  • Impressive! use Forth finger to play GaoYinSheng. I played ZhongYinSheng and suona. Instrutor also Mr. Ong Yi Horng, same as Kelvin. A very interesting Mozart's Turkish March played. Impressive!

  • hi Drummerjoni,

    it's a traditional Chinese reed pipe mouth organ, called the sheng. The version here is a fully chromatic one, as compared to the traditional hand-held ones (see my other vids).

    Similar instruments that have its lineage traced to the sheng are found in many parts of South-east asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia etc) and even the harmonica and pipe organ are said to be derived from the sheng.
