Nice visuals. Back in '83, when I was at art school, one of the professors asked us to make a piece taking the phrase "Baby's on Fire" as an inspiration. We'd never heard of Eno before and everyone's pieces came out amazing.
This is fucking incredible work!!! I disagree with the polotics behind the song, i was under the impression it was about pornography. I beilive brian said that himself. please corect me if im wrong.....but again brillant work!
While I appreciate any Eno posted on youtub, over 2 minutes of this song has been cut including most of Fripp's solo. Please try again to do better. Thanks
I used to get wasted with a friend who looked just like the dude in this video, and we'd get off listening to that album in the early 80's.That wacked out guitar solo would make me peak out!
great job i just wanted to say i think some people miss the anti war message in the song and forget the baby on fire image of the little girl from the veitnam war as they photographed her runnin on fire from dow chemicals napalm they just plain suck
801 only existed for a few gigs, saw them in 1976 at Reading Festival with some bitch shouting "Eno!" all the way throug the gig near me,holding a balloon with ENO felt tipped on it.Boy I hated her for all that shouting it spoiled my home recording (which I still have)...and spoke to her,now we are married and have 4 kids.Life's a bitch...You never know do you?
Original on Eno's 1st solo album here come the warm jets: guitar solo by Fripp. Live 801was really Manzanera's group. There does exist a website for 801 live fans.Only they don't have a video, nor a DVD. I own the record on vinyl & CD,but I want more.
TY Walter, just tried to search the site but could not find, is there a more specific name? Now that I listen to that solo I can recognise it as Fripp but never realised before.
Wunderbar. I'm still desperately looking for 801 live on U tube.Baby's on fire, guitar solo Phil Manzanera, drums by the ridiculously young Simon Phillips is music to get drunk by. The best live album ever!
That solo by Fripp is one of the greatest of all time. Its sad that so many people have never even heard of this song, let alone the names of Brian Eno and Robert Fripp.
I just turned my teenage son on to this song...and I said the same thing...Fripp's guitar solo is one of the best ever recorded. It's a wonderfully composed and performed song...timeless in my view.
god this is my favorite song of all time by a long shot of brian eno.. ythis sonmg is jsut brillant.. he went bad after this album his fisrst . wha tdo others think ??
Great song from Here Come The Warm Jets. Fripp and Paul Rudolph on guitars & John Wetton on bass, Brian Eno always gathered some interesting musicians for some original sounding works. What's the vid, male cheerleaders with fire batons. Don't set your hair on fire baby. Ha ha ha ha ha. Nice work.

Song has been edited, Fripp's solo is much longer.

Wow it was Fripp on solo? I always assumed it was Manzanero.

Unreal...I just said the same thing on another post where I disagreed with the writer.
I concur wholeheartedly. The 801 live album is arguably the best live performance and recording ever. It's a masterpiece!

Yes, same with me! Been looking for 801 to pop up for over a year! Almost bought the album the other day.

A little cheesy. Too bad so much of the best part of the song was cut out. Maybe it should have been called "Honey I Shrank the Fripp".
