  • Church boys, lmao

  • I thought a salute was to run the hand up and down over the gig line.

  • @renoguy or whatever. Once a Marine always a Marine.

  • 3:08 RUN AWAAYY!!!!! lol

  • I was a marine for 4 years and got hit a total of 5 or 6 times. Yes it hurts I now can't move my left arm. But in training they work your ass hard. But you don't regret it in the end.

  • @ironhide0998 No you are not a Marine. Just the fact that you said "I WAS a Marine" Tells me your not.

  • i just want to know, do they only have worship service for christians in the marines or do they cater other religions too? coz im pretty sure not all are christians

  • Just Okinawa-islands bases 're good !

  • Two dislikes....Must have been in the Army.

  • 2:25 it's a walking bush!

  • Where is the part where they teach you how to urinate on dead bodies?

  • @demonofthefall101 ehh who cares talibans r shit

  • @demonofthefall101 where is the part where they kick you're ass for being disrespectful

    it was a single marine.

    NOT THE WHOLE DAMN CORPS.

  • @imaddictedtowow112 Eh. The commenter was an idiot. People pay too much attention to things like that these days where as in the ww2, a marine could kill a prisoner (which is wrong) and nobody'd know.

  • Can i ask a question? when I write a letter to send to boot camp for my friend. Do i have to write his name in the envelope?

  • @mikim1412 yes

  • @XvictorX0 You do get paid but not untill you are out of boot.

  • do u get paid while at boot camp

  • these videos are just a small peek into what this is all about, MAYKMENDO1, thats good advice, but its not just a name. You clearly did not watch a single video, take your own advice and do some research.

  • wat if u dun believe in god, do u gotta sit through the bullcrap?

  • @imnoobish No, it is a choice on Sundays.

  • I believe boot camp is harder now...

  • @kbaile111 it is and theyre going to add new techniques to basic exercises soon to make it that much more difficult

  • they should make an up to date one

  • Read my message little bro. You got a lot to think about before giving up your life to the government.

  • Little man, when you turn 18, you should think about what you want to do with your life first, and maybe even have some fun with the girls. You should go when you're about 21. Don't go so young man, they use you and get big ass bonuses cause you have no experience. Atleast do a lot of research, so you can know without a doubt what you really wanna do. Don't join just cause it looks hardcore and cool. Its just a fucking name. Get some pussy before you risk your life. Trust me.

  • When i turn 18 yea im go to US Marines

  • they used to shoot 203's at boot camp? holy shit

  • @ e4dannan, I was thinking the same thing. In 86 we clawed up it at night, what's this day time crap?!

  • what happens if u cant finish bootcamp?

  • When did they start calling it "The Grim Reaper"? When I was there in 87 it was Mount Motherfucker and Bitch Ridge.

  • I was at MEPS and someone said the Mothers of America complained enough to get the 10 mile hike up "the grim reaper" removed, is that true?

  • I wonder how many of them went to Iraq during Desert Storm and how many came back.

  • O_o GAS CHAMBERS IM READY TO GROW UP IM JOINING DA MARNES

  • @themvpdarryl The gas chamber wasn't bad. Just control your breathing and don't be a pussy.

  • @skipplet Shit im looking foward to it!!

  • @R0B0T1CxFILMAKER if you can read, air force might work for you lmao

  • anybody watching this/these have any insight into OCS? I'm thinking about it when I finish grad school next year

  • @onejordangerous you should do it dude.... easier to get promotions and such

  • 09 seconds hey I know that Marine.. SDI SGT Tuthill my Senior 3014.....

  • @3:08 do this in a real combat and you become magnet for bullets!

    ...enemies waiting for an ambush!

  • marine r the best! happy bday devils,

  • No wonder there are so many us deaths in afghanistan, all getting up at once and running to a base line without any covering fire is just asking to get shot.

  • @kingewan Most are IEDs, and 4000 over 10 years isn't that bad of a track record in comparison to the past.

  • @R0B0T1CxFILMAKER if you're not sure don't do it. If you're sure you should you'll wake up in boot camp one day

  • Comment removed

  • Oh I miss the gas chamber. If there was any part of it I would want to do again, Id have to do that. Definitely good if you have a cold.

  • you know maybe its cause theyre on camera but these drill instructors dont seem to yell lot or get in the recruits faces... hmm wonder why?

  • @joemama309563 they are on camera my dad was a marine and he said the instructors were the worst

  • from 5:05 to like 5:19 , are they shooting normal bullets? how are they glowing?

  • @TaElvis they're called tracers only used in training and combat using air attacks

  • i should not be watching these . makin me nervous as fuck...oh well only 2 more vids to go

  • RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!! 3:07

  • 00:06 that guy looks a complete geek, I wonder if he can get his pants any higher up than they already are!

Looks like mommy dressed him and sent him out to play soldiers!

  • @JawsFan27 meals rejected by ethiopians!

  • 5:04 Star Wars

    Yep...Thats me very soon

  • 6:51 very short recruit lol.

I laugh because that'll be me soon...

  • Seeing the tracers is just damn awesome.

  • I remember the night-live-fire training. Moto!!!!! 5:02

  • Is that tear gas?

  • whos the idiot that came up with the plan to teach these guys..discipline is one thing... and being a fool is another...the training sucks..

  • @AlienInvestigation Get outta here trololololololo.

  • 0:25... the gun checking in boot camp is what I'm afraid of... I'm afraid I'll mess up

  • @papercanfly lol if your afraid of that then dont fucking join the Marine corps. There is far more to fear then a simple inspection

  • Shipping out to San Diego for basic next January, my mom wants me to join the navy instead, fuck that.

  • i hear comments about paris island vs san diego...... id there truly a difference??? or just a competition thing like army vs marines??????

  • @xmike8259x just a competition thing

  • @xmike8259x its more of a competition thing. Although Hiking in Camp pendleton aka san diego is far more difficult then doing Hikes in paris island. A lot of people talk shit on east coast marines because of the easier hiking they had to do

  • I was on MCRD when part of this was shot. 1986... East coast or West coast its all the same, we are all Marines. I should know im a former 8511 (drill instructor) and 0311,0331

  • Why would anyone make a documentary about Marine Corps boot camp and go to San Diego? Paris Island is where the real Marines are made.

  • gas chamber good times haha

  • Yep when I turn 18 definitely going to join the marines

  • @stevenc182 ill try to be an officer and go in

  • @stevenc182

I am not an American don't even have a citizenship. Yet I really want to join the Marines, is there anyway ?

  • @ArminTheGman you need to be a american citizen with a high school diploma between the age of 17 and 35. you must have all of these to be a marine

  • @ArminTheGman yes you can enter the marines but you have to be a legal immigrant and non-citizens can not become officers or warrant officers.

  • @stevenc182 Oohrahh!! Let's Do It Brother!!

  • @stevenc182 dont get any visible tattoos trust me im waiting for a waver it might take 6 months and thats if its cleared if not i might have to get it removed im praying it gets cleared. stay out of trouble run pull-ups crunches study and everything should be good

  • @stevenc182 I wouldn't join. Why? So you can be shipped off to the middle east to get killed by Islamic radicals?

  • @rudemood2011 it's not about you, marines, I myself, do these things for others, everyone says not me, not my child, if we don't stand up like we should we would all be fucked by every other nation. Not saying you should stand a post, but just a reminder, be grateful to have young men and women out there fighting for you so you don't have too.

  • dammm they do everything we did in mct at bootcamp -.-

  • wow how bootcamp training has changed! i went back in august 2010! totally different! mcrd looks diff and camp pendleton is way diff. Semper Fi Marines! HMM-262, 1st MAW Okinawa, Japan!

  • I am going to sign up next month, I truely believe I can be a Marine. No wait, I'll Be a Marine!!!

  • Ham and Chicken loaf.... that never got old

  • I honestly believe, no don't get me wrong, i'm no recriut, i tried to join, but my hearing kept me from joining. Now personally, the M16 is by far the most easy rifle to shoot accurately especially on rapid fire. (Trained by the local sheriff department.)

  • Alot has changed since this video....Gotta go with the time...The Marine Corps' is a high tech military...UNDERSTAND!!!

  • 5:37 i swear to fuckin god this dude looks like 1stSgt Scott from my 1st Unit in K-bay, Hawaii few yrs ago.. And if it is, he must be a SgtMaj by now.. Just not sure if it's really him though but the timing should be just about right if this video is that old.

  • Marines:

It's about your country and the man next to you

  • anyone know where this specific boot camp is in this video?

  • 2 people didn't make it through boot camp

  • August 8th 2011! Last day of being a civilian as i shall ever know it

  • @ThePhantommet I started Marine Corps bootcamp in PI on August 8th 1995. Wow it was so long ago! Goodluck, it will be extremely difficult, but just take it one chow at a time. The first month is the hardest, but by then you will adjust. Make sure you are in great shape, cause it is very physical from day one. Just don't quit. It is one of the hardest things you will ever do, but also one of the most rewarding. Becoming a Marine is an honor not many will ever achieve. Semper Fi. Ooh Rah!

  • @ThePhantommet

    Good luck!

  • Coming for you, you shouldnt talk crap to people when you can't even spell or use the correct phrase.. "take for granite?" Wow, youre marine material thats for sure, dumb as a box of rocks.

  • 0:45 the guy has pretty eyes

  • how much has bootcamp changed from those times to these times spciealy with the water week???????

  • @Commingforyou Its my name on Xbox Live sorry....

  • I enjoyed the gas chamber. I actually came out smiling and laughing. Let me tell you guys, boot camp is motivating as is SOI, but the fleet is where they break you. The attrition rate in the Marines is high. Don't just enlist on a whim of motivation. consider your options carefully. If I could go back, I would have joined the Navy and gone into underwater maintenance, which includes welding.

  • wtf???

we didnt rate to say "oohrah" we were still recruits

    -______-

  • I'm hesitating if I'm going to college or joined the Marine as soon as possible but we can't afford for my college it is so damn expensive I'm the only but I decided to join this year.

  • @The19paul68 join the army.

  • Life*...damn phone

  • I had a girl in a Mississippi town, Marine Corps was gettin her down.

  • they cant make it for whatever reason..physically or mentally - Poole Saenz

  • What does he mean when he says "Not everyone makes it through first phase"? Are they kicked out?

  • @hairyknuckles1000 I'm pretty sure you get a do-over. And if you fail again you may be given a third chance under certain circumstances or sent home. This is also true of all phases to make sure only those who are ready get a shot at the crucible.

  • PLATOON 2053. SEMPER FI

  • MRE's help me let out the biggest fart imaginable

  • damn..i wish we wouldve gotten 1 hour to shower, shave, visit, write letters and read mail when i went to bootcamp.... must be nice. lol. Different strokes for different folks i guess.

  • grim reaper, hah. We called it mount motherfcker

  • I was in the Air Force and our basic training was nothing compaired to this. I have several friends and relatives that have been in all branches and everyone agrees... the marines do go through alot more. I am pround of Our countries military and those who served and those who are serving. I would love it if all those who graduated from school HAD to join one branch or another of the military. I think OUR COUNTRY WOULD BE BETTER. God Bless

  • @MARKK300691 i think it should be voluntary. the mandatory military during the draft had a lot of soldiers that didnt want to be there. they rebelled and rightly so. caused a lot to get killed. i enlisted because i want to be there. IMO today's volunteer army is the best.

  • @MARKK300691 I heard you man. It doesn't matter if your Army, Air Force, Marines or Navy. You joined up to do one thing, and that's to serve your country, and make the world a better place. But, what I seen, the Marines have the most in tense training there next to Army Rangers School. I'm in the National Guard, and I thought that Army basic training was tough, but it was tame compare to the Marines basic

  • dang when I graduated we had sea bag, garment bag, and some other big a* bag. lol

  • That is usually "tear gas" and is used for a marine (who must pass through it every year) to build up a mindset of what the worst could be, and how they react. "will they be scared? Or will they stay calm?" Learned that at Parris Island :D our NJROTC unit went their 3 days ago for a week.

  • What kind of gas is that and why do they do that?

  • 3:48 that food did not even look good

  • @JohnPinkney123 what do u think there gonna give u mcdonalds every lunch time

  • @lifeinthenfl lmfao noo ididnt

  • now a days they treat them like pussys, they used to be able to hit the recruits and a shit load of other stuff but now they cant

  • @kill3rcr3w

It's not the Marine Corps that decided to change that its a little thing called "Mothers of America".

  • @kill3rcr3w are marines any less badass? are you even enlisting in the Marines?!

  • I want to be a Marine so bad I'm thinking of giving up my Summer vacation for an earlier ship date.

  • @ThatNoobSomber

Dont. Party it up, but stay safe.

You cant stop time and your ship date will come.

  • @ThatNoobSomber you and me both bro. its best to get it out of the way. i was told to go august 8th of this year. but i fought for june. and now im leaving june 13th for camp pendleton

  • @ThatNoobSomber BAHAHAHAHA have fun

  • @ThatNoobSomber that's what i'm doing, and my mom's pissed about it :) haha

  • well, the hump i recall was called bitch ridge, then mt moutherfucker, then we was supose to go up to ol smokie but becouse a recruit died from going up there, it was cancelled. i didnt think the hump was hard at all. but i always was hiking in the mountains as a kid. nice thing though is noone ever fell out. love to visit that place again and hump it at night .

  • @glynamus Was this in boot? We did the reaper, then did the microwave and alpha shelf at SOI. Thought mt motherfucker was for recon, interested to know how the hikes changed though.

  • @npr386 yes, it was in boot camp in 1986. my plt was 2015. mt motherfucker wasnt really what they made it out to be for me. but it was a very, very steep hill. i remember how the dirt and sand would give slide you back with each foot step. its been awhile, but im sure alot has changed for the better. I wasnt with recon or force recon. Just a grunt =) semper fi

  • 5 more months cant fucking waittttttttttttttttt

  • @usmc030092 When's your ship date?

  • @hodgkins92 june 13

  • @usmc030092 haha i thought you were talking about May cause that's when I leave.

  • @usmc030092 hahaha yeah that's what you think...

  • @backoff2nite its what i know

  • what are they eating on 3:48???

  • @swing6995 MREs

  • what was 4:49 about..?

  • what week in boot camp does phase 2 start?

  • mc grad 94

  • Try Rm training. 32 weeks pure phis and tactical training. = Commando in a box

    = any war any country

  • how different is the basic training today?

  • wat happens if u dont pass the 1st phase?

  • And it's known as the Grim Reaper, not little reaper

  • My nephew left yesterday morning for the Island!!!! Hoo-rah !

  • @timothyj67

He'll graduate on January 21st, 2011 with Bravo and Oscar Company.

He'll be home before you know it.

  • @ghosthead32...try mind dominance

  • 4:07 "wanna hold the weapon, there?"

  • 4 more years for me :D male soilder

  • 4 more years for me :D

  • Marines are the American Spartans. They are a fraternity that is forged in blood and bonded by iron. They are the men who are the first to enter the fray, and one of the last to leave. They have refused to bow down to government regs regarding homosexuality and gender integration. And that is what makes these men true warriors.

  • @MrROTCcadet yea but not all of them

  • @MrROTCcadet and you are a puke cadet and have know clue what the military is about. let alone the USMC your a fanboy

  • @ThePointMan11B Not a cadet, it's just a screen name you blatant moron. I have studied the military all my life, am about to enlist myself, and have been getting ready all my life. I have a large respect for Marines. That is what I spoke out of. So I must be a fanboy huh? Is that what your saying Mr. "stick up my ass"?

  • @MrROTCcadet well good luck to you :) and thank you for your future service. i too well be in enlisting its a great title :)

  • Where is Basic Training for the Marine Corps located?

  • @VallacoGuitarist California and South Carolina.

  • Do they teach you how to shoot based off of eye dominance or hand dominance?

  • @Ghosthead32 eye dominance. sucks for you if you're alternate dominance with eyes and hands

  • i'd go to boot just to listen to the jazzy music.

  • 3:08 BANZAAIII! :D

  • i was just at Edson range for Devil Pups in agust
