does anybody know if its possible to get this game without windows 95 because I have the discs still but got rid of my old comp and I miss this game. plz reply
ya you just need to right click on setup.exe, go into properties, compatibility and check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility with Windows 95"
Yes open the disc and set the install executables to run in win95 compatibility mode. (properties -> compatibility or something) after installing you'll need a patched thipx32.dll, google it. also, run ra95.exe in compatibility mode.

For people who don't know. You can play this game on Vista or XP. With the sound and everything. There is just certain things that you have to do.
You can download the game free from commandandconquer website. Go over to that website and it will give you links on the installation process.
Tiberian Sun and the expansion pack is also free to download now too.

I'm pretty sure you can still play it all the way up to XP, try right clicking the shortcut, click properties then change to run in 95 mode.
I feel your pain kidda, Red Alert was a sick game! Hope I've helped.
