@PsychoPrisoner To add to what PsychoPrisoner said, queer is also used because gay is just one part of the community. All the other groups (lesbian, bisexual, trans, etc) can fit under queer. Some older queer people find the word insulting, but most people growing up these days are used to queer as a positive describing word.

@PsychoPrisoner many people have reclaimed the word "queer" to be an all-encompassing term for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and genderqueer. *I* personally use the word queer as another word for gay, but proud. :) Hope I helped!

@peacechild131 I've gone there since I was 7, even though I missed last year, and now I'm 14. I have lesbian parents and gotten bullied all my life for it. CTT is a place where I can feel comfortable talking about my parents. And guineapiglover123 is completely right. If I told you all my amazing experience, I would be here for days!! I would highly encourage for you to be a counselor. It will change your life!!
