These horses are direct descendants of Przevalski horses(Or Takhi) and they are as big as them. I never heard anyone saying Przevalski ponies. During WW2 many thousands of these horses were sent to help Soviet Russia against Germany. Soviet soldiers did not like them at first, but once all thoroughbred horses(they need to be fed at all times) dropped dead during the winter, then soldiers understood that looks can be deceiving. There are a lot of stories about these horses by russian soldiers.
