I study in the ESPOL in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Our logo has a galapagos tortoise that is the animal that represents us. Maybe if you are interested to meet this kind of animals is not necessary to go to la galapagos islands. We have three of them in our campus. George is the last of the pure speciment. There are still thousands of other tortoises roaming around on the other islands of the Galapagos and these females I believe, are the closest genetically to Lonesome George. They are still a different sub-species of the tortoise and are from a different island in the Galapagos.
