  • waste of time

  • FUCK OFF

  • Nasa Shit

  • this is what British people do when they're bored

  • absolute bullshit

  • i went from 3d tvs .... to eye surgery... to this??

    lol

  • the whole experiment is to find out what we can push the limits of the universe and our known elements too. By doing this test of colliding atoms they find that they can make an energy that if able to control with our minds can basically make anything we think of. This is mainly because of the gray matter in our brains having some sort of relationship to the colliding atoms. They call the energy that the collided atoms make the "god element" because with it you can basically become god.

  • @pbjmaster117 Are you stoned? All of that is wrong.

  • FAIL TEST

  • I am a Physics Major at Missouri State University. I can't wait for the day that I will get to conduct my own research. Possibly with a Large Hadron Collider. there are a lot of things going on "after" the discoveries, that you guys (a.k.a. the general public will never know about or at least not for a long time)

  • @WhelanRoyalty pull the stick out of your ass.

  • @WhelanRoyalty sure skippy, you physic fucks actually keep thinking you know more than we do, you know bullshit that's all you know.

  • so they can do ALL this stuff... but they can't make decent models and animations?

  • "Madness"? "THIS IS SPARTICLES"!!!!

  • You guys don't know this is bassicly done being built

  • @bubbajay716 its already been tested, last year infact... this video is almost 4 years old

  • @bubbajay716 almost done being built? We've been using it for like two years.

  • cool nothing is too crazy

  • This is super symmetric particles.......

    NO! THIS IS SPARTICLES!

  • earthlings are idiots

  • Haha Higgs is BS

  • @Typho0n86 The LHC is build for more than just Higgs Bosons you know.

  • @madhat1979 Did my comment imply somehow that i did not know that?

  • Corrr thats clever innit.

  • Our morality is far too weak for the advancement of knowledge and technology that this thing is capable of producing. Take, for instance, our experience with the new knowledge that matter is energy. We decided to blow something up...

  • @983215ljhlkadbspig6y Yes, let's instead live as we did in the middle ages. That way many more people's lives will be saved.

    Seriously?

  • cool I am sweet charming

  • THESE ARE SPARTICLES!!

  • NIKOLA TESLA IS A GOD!

  • this world really doesnt know how to spend money

here is an idea try given it to the children that are dieing of hunger

you BULL SHIT when the time comes we all gonna die you wont be able to do anything PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!

  • @davidtj91 Not sure if your trolling. But fuck the starving. we'd be were we were in 1901 if we diverted science funding to fucking starving children.

  • @WonderfulDenmark are you saying that someone starving makes him stupid? if so you are the most ignorant human ever.

  • @davidtj91 you seem wrong... why are you attack science and not 'defence spending' or the olympics or really anything like that. science actually helps and is about the only worthy investment. the UK spend 43 billion on defence, wars etc. this costs us about as much as a city council sports stadium because so many countries are INVESTING(they get it back tenfold). it would be nice if they could get together and donate what is a small amount each but this budget isn't the biggest most unethical.

  • @jorgepeterbarton and that other figure is we spend 34million on this. we spend billions setting up the olympics go hate on that.

  • @jorgepeterbarton and that other figure is we spend 34million on this, which we will see again due to technology improvements. just because its indirect-companies invest billions in technology and its extremely inefficient compared. we spend billions setting up the olympics go hate on that.

  • and how was this paid for and what is it going to do for us.

  • @emackbcs3 Q1: France, UK, USA, Canada, Switzerland, India, Russia, Japan are the funder's, LHS. Q2: Scientists hope the project will help them understand how the universe was created and find "missing" particles which are thought to exist but have never been observed, including the Higgs boson, nicknamed the "God particle". It could answer the question of what causes mass, or even surprise its creators by revealing the existence of a fifth, sixth or seventh secret dimension of time and space.

  • a millionth of a billionth of a billionth of bullshit

  • And this helps me how?

  • @johnnnyreb51 Some thing's in this world can't be shown by pictures, well ones that are understood. Use google, That one page with a crap load of writing on it is what you want to learn about the LHC.

  • Earth quake. And then 4.5 whatever billion pounds gone.....

  • soo whats my cake really made with?? can i thrrow itin

  • at first i thought penis submarines yesssssssss when i watched it im like what did he say

  • i raped the LHC

  • i am surprised i didnt find the big bang theory in related vids

  • The biggest experiment on the planet can be found in the Congress.

  • Building a machine that exceeds our power of prediction? Gee, I thought that was the US economy and the European Union. Both are unpredictable. Ergo the financial crisis. It seems the European government willingly borrowed billions from the bankers. Here are home, it was a few million idiots who thought 'real estate never decreases in value.'

I can hardly wait for the next discoveries!

  • lmaooo what does these prove ???? that those guys are smart lol

  • @andres33147 Only a dumb or a person without knowledge would ask that

  • Sparticles

  • Actually, the "biggest experiment on the planet" is humans fucking it up all the time.

  • @cochranexyz You are so very right!!!!!!!

  • the origins of stuff!

  • hm Be kind and nice with me and I will be with you

  • time machine

  • oh god i just got a big boner!!

  • you know they just found out you can travel faster than light.......... they did it with 2 particles

  • Can this device ever feed a family of four?

  • @jethromayham lol, this machine has bigger goals than that.

  • "Exceeds our powers of prediction" Doesn't that worry you???

  • I want to watch the rest now :P

  • And the Higgs field is simply put just TIME and he is wrong sorry fella

  • Love it , let just smash stuff Itogethere and see what happens lol, I guess that how we reverse engineer the atom

  • Sounds like lewis from the yogscast.

  • @xXDJxRustyXx You obviously haven't been in London.

  • @xXDJxRustyXx Every one of my male teachers sound close to Lewis, so.. it's like saying every American computer tutorial maker sound exactly the same.

  • Just think, a thousand years ago we were pooping outside and now look at we can do!

  • lol sparticles.

  • The universe consists of Particles, Sparticles and Testicels

  • @MouthofSaurons Why didnot you say that before we built the Machine ? Would you consider working on the Hadron Collider Project with us ?

  • @zakaslam1

what the hell? how come your offering jobs to those guys? Can i want a job too.

  • @zakaslam1

what the hell? how come your offering a job to that guy? I want a job too! i could paint it

  • @MouthofSaurons lol and Smarticles ><

  • SPAZTICLES!

  • this shit fails! either they are hiding something or they found nothing!

  • @903harman actually you are completely and utterly wrong :) there is so much research being done at the LHC that you couldn't read the results of one days work in 1000 lives. I think you might find reality a lot more satisfying than believing it was a waste of money

  • @rietveen26 where is this proof? i want to read some scientific study's. where is it?

  • @903harman ever heard of google? or youtube even? there's plenty about the LHC on the internet. oh and maybe you've heard of this small site called wikipedia, it has a few pages with some info as well.

  • @rietveen26 -_- wiki?...

i did search about it i found nothing of interest.

  • @rietveen26 Well then that would mean no one person working on the LHC now or for the remainder of its existence will ever be able to read the results of any of its research... ever.

  • @903harman They havent really begun to look & why would they hide anything - the whole thing has been transparent from day 1.

  • you want future of Star Travel , Flying cars then this experiment is essential. We must learn more and more about universe then only we can try to control it :D .. its like humans learn how to walk first then they start running..

Its all about protons ;) and may be much small sub atomic particles. this experiment will uncover one layer from universal facts :D

people who says that it will create black holes they are stupid :D .. blackholes only create when explosion occurs with huge masses.

  • why do they spend biggest money on smallest things?

  • @crashpilot2 the scientists

  • the origins of STUFF

  • wrong!! this is not the biggest experiment. the biggest experiment is when i will eat beans and lentils to see with wich one i will fart more

  • Oh, that is where all that gold from Swiss banks disappeared? Right down into the tunnels of the LHC, 100 meters below ground level. Where it will go?! Who knows.

    LOL :-)

  • how do they know all that stuff?

  • i don't believe this shit

  • Imagine that breaking... well back to 60 years of work agian :l

  • nth can be compared to the big bang....if there was ever one...no one knows and no one will never know...theories over theories...kosmos is unexplored and for sure a tiny human being cannot explore it...

  • wow... the whole thing definately has to be one big dick joke.

  • that is the most estupitist expirement in history

  • I love how they are so sure that the big bang really happened and when it happened. Such arrogance.

  • @XenoBloke I love how the bible is so sure God exists and he created the world. Such arrogance.

  • @DolphinWantsPeace That too! Thanks for adding. :)

  • The key to anti gravity propulsion is by using one uranium marble A thick lead box

put the uranium marble inside the thick lead box.Get an aluminum box put the thick

lead box inside the Aluminum box weld an aluminum plate to seal the box.Likewise with

the lead box after you have put the uranium marble inside(of the lead box)

now what you have is a piece of uranium, lead, and aluminum all touching each other

You run an electrical current through the aluminum.bark92@yahoo.com

  • ohhhh hey their making a ring off of halo at 0:18

  • Are they ever ganna finish building the LHC, I cant wait.. I just know that when they finally fire it up we are ganna be flooded with all sorts of new discovories. I can truely say that finaly we spent some money on somehting usefull

  • @jomill78 The LHC has been built and last year finished it's first round of experiments in which the results have been coming in steadily.

  • i knew i would live to see the day!

  • 35 people had their religious self-delusion threatened by this great experiment.

  • @SuperVerdone What would you rather spend it on? War?

america spends trillions of dollars per day in pointless wars

    it runs on a warmachine

  • I see it's Stargate all over again......fuking morons

  • I bet they will find another universe under that particle.

  • Only one thing can destroy us and he lives in the White House.

  • @madisonelectronic

how is this true? what if he's not the one running the U.S?

  • @johnlo559 If he was a puppet he would not be pissing 80% of us off. One thing that cannot be bought yet is the 2012 election.

  • @madisonelectronic that can be bought, too, you kno, the tea party controls the U.S. government because of the filibuster.

  • @madisonelectronic so obama can destroy you...

  • @madisonelectronic The fact that this comment is the top comment on a video with 400,000+ views makes me happy and reassured that he will not be re-elected and maybe our country wont go down the crapper after all :)

  • @Deeredman4 haha the funny thing noone seems to notice is that this is what people say after almost every single president in every country. people are running loops and they enjoy it. every few years the same old story only in a different colour.

as we keep loaning money from banks, keep paying insurances, financing wars, hunger and exploitation, we blame a single person for everything. haha hows that not funny?

every single one of us is responsible, not the 1(!) who is in the spotlight.

  • @liquidbokii88 idk I'm pretty sure it was obama that passed a 300 page legislation that supposedly there "wasn't enough time too read" and forced congress too sign it threatening them with martial law but then waits till he gets back from his government funded vacation too pass the bill himself. have you read some of the legislation in that bill? he basically took everything we hated about bush and shot it up with steroids :| I think that deserves just a little bitch from the American public :\

  • @madisonelectronic the biggest enemy one can have is he himself.

remember, whenever you point at someone with your finger, there are allways 4 fingers pointing back at you.

  • @liquidbokii88 Three fingers

  • @madisonelectronic underfloor heating.

    ...

i dont know dude, what do you mean?

  • @liquidbokii88 When you point one finger there are only three pointing back at you.

  • @madisonelectronic and he is a son of a bi#$#

  • @madisonelectronic If you really think Obama is at the heart of our problems then you are a fool. You need to seriously consider removing yourself from their little game your obviously trapped in. Our elections are nothing but expensive profilactics, that give us the illusion that we are putting people into office that have the peoples best interests. Until you wake up to this fact, your an ignorant fool, subserviant to the bullshit machine that has enslaved our govt.

  • @xinecallaw I guess you have a solution too?

  • ¡que idiotas

  • @solve809 LHC can't kill us all hypothetically by creating a blackhole. It simply has not enough power create a blackhole that would not evaporate instantly.

If we hypothetically lived in a world where is no Hawking radiation (aka virtual particles) we'd be all already dead... actually, we would have never even existed... neither would have the LHC.

Read the article "Safety of particle collisions at the Large Hadron Collider" from Wikipedia, please.

  • 2:15 he says weve built a machine that is outside are powers of prediction....thats a scary statement.....just the like the pricks who detonated the first nuclear weapon...they had no idea if the chain reaction they created would stop....they did it anyway.....for the sake of peace.....sick sick sick minds at work

  • all you need is a lifter and you got yourself a time machine =D

    thumbs for steins;gate references?

  • What a waste of money. Scientist must be really bored.

  • @solve809 If they offered me personally every penny theyve spent on it, I would say keep it and do the experiment. Its the single most important scientific endeavour of our generation. Our parents and grandparents changed the world so much in their lifetimes, everything is better. Everything. I do not want to live in the generation that sat on its backside and had an ice cream.

  • @Pegasys22 you would waste millions on a machine doing nothing except banging matter together in a circle in a valley somewhere? with that money i would donate millions to charity and keep the rest. some of that money could have saved a life. not hypothetically destroy the planet.

  • @solve809 This collider couldn't even hypothetically destoy the planet.

  • @Helge129 how do you know, if its hypothetical? and proven by scientist to do so, to possibly do so.

  • @solve809 lol @ destroy the planet - come on. Let me guess, strangelets? Man, I guess we still have religion in 2011, people will believe just about anything.

  • That shit fails! they never really prooved anything, and they didnt release any data they found out. its like they are keeping quite because its a waste of time and money!

  • Surely, if they created the conditions of the big bang ........ ?????????

  • 2:16 gordon freeman of right

  • the origins of stuff? srsly? STUFF! c'mon.... matter, you idiot

  • @Martcapt he said stuff to include other stuff besides matter, you idiot :P

  • @how1337itis xD lol what is there besides matter?! energy and perhaps antimatter, (and matter in only a form of energy still), not to serious about this i'm actually laughing a bit xD "The Origins of Stuff" sounds like a good title for a book :P

  • @Martcapt you said it, energy. Are the strings of string theory considered energy or do they view those in their own category?

Stepehn Hawking's next book should be called "A Brief History of Stuff"

  • they're trying to create dark matter, for a tangible space ship fuel

  • This is so fascinating to me as a biologist however as a layman human being it's quite terrifying to think that somewhere all over in the world people are doing this and contemplating all the catastrophic events unraveling this knowledge can bring. As a believer in Christ it makes me feel that God is surely coming back soon.

  • @Ellie8706

There is an old saying .... Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

In the case of what they are doing now that could read .....

'Be careful what you look for, you might find it.'

I worry they might find something they might not be able to stop.

  • Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) or super collider. This may be the biggest, but there are quite a few scattered around the planet. Many things are being discovered by smashing atoms together. Could lead to great advances in medicine, micro tech., weapons of war, space exploration, etc.

  • How the heck did I end up here! I began with giant squid and ended up here!

  • @tkdguruforme The large hadron collider is all about squid theory you probably just followed the link

  • @flight1100 possibly, but there was a gap in the middle where there were live sushi videos

  • SPARTICLES!

  • What if you put someone inside that nigga!

  • ok ask urself this. Is this necessary? do we NEED this? were starting to defy nature for the sake of just making science, I don't think we need to advance THIS much

  • @MarcadamiaNut Yeah, Science is only for more science. Just like history teachers become teachers to make more history teachers, it never leads to any other avenues. Except that Science leads to EVERYTHING, imagine discovering a particle or experiment that creates massive energy with minimal fuel? What about teleportation using the string theory? Besides, what else are we going to spend it on, war? I think it's pretty neat just to know how the world works, even if it has no practical use.

  • @Mekose Do u think we're SUPPOSED to figure out how to teleport? Think of the dangers... think of how we were caevemen and lived simple lives we didnt need any of the technology we have, all that will do is make us lazier. What they NEED to research is cures for diseases and dissabilities not teleporting or messing with particles

  • @MarcadamiaNut Well, we're going to do whatever despite what we say. I say we find out as much as possible before we kill ourselves at least. No reward without danger! Dive headlong into the threshold of science as it rips us apart! *Que mad scientist laugh*

  • @MarcadamiaNut How do you know that messing with particles won't lead to the most effective medicine.

It may open tech that can cure any cancer and provide treatments for other things.

  • @flight1100 if we cure cancer, something else that's deadly that we have no cure for will rise up and control the population

  • @MarcadamiaNut But you said 'What they NEED to research is cures for diseases and dissabilities" this kind of technology will enable new research in many fields.

  • @mirobaldo agreed.. kinda sad. But just to point out ... 2.5 B2 Spirit Bomber (2billion research and production cost per unit) Nimitz class 100,000tonnes Aircraft carrier .... (B1 is Lance bomber I guess?)

  • cool story bro
