  • ...F.U. ..PRO TOOLS.!

  • i would very much like to meet the 32 ppl who disliked this...it freaks me out how someone could dislike this

  • This guy has nothing on me! I will make all yall jizz your pants with my playing!

  • @MrBigredfowler haha, yes make us run away!

  • @MrBigredfowler your a sad little man arnt you !

  • Montoya was a consummate musician. He could get more out of a guitar with one hand, than most people can with two. Simply amazing.

  • This video shows a very important lesson: that the strumming/picking hand is just as important as the fretting hand. When I first began playing guitar, it was all focus on fretting, but as time went on the strumming and picking became my focus. Great video!

  • Okay people, don't fight. I have a solution. To the individual who needs to tear this performer down: please post yourself performing this exact piece so that we may judge between the two of you. We promise to be fair. : )

  • 2:47 like one for metallica

  • He must have made his wife extremely happy with those fingers of his. I mean, goddayum O_O

  • I'm now on a quest to find the sheet music for this! XD

  • Mother Nature! That cat is fast.

  • Yep he sure is cause he strums and picks with his right while fretting and picking with his left and you play what, your flute, you inmature moron? It is very sad that a person who could not empty has ashtray claims such knowledge of the craft.

  • This guy is an impostor and the Flamenco world has zero respect towards his playing, he can't keep a single style and rhythm!

  • @Testacojones Could you do me a favor?... Stand up... there ya go... now take both hands... reach around and see if you can find your ass with either of them.

  • Comment removed

  • @Testacojones Dude... it's way harder to change rhythms half way through, then change back, then change again, then change back again, etc. than it is to just keep the one rhythm. If he can change rhythms with such fluidity then clearly he is fully capable of sticking to one if he wanted to. It's called pushing the boundaries, and it's why he is widely regarded as the father of modern flamenco.

  • @MrThedalaillamaknows In Spain no one mentions his name, if you do everyone will laugh if they even know who you're talking about, he is just another name in the americas that suck, just like Manitas de Plata. There are some Montoyas that are famous over there but those aren't him. I've met and lived in the flamenco world for some years, partied hard with the gypsies. I made friends with some very famous players. Anyway I'm out of here, you just don't know Flamenco, you're not it.

  • @Testacojones Our host on this page decided to remove our posts, but you showed your true colors in your last one to me...it's because Montoya was so popular in the USA. Or was it really because he was Romani? Either way you're an ass and a racist.

  • @lawnsausages Are you out of touch with reality, how can I like Flamenco, be friends with gypsies and be racist? And I can say "gitanos" because I don't say it in a derogatory manner. Sorry if you can't understand the European ways, I'm part Spaniard and part Basque and for that I'm not all about Spain, but thats another subject. Racist, far from it, even when the Basques are is the oldest European people in history. I'm leaving this part of youtube. Good luck in your journey.

  • @Testacojones Classic racism..."Some of my best friends are..." You go ahead and run along now, but we both know the truth.

  • @Testacojones What you fail to realise, is that flamenco will die unless people, like Carlos Montoya, take it in new directions. Seen any massively popular lute players lately? No. Why? Because despite the fact that they were "all the rage" a few hundred years ago, it is an instrument which no one took into the future. Guitar, and it's repertoire, have moved on past it's "traditional" setting. The same has to happen with flamenco, or it will end up like our friend the lute, dead.

  • @MrThedalaillamaknows Yeah...many of the once great flamenco players now follow the Jazz dictate.

  • @Testacojones The obvious exception to the below being those few eccentric fuckers who recreate music from the renaissance, but again, i don't think most of them get lute playing past a hobby.

  • @Testacojones Do you claim to speak for the "flamenco world"? Carlos Montoya was a highly skilled musician, one of the best guitarists that ever lived. If he changed style or rhythm, you can count on it that he chose to do so. On his worst days he played better than most guitarists ever will.

  • Spine-tingling stuff! Bravo!

  • if i ever say that i feel like playing guitar again someone please shoot me

  • Must.. Have... Tab.. :Q___

  • holy shit

  • he's good

  • this song is like porn...you can jizz off by it

  • is it just me or is it that his nails are shiny O.O

  • @gomonkeyfly | flamenco guitarists varnish their nails to harden them.

  • Someone help me pick my jaw back up!!

  • It is not rare anymore,

so much likers here - im gonna d-load it now ;)

  • even the guitar had an orgasm

  • I hope i can get my spanish guitar to do that.

  • He goes through a set of strings every four songs.

  • i hope his right hand is mine~

  • 6000 rpm and you can clearly hear every note, one of the best flamenco players ever!

    Salud!

  • that guitar just got played

  • what kind of string is that?? nylon?? but looks different for me...

  • @ryanmuhtadi its nylon maybe you find diferentebecause the strings is near the scale, this makes a great attack!!!!

  • In my mind I'm picturing a wolf spider on meth.

  • Doesn't even break a sweat. He plays like we all breathe.

  • The greatest E.V.E.R,,,you can hardly see his fingers.god bless you Montoya

  • Great!

  • SE ME HABÍA OLVIDADO ESTE OTRO MAESTRAZO DE LA GUITARRA, POR CIERTO RESULTA SER MÁS RASGUEADOR, Y ESO NO QUIERE DECIR QUE LE QUITE MÉRITO A ÉSTE GRAN GUITARRISTA, ¡GRANDE CARLOS MONTOYA!

  • His hand had a super controlled seizure!! :D Amazing

  • easy enough...his technique needs improvement of course but it is good enough...well i think that..HOW THE HELL CAN HE DO THIS??????????????????

  • this guy can fucking shred

  • Let's see him play Spanish Fly.

  • carlos montoya is amazing id like to see eddie van halen do tht!

  • Impressive! Now that is guitar playing

  • I wonder how he played when he was at the top of his playing because here he looks pretty old are there any videos where he is about 40?

  • @Schufti17 Music is not like sports. Just b/c someone is old doesn't mean they are any less talented. Infact, as we get older the myelin sheath on our nerves continues to grow improving our reaction time, so in theory he could be way better.

  • @artman182 thats not what i liked to say i mean how old is he there in his 80is? i think its a gift that he still could play so well but i´m sure he was better when he was 40 or if you want 60

  • With a little more practice, he'll be playing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" in no time at all.

  • A Carlos Montoya video has 3/4 of a million views. There's hope for the world yet!

  • this was shredding back in the day

  • he should be arrested for raping that poor guitar

  • Not so RARE if it has 745,050 views!!!!!!!!!

  • The last 55 seconds just blew my mind.

  • G R E A T !!!!!!!!!!!

  • ควย เก่งไปไหน

  • He is so good it seems like he's being a complete mess !

  • 29 estan muii tronckos!!

  • he does beat the hell out that guitar but he is good

  • .......Honestly I can see a highly intelligent person enjoying this and Beavis and Butthead saying: "YES YES!!! ROCK ROCK!!!!" This kicks ass!

  • he rewrote the possibilities of what a person can do on the guitar.

  • Imagine when he fingers a girl how powerfulxD!!!

  • Can some1 find my freakin jaw for me?

  • I do believe he can give any guitarist a run for his money- Hendrix included!

  • Esta es una Farruca de mis favoritas de Carlos Montoya junto con sambra si alguien tiene el video de sambra en vivo subanla por favor!!!!!!!!!! lo he estado buscando por mucho tiempo. Sambra!!!!!!!!!

  • Olé.....♫♪♫ Who says a guitar isn't a percussion instrument?

  • @Za7a7aZ its creator

  • i hope that guitar isn't a minor cause he fucked the shit out of it!

  • @richvaca

Carlos Montoya is a damn master of guitar. Not bad for having your Uncle Ramon refuse to teach you (even though he was renowned as a flamenco guitarist himself) so you have to learn from Pepe the Barber. He was not well loved by the flamenco community (or uncle Ramon) because of his non-traditional style and changing tempos. Lesson: carve your own path. No one talks about Ramon they talk about Carlos.

Gives you hope that even at his age you can still get it up, eh?

  • @richvaca But it was definitely in a minor key

  • @richvaca He definitely fucked Am in there somewhere.

  • @jonahtakalua1 LLOOOOOLLLL!!!!

  • @jonahtakalua1 i think the chord is Am E7(with the 4 string in 0) have parts that use Dm

    its just my opinion

  • @richvaca hhahaha yea he did :D

  • the look on his face says....."this is just my warm up" o_o

  • He's got the heart.... Feel the sound guys... Try to close your eyes

  • @Clinks0521 No way! Watch those fingers, that's magic right there.

  • He's Possesed

  • flamenco is almost like the grandfather of metal

  • ...also the wolds fastest mastrubator

  • classical's thrash death metal

  • That is awesome. Carlos Montoya has few equals...regardless of style or genre. He shall (deservedy) go down as one of the greatest guitarists of all time IMHO

  • I've learned virtuoso rock guitar, metal etc. and acoustic styles; I would learn flamenco, I really want to, but I don't have any fricking nails -_- And no way am I sticking on acrylic nails, that is where I draw the line.

  • @morphicwraith Me niether. A thumb pick will have to suffice.

  • @morphicwraith you don`t do it yourself which is nearly impossible anyway to do correctly. you need 2 free hands. 15 bucks and 1/2 hour later after your visit to the local nail salon you`ll be good to go for 1- 2 months. that`s what most of the players do. it`s weird at 1st. but it is so worth it.

  • amazing!

  • yeah, this video so rare that he has 563,707 views

  • i guess he is the god of guitar !! no more words, enough said

  • is he only using 5 strings?!
