It's not a photoshop trick, this person sketched the eye using Armin's original as reference. If you put the two up next to each other when he's finished you can clearly see differences in the light and shadow in the eyeball, the wrinkles and the eyelashes.
I think what's really ugly here is not that this person referenced a piece of artwork without crediting the original artwork, but that without really looking at the facts a mob jumped on this person and started being abusive and aggressive.

If you actually watch this video and pull up the original piece of artwork beside it, you will see that there ARE differences in the finished piece.
