  • the only thing that matters is that i can say i was there when these awesome artists came on the scene. it doesn't matter how much things suck today. just imagine being a kid in 2012 ... fuck me ... it's like living in the dark ages haha.

  • im a black guy and i love this song(thats right i said it.......)

  • everyone join hands and shout...DARN THOSE STUPID ADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • muy linda esta cancion!

  • Even before the video age they were ahead of the game.

    What a video.

    MASTERPIECE

The voice is haunting and the music is one of a kind.

Just like it was back in the early 80's when I first discovered ABBA

I still cant help but play and play and play their works

If only the music of today was magical like it was back then!

  • Well done ABBA , one of your best songs . And special you " angelic smile " Agnehta , one of the most beautiful girls in the world , thanks Sweden !....Greetings from Chile !!

  • best song eva of ABBA!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to say right now that in my opinion this is one of the best songs of all time and that Abba were the best band ever Bjorn and Benny are also the best ever song-writers much better than anyone else

  • @Gusdocs1

I remember listening to ABBA as a child in the 70's.

Always loved the "lyrics" and ABBA certainly was a master.

Looking back I see now just how much music formed the person that I am today.

ABBA is alive in the hearts of many in the year 2012

    Masters of their profession.

  • Ugh, I've ended up in the ABBA section of youtube. Now i'm going to be here for hours :(

  • @anditspaganpoetry

Careful now - that could turn into days, weeks..... or even lifteime as in my case.

  • @anditspaganpoetry Your only escape now lies in the land of the Bee Gees. I pray for your soul.

  • ma chi cazzo è questo?

    metteteje à musarola!

  • Prolly the best bands of all time ... love them forever

  • I think it was John Lennon who said this was the best pop song of all times. I think he was probably right.

  • @Skylikeday john lennon said "reminiscing" by the little river band was the greatest pop song of all times

  • @Milo2V1 Like you :D

  • gay song

  • @Milo2V1 no you are gay

  • @Milo2V1 then why did you click on it? i hate peopel that click on these song then have to put all us lovers down. if you dont like it then dont bohter tto put us all down man. FRWT♥

  • Meme après 30 ans ,ce groupe mytique restera toujours dans nos coeurs ,dans nos ames et dans notre culture

  • Thumbs up if you think tooth gaps are hot!!!

  • iam only 12 and iam a big fan of abba !

  • This is simply beautiful. Happens many times and everywhere. How many times haven't we seen the person we love cold and distant and without understanding what happened? And worse still she/he does not want to tell us what is or what we did wrong! -Jorge Mario

  • I don't think that there is an Abba song that I don't like. Magic.

  • musica como la de esta epoca es unica

  • jesus i love this band no pop band of today will ever touch abba

  • Pop bands are nonexistent because they rarely use instruments requiring multiple people.

  • for every number the made ; you think nice nice. i cant think of a bad number. please let me know

  • Красота!

  • First Abba record I bought in 1975 and the best IMO.

  • Jag e svensk och stolt över det :D

  • @SweIsak Er stolt over at være din nabo.Ville ønske vores musikalske traditioner var ligeså stolte som jeres. Hilsen Danmark :-)

  • always reminds me of Reeling In The Years!

  • this is a juicy s

  • Remember when this song was on the charts in 75 along with Wildfire. BOth wonderful songs

  • I love this song. It has a certain sound of desperation that thrills me.

  • When I hear music like this, I wish I grew up in the 70s and 80s. And that's an S.O.S. for me.

  • ABBA dominated pop music around the world in the 70s and for good reason. When thinking of their best, I think of I Do, I Do, I Do. I had never heard it before finding youtube.

  • None less than Peter Frampton and John Lennon considered this song to be "the best pop song ever written"

  • I'm a 77 yr. old turtle and I like this song. Yay.

  • @Snackay I like turtles!

  • @Snackay lol o gosh you are silly

  • @Snackay Good for you...

  • @Snackay omg are u really a turtle!? thats so cool having animals using youtube nowdays!

  • Bloody good for you, hope I'm still saying that when I'm 77!

  • music calls S.O.S.

  • Dancing Queen, Take A Chance On Me, Knowing Me, Knowing You, and S.O.S. are probably my all time favorite ABBA songs. Back in the 70's, I never paid any attention to the lyrics; only the beats (Disco) :) But now since I'm older, I pay attention to the lyrics more than the beats. Funny how everything in life, even songs, changes as time goes on!!

  • 107 people never heard Abba's S.O.S.

  • Agnetha is a GOD.

  • @widebody123 I agree, though she is actually a GODDESS. But yes.

  • il mito colpisce ancora

  • siete sempre il numero 1

  • Fun with mirrors!

  • gorgeous!

  • best abba song &video

  • last night me and my mate were walking up the bridges in edinburgh singing this at the top of our lungs drunk ... that defines how epic this song is.

  • She is the girl with the golden hair BUT that's not all, not by a long shot .. her voice, face and heart is a golden treasure, a treasure without comparison .. and then we have her body, do you know that she won Europe's "Sexiest Bottom" award in 1977 ... Agnetha is what I would call the ultimate dream girl, a dream that unfortunately never can be true :(

  • im brandon duran i love this song so "sexy"

  • One time, I thought the hand on the piano was some fleshy spider.

  • I love palindromes!

  • Love it!

  • Great analogue sound

  • I grew up on ABBA. My mom was a huge fan. This song and Waterloo always filled my house when I was a little kid. I still crank the hell out of sos. My kids hate it. DAMN KIDS ANYWAY!! lol.

  • Friendship Is Witchcraft brought me here

  • SWEDISH MUSIC=BEST MUSIC!!!

  • Guetta with the pedo-look. Creepy pic.

    D=

  • My only complaint is that you cannot make the backwards "B" in order to spell ABBA properly.

  • Finally a preceding advert I don't hate.

  • Brilliant super group!

  • Fabri mona

  • i wish vevo would fxxk off!!!!!!!!!!!

  • agnetha a very hot sweedish burd

  • @TheBriad

    She is a vixen!♥

  • Once I heard this song, I was hooked on ABBA. I couldn't get enough of their music. I love to listen to their songs especially when taking long highway drives. They sure help the time and the miles fly by.

  • was 15 in 1975. . .was on a school cruise on the ss uganda going around the med. . .met a girl called sue from bideford/appledore. this was in the charts, and was played on our last day before going our seperate ways. . we snogged for what seemed like hours, teenage love eh, those were the days!! so sue if you are still out there, and still listen too this and think of then. . .message me yeah

  • @stevieboybond Did she??

  • woo!! crazy outfit's!!! but i love abba!! anyways. and i`m 11 years old =P

  • Get rid of the fags hags, who actually believe that you are bi-sexual and get yourself happy !!!!!!! YOU ARE 100% GAY !!!! I love you OMG, you are sooooo stubborn.

  • Got to love those 70's fun house mirror and kaleidoscope special effects!

  • why cant you hear me darling cant you hear me SOS

  • shut the f--k up you haters

  • lindoooooooooooooo

  • why does the blonde always got this look to her face like she needs to poop bad? Is it a cultural thing with those people or does she need to hit the head? If its cultural I will back off because I dont want to make those folks uppity with something that may seem biggoted. Abba is awesome though. What one of the fella's was married to the bog witch lookin singer? Was it Benny? I hope not he seems cool

  • @madmoran1029 Mad moron, you are nasty . Why don't you just show a picture of yourself , so we can judge you?

  • @madmoran1029 Benny was married to Anni-Frida who is the brunette. The blonde is Agnetha and she was married to Bjorn.

  • I'm a teenager but I love ABBA! I'm not gonna say that today's music is a load of crap but man this song can kick any of today's songs asses! And this isn't even my favourite ABBA song (mine is Mamma Mia).

  • Dear You Tube, please get rid of that Nicki Manaj stupid hoe banner

  • oh! i just LOVE this band so freaky. i was watching a niki minaj video just now and i was like 'wtf is this!'. now ABBA is what you call music.

  • me encanta abba queria saber domdeestan ahora ellos

  • Strawberry on the Shortcake

  • i'm hearing a classic calm song and i'm a punk rock listener can someone explain this???

  • Agnetha Tiene La Facilidad de demostrar en su rostro el tema que trata la canción.

  • adoro as musicas do abba.

  • absolutely reflects my feelings :(

  • Wonderful

  • Todas sus canciones son perfectas

  • Is pitty that they were together only 10 years!

  • 2:49 lol

  • This is 'big' music...Agnetha & Frida had powerful voices, & think whatever one may, they put emotion into their singing..........

Always liked this one, and wonder how Rihanna got away with stealing the title for her 'SOS'.....

  • @petrusprimusmaximus titles fail to be copyright protected

  • @petrusprimusmaximus Only melody and lyrics are copyrighted. Titles and chord progressions are not.

  • @widebody123 Well, her teeth could use a little work, no?

  • @8584zender Don't think they had that kind of work in 1975.

  • Comment removed

  • Polacy Tutaj ! Przejmujemy ! : PPP

  • Could this song be about the cold war? I heard an interview with Benny and he said he often had political lyrics but didn't want to be too obvious

  • @widebody123 u got that right

  • Abba-Amazing.

  • Lies, false!, Agnetha and Frida, speak perfect English. Particularly, Agnetha before age 20, fluent in English and German, obviously also Swedish.

  • i love abba and i love james last

  • The most sexiest lips on the world.. :-)

  • ABBAA The Best of the Best anytime..!!

  • Abba is top

  • Agnetha is one of the most amazing vocalists of all time, ABBA would'n't have been as successful without her. I grew up listening to ABBA songs and i've always been in love with her.

  • Lovely! :)

  • Strawberry On Shortcake

  • AM Radio Reached In but it took Chenobyl!...Omnipresence Is an Excellence especially in a song Addressing!....The Kingdom of I Am Music!...A LassieSongsUSA!...but If I Had The Universal Translator With Me In This Music...To Set Free The Communist Soviet Russia somehow!

  • you know what is so sad about this? abba's crappiest song is still better than 99% of the number 1 song's of today. i truly don't know who is to blame for most of todays crap...but they need to wake the f--k up!!!!

  • @69mercurymarquis :You are so right. :-)

  • @69mercurymarquis Because back then, when they were startin' off, they got paid pennies, so it HAD to be about a love of the music. Nowadays, they get paid a fortune for one song and album, and the majority of "artists" suck corporate cock, in form or another and ride someone else's popularity instead of working on their own craftsmanship.

Not to mention, they're always eager to get their music into films, whereas Bands like ABBA are extremely protective of their music.

  • @69mercurymarquis Ooh fuck off, this is better then 99% of music today?! Get back to reality! This is shit! It was shit 35 years ago to!

  • @Morinul if you don't like this GTFO, keep listen to those new sh!t things

  • @anhtrantuan168 I'm just extremely annoyed by all those guys that think they are cool by saying that 40 year old music is soooo much better then the music we have today... because that's just nonsense, ofcourse we have shitty music today, but we also have tons and tons of good music. Everyday thousands of songs are released, thats a far bigger range then 40 years ago.

Just please all stop praising this 40 year old music to heaven , and widen you're music taste with today's music!

  • @Morinul i'm 17 and living in 2012, listen to ABBA, Beatles, The Smiths ...

everyone has their own taste of music, i can't stop my friends listen to those sh!t

so there is nothing you can do about it

  • @anhtrantuan168 there is hope for my music after all . I was afraid it was going to die real soon with all the shit that is being played on the radio today. Its shit to me but i know others have different tastes. It is a different time when i was your age. I am sure my parents hated it when i blasted Ted Nugents Cat Scratch Fever at volume 10 when i was 15. It is just a generation thing thats all. THANK YOU for keeping my music alive.

  • @Morinul I agree with your comment this is a different world by far. That being said, I believe you will not see the staying power that bands from 30-40 yrs ago have. I cannot see the Greendays of the world playing when they are pushing 70. Like the Stones and others are doing today. I believe that there is so much out there that they will be all one hit wonders. Just my lame opinion.

  • @Morinul

We just not think we are cool - se ARE cool!

And you can join us in 40 years :)

  • @Morinul this comment i dont agree with. What the fuck does 35 yrs have to do with the quality of a song? That is irrelevant in any argument. BFD if it was 35 yrs ago. That being said this was a campy pop song from 1975. It was a huge hit then and by the almost 4 million views I would say its quite popular still. As i recall 1975 (I was 14) was a great time to be living on this planet. Life was easy and fun unlike todays fucked up warped dangerous everybody hates you world today.

  • @69mercurymarquis More like 100%.

  • @docsrocks theres always that 1%

  • @69mercurymarquis true story

  • "And now, from the kingdom of neigh.....Art Bell....."

  • 18 years old and a radio intern, what a shame no one is bring music like this back... well atleast i have good old youtube to listen to it xD ... listen in to captial f.m haha only joking

  • @MrChar1zard fuck off then

  • why the blonde girl always has a tragedy face even if the music is happy and funny

  • @angellusdark Girl, this song is not happy. Why on Earth should she be all smiles while singing about tragic love? Don't you think it would be extremely stupid?

  • @wieslawl59 well i see you dont know how to read, well ill explain you, EVEN IF ONE OF THEIR SONG IS HAPPY she will always have the tragedy face now u get it ?

  • @angellusdark Well, if that's what you've meant(which is not obvious), then it was very idiotic to write it under a tragic song. You should have written it under a happy song where she shows her tragedy face(whatever song it might be, I do not recall any). Then it would have meaning.

  • @wieslawl59 Hey buddy! very wise words as always!! .. it's unbelievable that some people don't understand that Agnetha is one of the best singers of all time to convey the lyrics .. a sad song, she sings with such feeling that it's a huge warning of tears .. a happy song, she sings with a lovely natural joy .. a sexy song, she is so sexy that it's a high risk of heart attack before the song is over .. on top of this, she has the most beautiful voice I ever heard

  • @aluzzz000 Um, you do know that both female members of the band couldn't speak English and learned the lyrics phonetically ? It's why the words are so well enunciated.

  • @TheThunderduck Mentira! FALSO. Teoría sin fundamento. Lies, false!, Agnetha and Frida, speak perfect English. Particularly, Agnetha before age 20, fluent in English and German, obviously also Swedish.

  • @TheThunderduck I always wondered about that backstory. Is it because it was 1975? Because in the '90s when I visited Sweden, 100% of the population was fluent. In fact, they spoke more grammatically correct English than most kids back home.

  • @8584zender I grew up in the 70s and read several articles that pointed that out. Now Amazon has abook about the 10 greatest hidden stories of Rock and Roll and thta is one of them. If you goolge the book the Amazon link comes up.

  • @TheThunderduck taht´s bullshit..watch some interviews..the guys were better than them but they COULD speak english..

  • @wieslawl59 woah chill, no one has to share their sorrow back in 1975 to enjoy this song today

  • @wieslawl59

Yeah! Not all blondes are dumb!
