you could also just get one of those cameras that has a lens hooked into a casing similar to a AA battery... then just mount that into the tube and your ready to go!
a .22 it's obviously much less, but can still damage the camera. the camera i was using now has lens problems, and i think it's because of the recoil and filming near the ejection area.
actually, the way you have it mounted, the slightest movements would shake it, since its so high and has more leverage... so yeah, i guess your right, try mounting it lower next time...
with any rifle, how much it "rises" depends on the stock... the back of the stock is a point of leverage, so the lower it is in line with the barrel, the higher it rises... if its directly back, it wont rise much, but if its about about the same height as the clip, it would rise much higher...
that's why i said basically straight back. you said pretty much said it yourself, there isn't much of a recoil with a .22, but still not enough for much leverage to happen. but any recoil can damage a camera. done arguing lol
Really cool, but I'm looking for something I can use for airsoft that would mount on a side rail or even the bottom rail on an assault rifle (I have a FN-SCAR) if that helps. Any suggestions as to how I can modify your idea? Thanks and great video.
ya. also you could use pcv, would be a lot faster. I just bought a ruger stock with picitanny rails on the front, which would be easily mountable. I would assume you could flip the vid 180* being that it would be upside down. hope it helps.
hey dude what happend to ur nose?
btw nice vid!

I assume you have to use the iron sights when using this setup. You should consider doing the same project except making one that uses 1913 rails.

ya keep the ideas coming. but as a warning, the shock from the shell may destroy your camera.

on a .308, but not on a .22 I'd imagine...

well....i have my doubts about that. there isn't much of a leverage problem, because, hopefully, the gun recoils basically straight back.
