This was very well done. And not stolen from anything. A lot of companies use campaigns like this (Ford, McDonalds, Coke, et cetera) and I'd say you have a pretty bright future in your field. Good work.
I don't know what you are referring to. I did a quick Google search for McDonald's typography, but couldn't find anything that official or all too similar. Typography pieces are pretty common, especially for introductory animation classes.
The only design element I am aware of "steeling" is the use of the Futura typeface family. It was a conscious decision made in reference to Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson, though they both use a heavier version.
