i rember in 96 going onto the internet for the first time and wtching a video about pokemon which back then was the shit it took 10 mins to load it and it was a 5min log vid and i thought omfg wouldnt it be awsome if in 20 years it would be instant and i could maybe watch it on my tv lol.
now i can watch it on my fucking i phone while in the middle of no wear.
never thought the internet would evolve the way it did.
@with33 Actually, the show came later due to the game popularity. But I was wrong, the games first came out in 1998, and the pilot episode " Pokemon, I choose you!" was aired on the same year in Japan, a year later in the United States with modifications. I read well the comments before anything, and doubting it may seems offensive.
@sidethan no the show came out after the cards then the game came i out i rember this well the cards hit america then a year later the show did and i watched my first pokemon movie it was japanese and had english subs and it was in 93.
i rember this because i was still in grammar school and could not have been past 4th grade.
@thenerdal How if the 360 has been out selling the PS3 for a really long time, it's currently having record sales, and has been the number one selling console the last 11 of 12 months in the US. There's just not time left.
"people aren't gonna be surfing the web to read a lot" back then that's what it was mainly for what the fuck I'm mean yeah you could see picture and play some games
@Kg277@Kg277 The GeoPort was a serial data system used on some Mac models, and it allowed the computer's internal sound hardware to emulate devices such as modems and fax machines. These ports are mostly found on pre-USB era Power Macs, and were rendered obsolete by the USB standard.
648,000 Japanese Yen = 6,500 US Dollars, not 650! (Unless there was some freaking crazy s**t devaluation going on in Japan in 1995 that I didn't know of! LOL
@jammydodger963 I agree that apples 650 dollar price point was a joke, but that did not make Sony's original 600 anymore better. Im still laughing at them cause they lost me as a customer this generation.
Once upon a time steve jobs had a joint, and screamed:" Lets make a computer that hasnt got a GUI, a keyboard, a mouse, and is only able to run games, and call it PIPPIN!!!". next morning he woke up with in one hand a really ugly controller, and in the other hand a contract with BANDAI.
i believe if Apple enters the video games market with a new console with strong capabilities & reasonable price , they can make a major success and also be a major competitor along with other competitors in video games market.
@Alwaffie Apple clearly was never good at home console gaming - OS X is still really shaky on it. Most of the real games are just publicity stunts by Valve redesigning their source engine to be compatible with Macs. iPhone/iPad really is Apple's strong suit and it's clearly the most popular mobile gaming "console" nowadays - Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony are really good enough. Once you get more consoles, you get bigger fragmentation, a la 2600/5200/7800/Intellivision/Colecovision/SMS/NES...
So much crap was released in 90's if anyone recalls.. Most all Rip off, all these promises and hype, no consumers could afford them. i too use to watch this show in australia.
I fucking love Computer Chronicles. Most people don't seem to know about this show. It was on TV for YEARS. I found out about it from seeing it a few times as a kid but never able to locate it again. Then I found it on archive.org 4 years ago and watched every possible episode that they had on there for then. They had.. episodes when the first hard drives were coming out.. computer games of the 80s.. 90s.. etc.. it was awesome.
when he said the price i thought he was gonna say dollars.
