Not really, in the last map, before you fight GLaDOS, you get in the console, you write: "sv_cheat 1", and then you write: "noclip", and then you can go through walls and everything, and if you'll go far enough, you can get to that place with the cake.

Only if you noclip. The game only has one ending and it is fighting glados in the mainframe room. On xbox360 that's it, but on PC you can clip through the last door opposite the mainframe room and find the cake room.

well i dont want to spoil alot but if youve heard about the cake on the internet you might already know too much.

so basically you wake up in a relaxation chamber and a robot tells you what to do and stuff and you get the portal gun whitch, youve probably see what it can do. you have to manipulate ur surroundings to get through each level, but then theres the story.

the computer, GLaDOs, makes you do all of these tasks for no reason but you do them anyway, and then she mentions that after the test there will be cake, so you keep going but after a while you start to discover things about the mysterious place and then alot of stuff happens.

i HIGHLY recommend this game to any gamer who can take some puzzles that make you think. the game is very charmingly different from other games and will make you think with portals. \

Does anyone here have garrys mod? u can easily access that room by no clipping. and if u dont have garrys mod, then all u have to do is access the console in the game(by going to options, keypad advanced, console ~) and then type in

sv_cheats 1

*enter*

and then type in

noclip

*enter*

and then press esc again and then u will be able to noclip, but the only way to turn it off is to type in noclip again.
