I understand that bands need to evolve, such as Radiohead's constant evolution from album to album, but there is a huge dfference between a band evolving, and a band losing its spirit. It's clear they changed their sound to appeal to the larger, mainstream US audience, NOT to experiment with musical stylings.

My GOD! The Kings of Leon arguments are so boring, they are the same band who changed their sound to fit.
People act now they have brought out Sex on Fire & Use Somebody, it makes their old stuff obsolete & we will never hear it again. How about, next time you hear a fan of the new stuff, listen to the old stuff? Why must people argue about it for the billionth time, seriously it's boring now.

I agree. Youth and youngmanhood is awesome so is aha shake. There is some amazing songs on because of the times like knocked up and fans but there last one... its just them conforming to what the market of teeny boppers wants!!

I hear a lot of people say they sold out and are pissed because their sound is a little different than their first albums.... But "Manhattan" could have just as easily been on "aha shake heartbreak". People evolve just like you don't look for the same qualities in a person as you would have 10 yrs ago. Especially if you are in your 20s or 30s like these guys are. Same goes for music. They should be around for a long time. I agree, "there will be plenty more sounds"!

If you're talking about Holy Roller Novocaine that's just their first EP that isn't in production anymore. This version of Wasted Time was on Youth and Young Manhood first, there was another version on Holy Roller Novocaine that's different. This version was also released as a single which also has Joe's Head live, Molly's Hangover and Wicker Chair.
