Yeah, this has been one of my favorite Christmas Movies for years, and I never got this from watching it. My interpretation is, simply that Beeker, as he often does was agreeing with his counterpart, using his pointer finger, but since he only has 3 fingers, it came across, to I guess many of you as him flipping Scrooge the bird. This, however doesn't go with Beaker's Character. He has always been shy and withdrawn. I don't think the puppeteer was doing this as in an "Easter Egg". However...

Trust me I have studied this very scene, and hence Beeker alot. Becker's hands are actually human hands inside of a 4 finger glove. What you think are Beeker's other 2 fingers bent down beside his index finger are actually a humans pinky, and index finger inside of Beeker's Pinky. So it truelly is a human's middle finger. The real debate should be since Beeker only has 3 fingers, and a thumb would this finger be considered his middle finger, or his ring finger.
