Anyways, just trying to raise awareness there's a SNES game that uses the same Absolute ABAHB engine - "Casper"  - in that one you control the "blob." Challenging as heck, but it's fun!

No you use the blob bowling ball to get rid of the cherries. you roll the ball as hard as you can in the screen just before the cherries and if he rolls far enough the cherries will be gone when you go to catch up with the blob.

are you talking about using the rocket? that's not a secret area, numbnuts. you went to blobolonia. It's the second half of the game. You collect treasures and buy vitamins first. then you go there and kick some ass.

also i think you need to use the umbrella for the cherries but i could just be making shit up since i haven't played/beaten the game since the mid 80s.

When you buy vitamins, you also get a few new flavored jellybeans, one of them Orange. Using an Orange Jellybean on the Blob changes him into a Vitablaster and you shoot the Cherry Bombs down.

When I first played this game I had no idea where to go. The creepy part in my opinion was Blobonia and going underground to collect treasure. Why does it creep you out? Probably for the same reasons as everybody else. XD

LOL - I think that's Blobonia that you go to, the blob's hometown. Once you do half the game under the streets of the city you get a bag of new flavours, one of which is the gun; you use the treasure you collected to buy vitamins (ammo) and away you go to the second half of the game (well I think it's a third rather than a half, but hey)

If you run for too long at a time, you won't be able to stop without sliding, so try to not take too many steps at a time, should be a little easier...

you use the cocconut, get a running start, then throw the blob into the next screens. you'll see him keep rolling past all the enemys until he comes to the safe point. If you dont run&bowl him, it dosn't work. after he gose past them, they dissiper. this also works for the popcorn. however, to win the game you must go down into the subway and into hell to get the jellybean bag and get the "lime".

Another way besides using a coconut to get rid of the cherries is to find treasure, find a bag to give you more jellybeans, go back to the surface, go to the health foods place over on the right side of the screen, toss an orange jellybean at Blobert to make him become a VitasShooter, Pick him up, and shoot all of the cherries. You can also use the VitaShooter to defeat the marshmallows and popcorn. Plus, that's not a secret area, that's where you have to go in order to complete the game.

to get past the cherries on blobolonia you need to give the blob a coconut bean to turn him into a bowling ball and roll him with a running start on one of the first screens on blobolonia and watch the blob roll past the cherries dont follow until you have seen and heard the cherries blow up. let me know how you made out.
