My favorite part of what I have so far seen from this guy is that he always seems to be hovering on the brink of destruction and/or madness. Especially with some of the rhythmic experimentation we see in this video.
what I love is he's being himself... Not afraid to throw out his own take on the drums... Not some style robot like most of the drummers out there nice job!
His chops are very African. He's got the ability to play 3/4 and 6/4 on a 4/4 driven high hat. I like that a lot. This guy worked his arse off to get where he is. Another thing I like about this is that it is groove driven rather than technique driven. He shows hi tech off, but he does it in a relevant way and repeats it that much fo it to sink in. Ah tasteful or what!!!
well i go to The Las Vegas Academy and we play 4 concerts a year in the jazz program. We always fly out an artist to jam with us and last year he came.
