Medival and CoH are actually real strategy games...

I dont know why you choosed the new version of sudden strike? i would say the first one was the best and not everyone could be good in it, sudden strike was a game you needed really skill to win.

never played men of war, but didnt hear so much about it too..

why you choosed dawn of war for 2 i cant udnerstand, there is less strategy needed, bild as much units as you can and try to fuck the enemy...

Medieval 2 Total war is ok but...

you have to mod the script to play as all factions (reqires you to change faction cities and create faction family members) then set end date to 5000AD and there ya go best game ever

@mrfrosty8172 Or you could just beat the factions with one empire then when you take them out you are able to use them. I thought you could only use the five factions at first but then when I took out Scottland I found out I could play as them.

Aztecs, Papal States, Rebels,.etc

for some you just move to playable section

others you have to create family members and designate capital (developers put that note in the script)

almost all factions are unlocked after completing 1 campaign game, but the rest you have to mod script

yeah picked up men of war and red tide ? at steam discount thing, it is not bad at all and it really is strategy and hard even at times due to the size of the battlefield can become very big and hard to keep track of all the positions and action that is ongoing. Overall surprised how good it actually was compare to say ruse.

Personally I much prefer SSII with the RWM and PWM mods over SS3. DL'd it, and uninstalled after about 2 hours. Been playing SSII since about 2005 though ;)

Men of War is by far the best game out there for strategy. The editor is amazing, and you can build almost anything or any scenario with it. (I made a map that dealed with mobsters taking on the local police). The graphics are Ok, but the gameplay is so great it doesn't matter. Right now there is a free beta on steam for the Assault Squad, and I recommend it strongly. The new skirmish mode will make you feel like a general, squadleader, tanker, and private fighting a real campaign. 5 stars

Empire is completely screwed. Steam slows down the computer drastically and the bugs are undeniably annoying

CoH multiplayer ruined. Men of war multiplayer has it's faults but is fun as hell! unlike in CoH you don't have British 25 pounder artillery shooting at your base from the other end of the map thanks to twothings in men of war. 1: No bases, no base micro management, thus easier gameplay. 2: Stricter fog of war. Units have a more realistic line of sight (They can only see what they are looking at.). Men of war campaign is a bit tough at points tho. still not done the russian campaign!
