They use two men, and robotic legs. Notice bit of white shirt left around pants after being cut.
Half man is used until 1:03, then video cuts to "The Hoff" after that, complete man with mask is shown, Doc helps fake thorax go into place, Now there's no bit of shirt on his pants anymore. We think it's the same man coz he's wearing a mask. Missing footage removed in post production. Notice distance of edge of table in regards to his fake knees in 1:03 and real knees in1:05.
