  • @FatLiquid just download it from apples site or go to the apple store

  • would i need to get an antivirus for bootcamped Windows or is it good without one?

  • @ItalianGamer97 If you plan on using the Internet on your Windows partition then yes, antivirus is a good idea. Many people, including myself, don't use the internet at all on the Windows side, and in this case you should be pretty safe as long as you only use accredited programs/games.

But still, antivirus is always a good idead regardless of what operating system one uses.

  • very helpful! thanks

  • hey what program r you use to rec that tutorial... thank you.

  • @angelocostero he uses screenflow

  • LOL at your disclaimer.

  • i think u are gay

  • Does anybody know why i cant get internet on my windows partition ? help please

  • @FSGamerTag Have you installed your drivers? It should work properly with a genuine copy.

  • @FSGamerTag You need to install applications from Mac Applications Install DVD, after that you need to restart your computer and it should work just fine.

Make sure that you are using ethernet (wired internet connection) because AirPort and few other including mouse and keyboard drivers require updating.

  • can you get viruses once you install windows? and if your using you mac os x will you get viruses?

  • thank!!!!!!!!! fuk i was like i fuked up haha ty man

  • thank!!!!!!!!! fuk i was like i fuked up haha ty man

  • u r a soldier?

  • so when i install windows disk i then have to install those mouse and keyboard things? and all will be good\?? and when i first go onto the windows will i need to get internet and that? if so does it cost?? idk much im not that expirienced.

  • @TheGeeksoldierz You need to install drivers from Mac applications (NOT Mac OS) DVD that comes with every Mac. When you have installed Applications into windows partition, you just plug the ethernet cable into ethernet port or set wireless internet connection and you are ready to go, you don't have to buy anything.

All you need to connect your mac on windows partition into internet and all other hardware drivers are in Applications Install DVD. You do need to install virus protection though

  • i'm assuming that boot camp works with any os, like linux. am i correct?

  • Have you tested out what works and why won't work? like will have you tested the mighty mouse, the magic pad, the bt keyboard and the superdrive or he Air?

Also will the mouse gestures work and if not how does one right click?

Also other videos say we need a MS hotfix so do we need that or which models do require that? Pls Make a video showing what works and what doesn't work and how to get it working. Also Can you show us how to install Ubuntu thanks.

  • I have a question: I have Windows 7 Home Premium via bootcamp on my macbok pro. Is there a way that I can upgrade my windows to 7 Pro through bootcamp?

  • @israelda1 in windows go to my computer, right click, properties and it will bring up a screen. Go to operating systeme and in windows 7 click upgrade and you can purchase and download online a newer upgraded os

  • @andrew4whl when you go into bootcamp partition, just drag the middle of the apple and windows part to how much you want to split it in

  • @NKDJ2 So, Since I already have the drive partitioned your saying all I have to do is adjust the slider to expand my Windows partition and that's it? Do i have to "click" the Partition button again? Or restart into Windows? Excuse my ignorance here, but I don't have much experience doing this yet.

  • If I use boot camp am I exposed to the viruses that can only be found on pcs or does it still count as os x?

  • @s07561277 Unfortunately yes you need antivirus on the windows partition on your mac just the same as you would on a PC.

  • @PhilipOConnell Ok thanks alot. I won't be going on the internet on the windows partition that's for sure

  • Thanks Man!!!!

  • if i hav a macbook pro, and i would like bootcamp, do i still need to install the drivers cd that comes with my mac?

  • thanx very much

  • Using Window on Mac is it vulnerable for virus get into your comp? and do you need any type of protection software?

  • no. when you are in Windows, it can't sense you Mac hard drive. this means that if you get a virus while in Windows, the virus can't sense you Mac hard drive. you can download a program which WILL let windows see the mac hard drive, but then it will also let viruses see it

  • Your funny. No, not that way but in a lol kinda way.

  • great video!

  • I have one question. Is there a way to set up my mac so it starts with OSX on default? My mom has to use this computer too and she isn't used to windows, so I want us both to be able to use it, while I can turn it on any time and run either OS. Thanks!

  • Do you lose all your programs on the mac after the boot camp installation????

  • @hypa1 no

  • wish I watched this before I installed win xp lol..

  • This is not a gesture of peace.....

  • great video really helped me out

  • My Mac has Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Windows 7, Windows XP (for those subborn programs that just REFUSE to work on 7), Windows 98 (...cuz I can :P) and Google Chrome OS (well... not really but I have set it up for that and put it on later.)

  • i just installed my mac os x disk and my keyboard works out gr8 but the magic mouse ain't working...

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent intro. Thanks for the great video. Enjoyed every second of it.

  • Thanks that was helpful. But I was wondering, if I am installing windows using boot camp (on an iMac not Macbook) do I need a USB keyboard and mouse? I asking because the new iMac comes with wireless stuff.

  • Actually, I reinstall it as fat-32 before i used the NTFS system, but now both applications are working? thanks

  • Thanks for this, your better at explaining it than the "genius"

  • I installed w-xp using bootcamp assistance. But after i did that my xp froze. what do i do to fix this problem??? please if anybody help me with that?.... thanks

  • did u install drivers after initial xp install

  • dont you need two harddrives to run bootcamp?

  • no it works 4 partitions, basically 1 actual hd but shows as 2 in win or mac

  • no you partition one and your computer will look at'em as two

  • you are awesome!!! this helped alot xD

  • about how long does this proces take??

  • can you have bootcamp on a laptop like a macbook or macbook pro?

  • yep

  • hi, im usin mac os x 10.4 tiger, and i cant seem to download boot camp? how can i do? please help me out, i'm stuck.

  • I Wanna Win!!!

  • how you do the clicking and red circles ??

  • is ther a disk i can use that i got with my laptop to install vista or do i have to buy a new copy please some1 tell me i really need to know?? ASAP

  • you can use the disk of the laptop your got.

  • i didnt install vista on my laptop it came installed on my laptop all ready. so what disk can i use

  • Even if your computer allready has vista/windows on it, it should still come with a disk. If you didn't get a disk then you will have to buy one.

  • Sorry for all the Qs but what should the disk say on it?

  • I'm useing windows XP and it says:

    OPERATING SYSTEM

    service pack 2.

As long as it says operating system it SHOULD be Ok.

Remember, when installing windows when it asks you where you want to install it to chose bootcamp. I recomend whatching tutorials on youtube on how to set up bootcamp because if you do somthing wrong windows will overwrite everything mac on your computer and you will be stuck with windows.

  • k thanx soo much for your help.

  • your welcome

  • always install anti-virus when you start up windows!

  • so if your in lets say vista, it is the FAT32 or what ever its named? and you can for example download things using torrents and stuff, legally ofcourse :P ..and play games for windows?

  • It's a feature in the Application called "Screen flow".

  • i've got a problem..When im creating a partition, it says:

"The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved.''

    please help!

Ive been desperate to get a macbook for ages. A family member bought me a gift a few months ago . . . a packard bell lol. Nice gift but im sure it doesnt compare to a mac.

Still gonna save £ for that mac :o)

  • i have a problem with this i uninstalled it but wanted to reinstall but its saying that i need to format my drive to restore it

  • do you know how to make the hardware keys like the eject, volume, and screen brightness keys to work in windows?

  • @macbookpro57 install drivers from mac os x install disk

  • ya ik, i posted that comment like a couple months ago and it works fine now =)

  • windows can run mac?....

  • yes you can run both simultaneously

  • simultaneously....love that word :)

  • i had to use spell checker to get it right :)

  • @kingjowl Mac can run windows, Windows cannot run mac

  • oh yeh shit my bad :)

  • Here's a boot camp tip: don't buy a mac in the first place, dumbass

  • wth? mac is the best OS, windows sucks. my macbook runs mac OSX and windows xp so suck it. use mac for important tasks (pretty much everything) and then windows for flight simulator x and trackmania, you're just jealous

  • i used to run those games through bootcamp or something, but now i found "cross over games" - its a program which enables you to play them without having to start windows its great

  • Haha. Stick with your shitty windows then. Suffer Silently.

  • Haha. Stick with your shitty OSX that has a much smaller software library than windows.
