I play college hockey and rugby, you can't compare the two sports. Both are incredible, but rugby is 80 straight minutes of non-stop hitting without pads so the games are rougher then a hockey game. However, hockey is definitely a close second and nothing beats a good old fashioned hockey brawl

It's the fastest sport besides auto racing, it's the toughest sport out there, takes more finesse than any other sport (playing while skating takes much more balance and coordination than other sports), it takes more team-work than any other sport because you have 20+ players playing in a time span of 5 minutes.

It's pretty much the ultimate sport there is.
