outboard engine to inboard engine fishing boat

oh yes just a quick question as ive never been able to afford a boat before even though i lived on a quay all of my life haha do i have to use marine ply for the flooring or can i just use normal ply and treat it?also what paints for exterior are best in your oppinion?and the best application method for laying the paint? (brush,roller etc) sorry to ask but i just want to do it right so me and me son can get out there fishing asap lol. thanks.

@mrmrdean1 you can use osd board much cheaper and just give it a coat of good paint on the underside befor you fit it to the boat..i covered with f.glass..but plenty of coats of sealer woould do and if you use clear sealer it will give the floor a nice look..or you could use just paint...if your painting the fibre glass you better use poly..make sure its rubbed down well be for you paint cos it wont stick right and will just come off..i aslo use a small roller to paint f/glass but you use a spon

@mrmrdean1 sponge roller but you will have to roll over it again once it starts to go sticky to get the bubbles out

@electricdixie34 yes to be honest it looks like something thats out of my league to complete so i think its a out board for me lol,wished i could do that though, your boat also looks in real nice condition to and thats something im going to do with mine,only paid 250 for dory with a trailer off of gumtree (no engine) no floor in the cab and just needs rubbing down and painting and couple of small repairs,ive been told that tidied up it,ll be worth a 1000 so im a happy chappy,thanks again.

@mrmrdean1 yes it goes well but hard project to complete better than an outboard...took about 3 months to complete

I think this is a great boat project video! Each of photos covers ammount of work that many people who are not used to do things with own hands, dont understand and cant appreciate.
