I am glad that I got saved and stopped listening to rap before eminem started rapping about demonism and being possessed. I used to know all the lyrics to his first two albums and I used to say them over and over. When I got saved, music was the hardest thing for me to give up. I mean I stopped getting high and having sex within a couple of weeks of accepting Christ, but it took nearly three years to stop listening to rap, rocknroll and all that devilish music that had control of me.
@qwexas I became a Christian when I was 21. I was 24 b/4 I realized that the music I was listening to was not glorifying God. Actually most if not all of the musicians i listened to were/are totally against God and Christ. I listen to classical and instrumental music now.
When I used to listen to Eminem and heavy metal music I would get violent. I would want to brake stuff and fight. At other times I was very chilled out but the music made me react that way, that is why I say it controlled me.

When I used to listen to Eminem and heavy metal music I would get violent. I would want to brake stuff and fight. At other times I was very chilled out but the music made me react that way, that is why I say it controlled me.

The reality is there are some things that will require for us to wait for it to happen for us, even when we're in charge. One example is starting our own business. We can advertise our company as much as we want, but it still requires patience in waiting for customers. Plus when "controlling" one's own life, does the operation they choose yield a safe outcome?
