Nothing wrong with stopping where the action is, I do it all the time in Mw2 and if the kids watch the kill-cam and are yelling camper they probably question why I have marathon and lightweight on. I have it on specifically to get to where the action is fast and stay there until it moves.

It depends on the way you get kills when camping. If you are holding a position, like a house on a map, staying in it and picking off rushers through different entries is okay. But, if you camp by going prone in the corner with guns like AA-12 extended mag and Last Stand, gamers will get mad at you.

this is game not war and there is a difference between tactic and just lie down and waiting for someone to show up from the corner. I make ac130 without sit in one place more then 5-6 seconds :D when u waiting for someone that you know will come there that is not campig, but when u lie down in the grass and waiting for some1, well that is camping. Situational awareness and adaptability are good skills to have...

@justin2griffin That was a poor analogy, as one practice is used in combat and the other practice is used to grind your way to higher levels faster. We are talking about the fairness of camping during combat. Camping is a fair tactic to use here because despite being effective, there are also many effective ways to counter it. Boosting gives no direct combat advantage so its impact on fairness is irrelevant in our case. It being unfair in another area however is up for debate.

If you really think about it from a realistic stand point. If you were at war or fighting for your life you wouldn't run around aimlessly as if you're bullet proof. You go for cover and fight from cover. If it works don't fix it. So the people who want to run around like their rambo get frustrated and give grief to campers for doing what is tactically efficient and smart to deter people from doing it so they can continue on with their triathlon. I get twice as many kills camping.

If you’re defending an objective, you have to stay in one area. If there’s a hotspot where kills are guaranteed, why would you go somewhere you know the enemy is not? Sometimes I run 'n' gun; sometimes I play intelligently and camp. Variety keeps the game interesting.
