I rode on Pal from cebu to manila, on philippine airlines B744(RP-C7471) after taking RP-C8168 to even get to cebu, Mabuhay class rocks!!!!!! Dude, you must ride mabuhay class, it is hella great but if the flight is not full, and it is RP-C8168, you get a whole row in fiesta, and you can lie down, it rocks!!!!!
@dancena2 I had a whole row of seats on coach aboard a United Airlines flight from Seoul to San Francisco and I know what you're talking about... all 5 seats turned into a bed! Haha! :-)
good day, i just want to ask something, for example, i want to go to los angeles california, but i want to stop over in tokyo, does the japan immigration asks for a visa?
You wont be asked for a visa sa japan kasi you wont be passing thru their immigration, meaning hindi ka naman lalabas ng airport.
Pero if you intend to stop and go out sa airport and spend a few days sa tokyo (stopover is different sa layover), you will have to pass thru their immigration where you are required to have a visa.
@seaboo143 no as long as you have a booked connecting flight from tokyo to LA and the the restriction si that you cannot go out of the imigration exiting tokyo. But if you wish to exit tokyo and stay for more than 24 hours prior to your flight to LA you will need a visa see website of japan embassy. Hope this can be of help to you.
I like your videos very informative, accidentally I watched your video in NAIA here in you tube because im looking some information about Airport to know what will I do this coming October , going to Abu Dhabi for the first time, Im a little bit nervous to travel alone... and finally I knew it already because of your video..thanks...Have you been to UAE?
It's nice to know that my vids are of help to you.
I understand the anxiety of having to travel alone- afraid of getting lost, no one to share stories with or at least laugh with throughout the journey.
Anyway, 4 things you'll pass thru in International airports- security, check-in, travel tax/terminal fees, and immigration.
My latest vid in YouTube is THAILAND TRIP, maybe it'll be of help as I brought along a friend who traveled for the first time.:-)
I used to co-host for a show in IBC-13, and do guestings for ABS-CBN. Just small time rackets for channel 2 as I did administrative work (production). My last gig was playing a semi-regular role for Basta't Kasama Kita, one of Juday's soap series.
I never really liked NWA. Service is as not that amusing, next to United. That's just my opinion based from my experience with them. I was never impressed by US carriers (whether there's personal TV on seats or none) compared to Asian carriers. What makes my fly NWA is because of their WorldPerks program. It's easy to redeem miles for award tickets. :-)
She's wiping her face with this strip of paper that removes excess facial oil. In short, she's prepping up. College girls carry lots of those strips of paper in booklets and stuff it in their handbags.
Yup. The route was Manila-Tokyo-Bangkok, and the return trip was in reverse order.
I managed to save up miles good for 4 free tickets, and we had time to spare to go up to Tokyo. There wasn't any NWA partner airline that flies direct from Manila to Bangkok that time so we took the long route. :-)
magkano ba madalas ang plane ticket. kasi kami middle class lang. sa subdivision lang kami nakatira. kaya rin ba naming mga middle class na gawin yung ginagawa nyo. yung madalas nagtotour sa ibang bansa.
NWA uses A330's from NRT-BKK these days. I flew on on Philippine Airlines from Xiamen to Manila one time. I'd still go for the 747-400, though older, it's somewhat spacious to me.
Yeah we enjoyed this trip a lot. My bros and cousin were hilarious off cam! :-)
I've always been fascinated by the B747-400 until the Airbus A380 came along, haha!
I like the B747 anyhow, compared to the small B737 and the 767.
I suggest you go look at photos of the aircrafts you mentioned to get a better idea. You can also look at airline websites to check on their seating arrangements, just so you know how their cabins look like.
fastest airliner currently flying is the 747. Voted best commercial airplane in the world 2 straight in a row now. With it's size, and speed it's really the queen of the skies. Only drawback is lacking the latest passenger entertainment system you see in A330 and B777. The last 747-400 rolled out the factory last Friday April 10, 2009. It will be replaced by the new 747-8. Imagine, the space and speed of a 747-400 and the passenger comfort of a B777. I am excited with this airplane already.
I'd still go for the services ng mga Asian Airlines compared to U.S. carriers. Pero within Asia, ok pa. Pero yung food... haay... I'd take CX nalang or SQ. :-)
ah ganun b,,,,hmm cguro mag pal n lng ako.....much better b kesa s NWA??....kc flight ko from here to narita,,,aun naghahanap ako ng cheapest airfare hehehe,,,
If you're after the frequent flier miles, go for the Sky Team (NWA, Continental, Korean Air, China Southern) although di gano maganda service para sakin, except Korean Air, ok naman. PAL is a bit expensive pero it gives you a feeling of home, unless you want it far away from home, haha! Cheapest fare... Continental dati naka jackpot ako ng $700 kaso may stop sa Guam tsaka Honolulu.
Yes. But from what I've learned from flight school, it can't take off right away after we do. It needs to wait for a while and let our jet's wake turbulence pass. :-)
Because my Northwest doesn't have a direct flight to Bangkok out of Manila, and didn;t have any partner airline that time that flies a direct route. Also, I intended to stop by Tokyo just so I can visit Narita again. I didn't mind going north in the morning and south in the afternoon. I wasn't on a rush and favored a side trip to another country. :-)
i have a question for you. why do you travel a lot? do you have business abroad or just to unwind. and what are the places that have you visited? filipino din ako.
Places I've visited... um, almost everywhere except Europe (sadly), Middle East, Africa, South America, and the Carribean. Other than that, it's a long list.
I just wish I can visit the places I mentioned above so I can do more vids. :-)
I tried doing that in my Manila-Incheon-Hong Kong vid but I just can't squeeze them all in 10 minutes. I had to cut a lot of scenes in this vid though... (sigh!)
If you're paying for the ticket, from Manila it's going to cost you about $1,300 per person. It stops by Tokyo, which is NWA's Asia hub. I used instead my frequent flyer miles to treat myself and my bros (and cousin Pfil!) so we can unwind a bit! :-)
Anyhow, I really appreciate it that you are eagerly expecting to see my vids. Thank you for watching! I should greet you in one of my future travel vids, haha! :-)

tuxedo32mania 3 years ago
Hahaha! Baka mas pobre pa nga ako sa inyo e, haha! Mukha lang akong may kaya, pero hindi, hehe! Buti ka pa nga sa subdivision nakatira.
O naman, kaya niyo mag tour. Madali lang 'no. Basta lakas lang ng loob, be adventurous, and have funds.
Example of a rountrip ticket- MNL to HKG mga nasa $200. Ticket lang yon a, di pa kasama lodging/hotel. Pero kaya mo yon.
I suggest HK muna puntahan mo, then ibang countries na. Madali kasi umikot doon e, maliit lang. :-)

darkangel14394 4 years ago
I travel a lot for the following reasons:
1) My family is based in the U.S. and I visit them often
2) The more I travel transpacific, the more free tickets
3) More award tickets, more travel (to almost anywhere)
4) Definitely no business abroad but rather to unwind
5) To do AIRLINE & AIRPORT vids for YouTube, yeah!
Then when I get back home, it's back to nursing school again. Work, work, work. :-)

Why do you knock on the door before you enter the plane? Does it mean anything?
tupeh25 4 years ago
For reasons:
1) I want to feel the plane's exterior (aircraft steel)
2) It's a ritual I've been doing since my first airplane ride (believe me, it was a PAL BAC-111 aircraft!)
3) I just feel like doing it
4) It's like tapping a friend on the shoulder, as if telling the plane to make a safe trip to our destination
:-)

Bangkok to Manila has been posted last week. I think you're looking for part 3, haha!
It's just that I am preoccupied with nursing stuff and that the Xiamen (and Tokyo to Bangkok) vids are easier to edit for now.
The vids you are waiting for are scattered in chunks of video clips and I have to arrange them, so it'll take time. It'll be posted soon!
