I am a full time student just like you and I have been wondering how you make time to do everything you do? It is amazing! If you have any tips for me, I would love it! Maybe it is a problem with my time-management style?
My personal driving phobia is being in front of anyone driving and talking/texting on their cell phone. Especially as I'm going up/down this hilly road on my way to classes. The other day, the woman behind me (while I was driving downhill) was driving a huge truck - her cell in one hand and a cigarette in the other! I was so happy to get away from her!
I get so scared when I see a plane low to the ground or even just low enough that I can basically see it. Ever since I saw The Knowing, im scared of planes. Its the scene where the plane crashes down through the trafic. I was with my dad once and there was a plane and i literally started to cry and told him to pull over. Its getting serious where im kind of tromatized. :S
It doesn't matter if it's me or someone else that im in the car with thats driving, I cannot be near a huge truck like a semi, log truck(like you said), or any truck that has luggage on the back of it that is capable of falling off. So when my friends drive behind a truck i'm like please move in front of it or away from it lol.
Nothing worse than being stuck in a jam with no where to go. I know exactly what u mean about that lush smell. I hate those log trucks too. Even worse if it's really windy & u have to go round one cuz u kind of feel the 'pull' from the truck as u go past.
OMG after seeing Final Destination, i hate passing any big trucks like, Semi Trucks, or Log Trucks. i'm always thinking that something is going to happen, just like the moive. So i just drive by them really fast and try to stay infront of them the whole car ride.
i can't have water bottles on my floorboards because i'm terrified it will find its way to the drivers side and will get jammed under my brake pedal. lol
in the video you were talking about not talking on the phone while your driving, is that not illegal in America cause it's illegal over here in England. Haha , x
This isn't really a phobia, but I simply don't like driving cars with automatic transmission.
I'm not too scared of anything but I worry about drivers who are scared of driving and scared of making mistakes, because then I think they are more likely to do something drastic and maybecause accidents. Often I see drivers trying to get on the highway but they stop in the end of the ramp and wait for a long time so that there are no cars.
the other is when im driving at night, i get off of work at 11 some times 12 at night soo i take the back roads home just because its faster but its so scary because its all woods and a couple of houses on this one pacific street but everytime i drive down this street even though the speed limit is 35 i drive like 15 because dears or possums like to jumb out and cross the street. it scared me onetime i had to slam the breaks
Two things. i hate when im driving on the freeway and im boxed in between to semi-trucks and one in front of me, that happen to me 5x when driving to cleveland because i stay in the middle lane and its scary my heart beats so fast and i start losing my breath because the truck on the left or right side like to sometime go in my lane. soooo scary

I actually dont like driving on the freeway. It's something I'm trying to get over, because it limits me sometimes when I want to go to certain places. I'm just always afraid I'll miss my exit and end up in timbuktu, or exit and not be able to get back on, and I dont really like driving fast and on the freeway you kind of have to... I've been driving ten years now, and I'm comfortable in the most insane downtown San Francisco traffic, but I still don't like the freeway.

I'm scared of another thing that I saw on one of the final destination movies. I believe it was a truck that had a bunch of metal pipes in the back and then they stopped suddenly and one flew out and impaled the driver of the car behind them. So I'm scared of that... lol
i have a phobia of forgetting where i am and not being able to find my way home.. its sooo stupid cause i have a gps and i could very easily find my way. but i fear being alone and getting lost and noone finding me. eeeeekkkk

omgosh my friend was driving down the road this summer and she was behind a truck carrying metal studs and she just randomly decided to change lanes and as she did one of the metal studs flew off the back of the truck and would have hit her! so im scared of that too!
I cant be completly next to someone... like window to window at a light. (I grew up in a not so great place and people would just randomly pull a gun on you) So I am just scared someone is going to shoot me point blank through my window. (Odd I know)
I have been afriad of semi trucks ever since my mom was rear ended by one. she stoped to let a family of dear cross the road and a semi rear ended her. When ever there is a semi truck behind me if i can i pull over and let is pass. The police said that if her was 1 foot shorter she would have DIED!!! :(
here in Toronto, our main mall has a lush right when you go in. so basically it smells up the whole side of the mall AND you can even smell it when your outside!

I have tons of driving phobias. I got rear-ended, and before I even got my license (I had a permit and my dad in the car-it was legal!) a guy sped through a red light and hit the front of my dad's car, and if I hadn't reacted so quick, I'd be dead right now, no joke.
But I'm terribly afraid of birds, so I'm afraid if I'm stuck in traffic with my windows down, a bird will fly in my car, or it'll sit on my car. It sounds so dumb, but I'd cry! I also hate being in busses/trucks/any large...

My biggest Fobia is from an accident I was once in with my mom. Long story very short .. we almost went off a bridge ( the cop told me if we had ... I would have died on impact) So every since then ... I am scared to death of the side of the road that white line freaks me out and steep drops ( panic ) lol. Bad bad feeling agh!

I'm kind of freaked to drive on tall bridges. Because I have a fear of heights with a little claustrophobia and that seems to like be the combo of both those phobias for me. I'm high and I can't like get off the road or go anywhere if I need to so.. yeah I try to avoid them. Ones that are lower to the ground aren't so bad, but we have a really tall & long one around here that freaks me out so bad.

Hey Elle. My driving fears are snow and black ice because I have lost control of my car in those conditions before, not to the point of crashing into anything, but long enogh to scare the heck out of me.
I'm like that with all hauling-type trucks, esp. the ones transporting the cars on the metal frame, or trucks moving large machinery. But I was in an accident years ago where a highway lightboard thing came off the jack and hit us. Scary...so I'm a whimp when it comes to hauling trucks. :) Glad you had a safe drive :)
I'm afraid of large random objects being in the middle of the road. I was driving on the beltway in DC a few years ago and there was a ladder in the middle of the lane, like it had just fallen off of a truck. It was so scary because there was nowhere to swerve and a ladder isn't like a plastic bag or something you can just drive over! =)
im terrified of driving beside or behind a bus or a truck.. like once it was really bad traffic and i was surrounded by buses and trucks..to my left right behind me and in front of me!.. the ac was on full blast (manila heat!) but i was sweating bullets! i was like waiting to be crushed.. horrible..

one of my biggest phobias is actually driving. I've always had bad dreams, since I can remember, growing up about me getting in car accidents and in some I died along with some family and in others I just crashed or almost crashed. I'm 22 and have only tried to drive twice. The second and last time was when my husband was tring to teach me in a school parking lot when I accelerated instead of braking into a lighting pole after telling me to stop. Hence, why it was the last time I tried to drive.
whenever im driving and i see a car coming towards me on the street vertical/perpendicular/whatever ( from me my heart always "stops" for a second because when i was 16 my first car was totaled because i was pulling out at a 4way and this guy came and hit my car. on my side. it hurtt so bad. thought i was paralyzed for a sec cuz as soon as i got out the car my legs gave out. lmao. and my car like flew from the middle of the intersection al the way into a tree in someones yard. on my side.
oh wow. an hour? that sucks! one time it took me three hours to get to my cousin's house, and it's only meant to take an hour because of traffc. i had to pee so bad and i was starving!
how far do live from home? my college is like 4 1/2 hours away from my home, so i was just curious haha im leaving tomorrow, so excited for thanksgiving! anyway i second ur log truck fear, gotta love final destination haha jk
i HATE it when im in the car and we have to come to a stand still on a hill, (like you park) and when its finally time to drive, the whole car goes back some! i always hold my breath

i can't drive next to any big vehicle, whether it be a log truck or an 18-wheeler. a friend of the family was driving next to an 18-wheeler on the freeway and it turned over and killed her. so i have to pass them. i cannot drive next to them. it's so scary!
so yea.. i love water.. and i have water bottles like all over my car its horrible i actually need to clean it out.. but anywho, my phobia, thanks to Final Destination, is water bottles under the stop pedal and not being able to stop in traffic. :( its horrible i have to pull over slow down and like pick it up asap!!
Can NOT drive behind any truck carrying any kind of load of any kind.... had a guy loose a huge piece of plywood once and me being behind him, caused me to go off the road into a ditch after it landed on the hood of my car! Scary stuff!

i hate driving behind vehicles I can't see around...like vans, big 4wds, trucks, ambulance etc. And I also hate driving near semi trailers (trucks with 2,3, or 4 trailers attatched to the back in case they are called something different in the USA).
I can't believe it's still legal to drive and talk on a mobile phone in the US, it's illegal here to talk on a phone at all, even with headsets and everything i think.

Phobia: driving behind a tow truck or a truck that's transporting cars (especially if there are two levels of cars). I freak out since I don't want one on the upper level to come crashing down on me.

I am the same way about log trucks. Once my grandparents were behind one and a log flew off and almost hit them. It landed fairly straight and they drove over it but it scraped up their car pretty bad.
Well, I just got my permit in August so driving is still REALLY scary to me! I'd have to say my biggest phobia is switching lanes. Sounds simple, but to a shaking 15 year old, it's a big deal! lol!
I HAVE THE SAAAAAAAME FEAR! I will get off an exit and wait to get back on the highway if I can't get in front of them!! LOL!

I have tons of driving phobias. I got rear-ended, and before I even got my license (I had a permit and my dad in the car-it was legal!) a guy sped through a red light and hit the front of my dad's car, and if I hadn't reacted so quick, I'd be dead right now, no joke.
But I'm terribly afraid of birds, so I'm afraid if I'm stuck in traffic with my windows down, a bird will fly in my car, or it'll sit on my car. It sounds so dumb, but I'd cry! I also hate being in busses/trucks/any large...

My biggest Fobia is from an accident I was once in with my mom. Long story very short .. we almost went off a bridge ( the cop told me if we had ... I would have died on impact) So every since then ... I am scared to death of the side of the road that white line freaks me out and steep drops ( panic ) lol. Bad bad feeling agh!

I'm kind of freaked to drive on tall bridges. Because I have a fear of heights with a little claustrophobia and that seems to like be the combo of both those phobias for me. I'm high and I can't like get off the road or go anywhere if I need to so.. yeah I try to avoid them. Ones that are lower to the ground aren't so bad, but we have a really tall & long one around here that freaks me out so bad.

I cut mine into pieces.. you could get a nice decorative glass bowl and store them like that, and then select what you want to use in your bath :)

I'm like that with all hauling-type trucks, esp. the ones transporting the cars on the metal frame, or trucks moving large machinery. But I was in an accident years ago where a highway lightboard thing came off the jack and hit us. Scary...so I'm a whimp when it comes to hauling trucks. :) Glad you had a safe drive :)

I'm afraid of large random objects being in the middle of the road. I was driving on the beltway in DC a few years ago and there was a ladder in the middle of the lane, like it had just fallen off of a truck. It was so scary because there was nowhere to swerve and a ladder isn't like a plastic bag or something you can just drive over! =)

im terrified of driving beside or behind a bus or a truck.. like once it was really bad traffic and i was surrounded by buses and trucks..to my left right behind me and in front of me!.. the ac was on full blast (manila heat!) but i was sweating bullets! i was like waiting to be crushed.. horrible..

I'm the same with the log trucks/ any big truck carrying pipes or metal or such, but my biggest one by far is gas tankers...any time I see a semi hauling liquid I have to tell myself it's milk or oj until I get away from it cause I just know if it has those flammable signs on it it's gonna blow up by me.

one of my biggest phobias is actually driving. I've always had bad dreams, since I can remember, growing up about me getting in car accidents and in some I died along with some family and in others I just crashed or almost crashed. I'm 22 and have only tried to drive twice. The second and last time was when my husband was tring to teach me in a school parking lot when I accelerated instead of braking into a lighting pole after telling me to stop. Hence, why it was the last time I tried to drive.

whenever im driving and i see a car coming towards me on the street vertical/perpendicular/whatever ( from me my heart always "stops" for a second because when i was 16 my first car was totaled because i was pulling out at a 4way and this guy came and hit my car. on my side. it hurtt so bad. thought i was paralyzed for a sec cuz as soon as i got out the car my legs gave out. lmao. and my car like flew from the middle of the intersection al the way into a tree in someones yard. on my side.

aww traffic sucks! my phobia when driving is being on a bridge. i have this thing where if i'm on a bridge i'll have to get right off because i keep thinking there might be an earthquake and then the bridge will collapse and then i'll fall into the ocean in my car =(

i can't drive next to any big vehicle, whether it be a log truck or an 18-wheeler. a friend of the family was driving next to an 18-wheeler on the freeway and it turned over and killed her. so i have to pass them. i cannot drive next to them. it's so scary!

so yea.. i love water.. and i have water bottles like all over my car its horrible i actually need to clean it out.. but anywho, my phobia, thanks to Final Destination, is water bottles under the stop pedal and not being able to stop in traffic. :( its horrible i have to pull over slow down and like pick it up asap!!

Can NOT drive behind any truck carrying any kind of load of any kind.... had a guy loose a huge piece of plywood once and me being behind him, caused me to go off the road into a ditch after it landed on the hood of my car! Scary stuff!

I feel the same way about the log thing but I also don't like driving next to semi's (behind doesn't bother me). I also don't like driving behind people that have a bunch of loose junk that could fly out or stuff that is tyed down.

i hate driving behind vehicles I can't see around...like vans, big 4wds, trucks, ambulance etc. And I also hate driving near semi trailers (trucks with 2,3, or 4 trailers attatched to the back in case they are called something different in the USA).
I can't believe it's still legal to drive and talk on a mobile phone in the US, it's illegal here to talk on a phone at all, even with headsets and everything i think.

I am the same way about log trucks. Once my grandparents were behind one and a log flew off and almost hit them. It landed fairly straight and they drove over it but it scraped up their car pretty bad.
