this is interesting, and very encouraging/inspiring, but one thing Dr.Hagelin does not seem to take into account is that nothing is certain in physics. he is very faithful in his theory, and speaks of it as an absolute, a definate, but superstring theory has not been proven and has many problems, many of which rely on the discovery of the higgs boson. I would very much like for this to be true, but his preaching still leaves me sceptical.
Do not completely disregard something because you do not understand the science behind it. It is only natural for science to try to explain consciousness. If you want some hard to get science, look up "double slit experiment"

I used to be an atheist. I didn't believe in any of this stuff either. If I couldn't see, taste, touch, hear, smell, or feel it, it didn't exist. Then I started wondering: How in the world they get all those little, tiny people inside of a radio? Then it dawned on me, those people are somewhere else and the sound I was hearing was coming through the air on INVISIBLE (air) waves. What a concept! It's not religion. It's spirituality. There's a difference. Spirituality is just a sense of self and a sense something more than physical laws. Eg your self awareness. Religion as far as I know doesn't explain self awareness for example. Spirituality addresses more fundamental questions like, "what am I". Spirituality does not need God. Religion needs God/s. Religion is basically about (as Miceal Ledwith put it) "that man up on the cloud who registers good and bad deeds on his laptop".
@Atheist603 because they're the same thing, and people need to realize that. consciousness is an inherent property of the universe (not just in our brains) and therefore god is an inherent property of the universe. so god can exist within the laws of science...the problem is when we separate philosophy/spirit from science, even though they're the same thing.

Seeking God is seeking your true self which is one with it. Hence "God is everything." And the more you "seek" it you find that you don't "seek" it to find it, you finally give up and realize you had it all along. But because of the "seeking" you understand it on an intellectual level. In other words, you go into the "illusion" to know you true self. How else could you?
You see, many people go deeper and deeper into the "illusion" created by the mind/thought. And some people are so deep in the illusion that they need to follow certain "rules" or "guidelines" to undo their "Ego(false mind made sense of self.)" And once they follow this "wisdom(rules)" for along enough time they began to "feel" a greater sense of who they are. Greater conciousness you could say, that is when they can drop what they were following and just "be."

In other words, Jesus was somebody who "represents God" or somebody who was constantly living in a way where he was experiencing the "unified field(the father.)" These are just the way "I" interpret it.
This will be my last comment, and to be "born again" would be to experience the Unified Field. And by living in a way where you are experiencing it you become it. You can never go from truth(GOD) into delusion if you know it. But you can always go from delusion deeper into delusion. A person living in delusion can someday find God. But somebody who has found God will never go into delusion. That is why there is hope.

I agree. Even if followed in a literal way without understanding the metaphors, if followed without hypocracy for long enough time, You(what you thought you were) begins to dissolve. And what is left, is God(the unified field.)
And that is what I think Jesus means by "die before you die" and to be "born again." And once you are born again, the metaphors should make sense such as the ones I just used above.
In other words, our true nature, which is at the core of us and is conciousness(spirit), is what Jesus was living. Our true nature is forgiveness and LOVE. Hate and every other "sin" is created by the mind(hence it is a delusion.) And if you are lost in those things, you are disconnected from God(the unified field.)
Jesus was truth, he was spirit. He was this "oneness." He was conciousness itself. There was no him. There was none of "his will." He followed the "will of God."
In other words, what is there when there is no you? When there is no worry? When there is no Ego? When you are here but not here(as if you don't exist?) LOVE. That is what you are. All hate is created from your feelings that you create from certain situations. In every situation you can choose to "forgive" or hold a grudge and hate. And if you choose to hate you are stuck in delusion and you never mature.
What exactly is "loving" the creator? What is "belief?" True belief would be to follow his teachings and what he told us to do otherwise you obviously don't believe in him.
By the way, I pray a lot so I don't know if that has anything to do with me understanding this or not. I don't know if it is possible to experience "conciousness" without prayer or not. He does say "seek and you will find" not "read and you will know."
Hmmm I agree with everything that Dr. John has said except what he has said about there being 10 dimensions. No doubt we have come to a time now here on earth were modern science has confirmed the fact that we are all one united at the primal basis for everything in existence. I believe the next step now is to delve deeper into the "how" of how we experience and perceive the reality around us, scientifically though.
I'm happy to know that there is something that fills the previous gaps in scientific knowledge and provides a sound explanation for the integration of consciousness into everything. I still don't believe that the universe was created due to a "god" ; there has to be some other explanation.
The problem, my friend, is that "god" is so poorly and misleadingly defined (and hence justifiably placed between quotation marks), that it's impossible for a reasonable person to integrate such a concept with reality when he or she approaches the matter with preconceived notions. John seems careful to avoid saying it outright, but I think he's alluding to the idea that we're all part of this so-called unified field, and thus, constituents of a supreme awareness underlying all that is.

this is interesting, and very encouraging/inspiring, but one thing Dr.Hagelin does not seem to take into account is that nothing is certain in physics. he is very faithful in his theory, and speaks of it as an absolute, a definate, but superstring theory has not been proven and has many problems, many of which rely on the discovery of the higgs boson. I would very much like for this to be true, but his preaching still leaves me sceptical.

I used to be an atheist. I didn't believe in any of this stuff either. If I couldn't see, taste, touch, hear, smell, or feel it, it didn't exist. Then I started wondering: How in the world they get all those little, tiny people inside of a radio? Then it dawned on me, those people are somewhere else and the sound I was hearing was coming through the air on INVISIBLE (air) waves. What a concept! I also got tired of going through life as a 'wet blanket'. Nothing worse in this world than a killjoy.

Religion as far as I know doesn't explain self awareness for example. Spirituality addresses more fundamental questions like, "what am I". Spirituality does not need God. Religion needs God/s. Not only would it be impossible to accurately portray every aspect of a territory on a map, But the maps purpose is to simplify, as are words, allowing you to use them to create expressions to be interpreted through symbolism.

Hmmm I agree with everything that Dr. John has said except what he has said about there being 10 dimensions. No doubt we have come to a time now here on earth were modern science has confirmed the fact that we are all one united at the primal basis for everything in existence. I believe the next step now is to delve deeper into the "how" of how we experience and perceive the reality around us, scientifically though.

The problem, my friend, is that "god" is so poorly and misleadingly defined (and hence justifiably placed between quotation marks), that it's impossible for a reasonable person to integrate such a concept with reality when he or she approaches the matter with preconceived notions. John seems careful to avoid saying it outright, but I think he's alluding to the idea that we're all part of this so-called unified field, and thus, constituents of a supreme awareness underlying all that is.

I made a mistake before but i got it right now; if one atomic nucleus was vastly enlarged to be the size of the Milky Way galaxy that we live in 100,000 light years then the size of the unified field would be one 25.865972 of a inch EXACTLY and equal the size of a pen point, but that figure is exact. And to understand the size of the Milky Way galaxy, if you put the whole milky way galaxy between the earth and the sun, the distance from pluto to the sun would be approx. 9/16th of a mile.
