I cannot believe the band that wrote Images & Words and Awake also wrote the soulless crap that are Octavarium (the album, not the song, which is OK, but unimpressive), Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds & Silver Linings. Systematic Chaos is no better: Constant Motion is musically ridiculous, and The Dark Eternal Night is lyrically ridiculous, and the vaudeville piano does no help either (although the continuum does rock). Forsaken is a nice guitar solo that comes with an additional horrible song. In the Presence of Enemies pts. 1 & 2 are the only good tracks, and they have their lows as well.
