  • @lilynick1 I remember...there was a sexual innuendo about the key and the skates and some other words in this song. I don't know if there was any truth to it or if it was like "Louie Louie" and just a rumor.

  • Listened to this sooo much as a youngster! Now I drive my kids nuts playing it on my ipod in the car!  :)

  • When I was about 7 my mother would always repulse when this song came on the radio because it "meant more than (I could) understand." I laugh when people talk about the innocent times and innocent music. It really was not all that innocent, it just made us think more. Things haven't changed as much as we want to believe they have. I like the song much more now than I was allowed to then.

  • My parents used to sing this to each other when I was a little girl. My parents divorced after 30 years and life went on....My Mother died in May and as we were reminicing my Daddy asked we could find this song on the computer. We listened smiled and cried...Thanks for posting.
