  • come onnnn....do you cycle without a chain?!!?

  • its completely OBJECTIVE, you can take tight time and bearing turn less or vice versa

  • reminds me of my njs hatta r9400

  • if you remove the grease of a normal bearing, I mean to make it real clean and dry, it will also rotate, with out load, like this ceramic bearing! Did anybody tried it without grease?

  • i dont mean to resurrect a 2+ yr old video but the difference is probably due to poor quality of the original steel bearing.

  • @Goude07 all the steel bearing does not have the same quality. But is much stronger than ceramic!

  • @Goude07 this isnt a forum you nub. and all you nogrease retards are annoying same fucking comment in every single ceramic bearing video.

  • do you have grease on the second time?

if no, I want to listen it!

  • Isn't keeping the standard bearings in the pedals like pissing into the wind. I would think the stock bearings in the pedals people install on these crank bearings take away the advantage of the super smooth bearings in the cranks because the cranks can only spin as fast as the pedals turn.

  • i have classic bearings that last twice the time of this video, so please, give me a breake ;)

  • Fact: Grease type is 400X more important than bearing composition.

  • @hagenar greasse mean speed and friction

    bearing composition mean impact resistance

  • The old bearing (as you say) were Dura Ace and only one month old.

Your statement is not valid. The ceramic are twice as smooth.

  • you compare something used with something new.

so the test is not reliable....

  • Funny, my brand new Enduros didn't come close to anything like this. They spun just like the DA you show. Like the posters state above, you won't get any benefit other than reliability.

  • Yes an impressive demonstration, although completely misleading. The total amount of energy required to overcome the mechanical friction in your BB is so immeasurably small that it is almost completely insignificant to begin with. Adding ceramic bearings does little to provide any real performance advantage except from a reliability standpoint, where their hardness and corrosion resistance are an advantage.

  • LOL you could clean the grease out of the dura ace bearings and put wd 40 and get the same result, it doesn't really mean much.

however if the ceramic dont nead grease then it means something.

  • wow you can't argue with that, the proof is in the pudding!

I've upgraded Rollerblade and skateboard bearings to ceramic and it was a night and day difference. You can coast for so much longer. It makes me wonder how much I am missing out on with my new track bike.

  • ...... wow!! :)

  • That's amazing...

  • The Enduro bearings are the best! They still amaze me.

  • @quelletgary how much did you paid?

  • @quelletgary do you have these bearings for single piece crank bicycle?

  • The standard bearings stick badly!

It's just stops way too fast.

    Anyway, the ceramic is awesome.

  • @ave2timeslip there's a good chance the standard bearings were excessively preloaded, its easy to do with the hollowtech 2 design, most people over preload them and drastically shorten the lifespan of the bearings and increase the friction.

  • Are the bearings running with any lube or dry? They look to run extremly smooth.

  • The bearings are running the way they came from Enduro. I did not lube them, just installed and they are still smooth as ever.

  • @theoneandonlyshanks if no load is exactly as you say it!
