  • @sexyAljoscha I'm not a personal trainer or anything but I have been working out a while and usually after you do some hardcore weightlifting or cardio you want to replenish your body with nutrients. I usually take a whey protein shake because it has vitamins and shit as well as a ton of protein with almost no fat or carbs in it.

    tl;dr take it right after. But don't take anything fattening! Look at the nutrition facts on your protein bars before you eat them!!

  • What he says is true about the 10 mins of cardio. Actually high intensity leg exercises boost testosterone while doing too much cardio, say like an hour might actually have negative effects on testosterone

  • @clydecazenas Well, if you keep doing just sit ups and no cardio, you will build muscle, but it will still be covered up by fat. Which is why it is really important to do cardio if you want to have abs. The only way to really lose fat is by raising your heart rate, and doing sit ups isn't going to do much for that. So, really, you should focus more on cardio than ab exercises.

  • Crunches and sit ups are only great for firming your abs.The real deal is cardio.Trust me I've always had a flat belly but intensive cardio combined with abs workout is transforming it into a work of art.Keep up with your training routine.Bless

  • The best way is to jog for 1 minute and then sprint for 1 minute and do this for a total of 15 minutes..... it is very very very hard but you will burn fat very very very fast... with the right diet of course

  • i have abs but they are a covered by a layer of fat. not that large but large enough so you only see the upper abs. whats a good starting point in cardio for me? i have great abs ,they are just covered, i thought doin crunches and ab excercises would work but apparently thats taking too long if you could reply back with some info id appreciate it soo much

  • Do exactly as he says in the video. High intensity, short period of time on the treadmill. Btw, watch your diet more so. Keep them junk foods away.

  • when i was fat i found boxing a great work out not the actual fighting but the training method. I just got a punch bag for my room, speed bag, skipping rope and a set of dumbells. Not only do you lose the weight but you gain strength speed and convidence in self. And the fact that hes 14 will find it fun to wack the hell out of a puch bag.

  • i used to be this motha fucker...lol i was at 4% body fat weighed 130 at a 56 height.

    i basically did the same thing he did (run as hell) it helps a lot when you do this for as long as possible get your heart rate to maximum.

    in the end i lost over 25 pounds...and then i got married and then having a very careless diet and a hungry wife mostly all the time got me back into a fatass...i weigh 155 now and still gaining...

    anyways im tired of this body...im about to get back on runin'

  • I never tried to do Jump Roping as exercise. I have a good workout one made of some brown leather or something.  Anyways, does jump roping really help a lot? And how long do I need to do it for it to be effective?

  • the beauty of it, is it's all you need. for we the poor, myself included, we could go all out and spend a whole $30.00 on a rope and be done with it.

    you could then do high intensity interval training with the rope, same as he's doing. slow at first then burst speed for the same length of time as he says. i find it harder than running, on my heart and lungs. you're moving your entire body, arms, legs and jumping sooooo

    high intensity interval training is the key though.

  • If you stop all soda intake (the sugary kind) that will make a big difference. You will still have to do cardio though. And if you combine the two (taking out sugary drinks, and more cardio), you'll see a huge difference in the amount of weight you lose.

  • craig valentine said something different. and then when i went out and tried his way i was ... about to throw up. i then re-evaluated and just did it your way naturally. glad it wasn't just me, because i was kicking myself to not do it his way [jog for 2 minutes to warm up, sprint for 2 minutes, then jog 30 seconds and sprint 2 minutes and just repeat that] i couldn't hang with sprinting 2 minutes, it's crazy. but your way i felt results immediately.

  • The alternating technique is a very fast way to burn fat. Junior year of highschool I cut twelve pounds in two weeks during a period in which football pre season had not even begun. I recommend this. I started by doing one mile at a moderate pace that is comfortable. After a mile is complete i brisked walked 1/5 of a mile at spd 4-5 and alternated between 1/5 of a mile for at least 2 between brisk walking and sprinting speeds 10- and up. You will lose alot of weight even with a bad diet.

  • in a gym the personal trainers or whoever will most likely have calipers, they take measurements from different parts of your body and then tell you the percentage

  • if you want to get bigger, you need to lay low on the cardio and keep your weight (that youre using) high and rep count low. doing this will tear and recruit the most muscle fibers and after proper nourishment of post-workout protein, the fibers will grow back larger. By post workout i not only mean AFTER the workout but also in the days following. Think 1-1.5g per pound of lean mass on your frame. reserve cardio for when youre trying to cut up. Think high protein, low carbs, and moderate fats

  • I understand what you are saying. The thing about the Human body is that its like a car, if you jog for long distances your body will adapt to it and will start to burn fat slower for the long distance like giving yourself a higher gas mileage, while thats good for your car thats not good for you. You want to be a sports car, a gas guzzler, and sprinting will give you that.

  • 1 hour a day on a runmachine, then you'll loose weight ass hell! . You have to burn at least 800-850 calories a day. And that you can loose in 1 hour my friend. 30 minuttes on run machine and 30 minuttes on the step machine. There you go!

    keep in mind that in those 5 minutes you have to work your ass off, and its almost always unpleasant, but hey it saves you time.

    Try low to high intensity sprinting or interval training.
