pictures never do this car justice, in the flesh this thing is incredable, german cars are good n all, but they never turn heads on the street, this car and xf everyone is like wtf is that, this car is brilliant its just so invovative, and it doesnt look too similar like the xf, with bmws its like is that a 3 series or a 5 series, mercedes, is that a c class or a e class, audi, is that a a4 or a6. this car represents a new design in luxury cars :)
I honestly don't know what the designer was thinking when designing the rear end.. Must have had a streak of bad luck when he was thinking in that moment. It destroys the whole concept.
Shiity video, to much "voice" on screen, not enough of the car, a "voice over" would have been better, a third of the screen is filled bt a suit and no tie.
I think Jaguars have always been the best alternative to Frankfurt and Munich's boring saloons. Certainly, the last gen cars were pretty too, but only really struck a chord with the nostalgic british and nowhere else really. I think the new xj and xf are great revolutions and will keep jaguars head and shoulders above water. Whats best of all though, is that it still looks like a Jaguar. Great looking interior too.
I am a younger person, and i for one hated the old jags, thought they were big old ugly looking overrated cars excluding the sports model. but these new ones look really good tbh. jag is going in a smart direction. all the new models so far are winners in my book.
Just came from the auto show in Atlanta & seen this car, hands down my favorite ! $90,000 is the price but will come with cash in the form of a cashiers check & get it for $80k ! Must be black with the peanut butter interior ! My new summer car hands down !
worras, i'm sorry you're disappointed. i know you were in the market for a $90,000 plus car, and now you'll have to content yourself with an audi a8 or 7 series bmw.
wow, life sucks for you doesn't it?
LOL...c'mon, man, its a fuggin CAR that's out of the price range of you and damned near everyone else posting.
you think it sucks, i and others think it's beautiful. i wont tell you to 'shut up', because you have a right to your opinion.
@neoconsnightmare3 These aren't 90,000 cars bro, they start off at 74,000 and change. I just bought a used 2009 XJ with 39,800 miles for $27950 from Texas Auto Direct, the biggest car dealership in the country that is most well known for their ebay and online sales.
You can get a 2009 model for under $30,000 no problem in pristine condition, one pre-owner, zero accidents and less than 45,000 miles.
@MrMikeyboy1002 actually, the 2010s and beyond are, with supercharged engines, start at $87,700, or basicaly $90K.
the 2009 is a completely different car as the 2010 was a new version.
i won't be buying either version, however, as my wife wouldn't allow us to purchase a car that expensive. we bought out honda accord v6 new in 2009 for $30,000...cash. we both wanted a new car we could pay cash for.
With all due respect to Mr. Callum, he missed it. The new car is a generic design like a Buick or Lexus. The old XJ looked much better, it actuallly looked like a Jaguar.
to all the poeple who liked the old jag guess what, they did'nt sell. and yes they sold more nissans than jags so some one is getting it right and that was not jaguar. the new car had to be different to get a bigger share of the market.

I am very very very disappointed. I was waiting for a TRUE Jaguar, and now I see an "executive class" Ford Mondeo or like...Wanted a Jaguar and see a metal bucket...Fuck it.
Ever since 2008/9 Jaguar has taken a greater modern design edge on their new vehicles. The designs are more simplistic so the sedans don't only gain attention from wealthy tennis-playing wives and chauffers. They also took the unescessary numers out, ex. XJ880 or something, and just made it XJ, XF, and XK, of course with variants of each. I love the new Jaguars. (:

yes, exactly...I simply LOVED the Jaguar it was before - classical, stylish, intelligent and BRITISH...now it looks like a metal bucket with cheap Chinese style design...
Fantastic, love the front, the interior and the engines BUT without the blacked out rear pillars , and especially in the lighter colors, this would look like a hatch back, the designers obviously couldn't resolve certain issues with the rear end, so sad!
Overall I like it. The rear is a bit bulbous but it's fine. Now, hopefully they'll give these PROPER headlights to the XF and Jag will be well on its way.
Give me the XJ 2004-2009 any day.or make a 4 door XK like Aston Martin Ripide.

Jaguar XJ, XJL (2010-2011) and the Jaguar S-Type R is the best cars in every way. They are beautiful, powerful, amazing, until you want them to have!

This wasn't designed by Indians :D
She11y 2 years ago 4
what makes you say that?
rocketballa4life 2 years ago
This was designed in the UK. Tata just gives Jaguar the money to build these things
She11y 2 years ago
but what makes you say it wasn't designed by indians. is it that they don't know how to style things?
rocketballa4life 2 years ago
Because the Cheif Engineer is called Ian Callum, a very proud Scottsman.
TangoR34 2 years ago 2
No, because it wasn't designed by Indians. TATA gives Jag the money and then they make cars and turn a profit. Duh.

great car but its indian i dont think that the indian manufacturer TATA will make a good high priced luxury car...just an opinion : )
P.S i know jaguar and land rover are brit cars but TATA owns the companies so that makes it indian.
dontknow95 2 years ago
It's just ownership, nothing changed on Jaguar. Jaguar is still based on the UK.
JohnHFilms 2 years ago 2
quite true, everyone owns everyone nowadays.
But I don't see anyone calling:
a Lambo german
a lotus a malaysian sports car
an opel american car
A Nissan French
and the list goes on...
So, picking on jags perhaps?
