If you are 150cm tall it will be impossible but if you are 196cm 10 Pounds is very realistic in a year and with good genetics 20 can be achieved with perfect diet and training. My goal was 10 Pounds in 12 weeks or more would be a bonus. I never said I gained 20 in 12 weeks.
@RiddleHD 12 weeks is also a good target to see any kind of result. I gained 10 lbs and reduced bf by 3% believe me with my height, knowledge and dedication I would have hit 20 lbs easily if I was on the gear. The goal was 10 anything over that was a bonus. Depending on your genetics 10 lbs is possible in 3 months but as you get bigger the process slows down, so dramatic increases get harder. It's amazing that anytime someone gets some sort of a result they get branded as a steroids user.

@luksonije The lower your bf% gets the harder it is to reduce further . You may need to cut all carbs to push it down.
