Here's what has me scratching my head, you may or may not know that the so-called dark areas of obamas BC are in vector art...that it, it is not comprised of pixels like a JPEG. In your video when you chose the OCR it took areas that had poor resolution and made a vector interpretation of it and replaced it. Fine but did you also notice that it makes a softer and rounder version,,,like what always happens(as far as I know) when you convert raster art to vector. The vector in obamas is squared

I downloaded it from WH website too. Opened in Illustrator, 9 layers right there, digitally added.

To make sure it was not the Illustrator mistake, I printed the document with highest setting on photo paper, then scanned it and opened scanned copy in Illustrator - sure enough, there is only one layer available.

This proves that WH copy was never scanned - it was digitally created and posted with layers unlocked!

Sloppy job at best.

@nick10463 Let's be clear, I think that it is a fake based upon object and text analysis (not layers).However, you do not have the same COTS scanning software that government bureaucracies have (unless you want to spend about $3K-$10k), so your analysis is worthless.Layers are not the problem, they are a diversion (and, don't think that they won't fix it).Look at the text, compare letters, notice vector vs. raster rendering, etc.The layer theory will get killed by the OCR debunk.

The difference here is that during the Depression, there wasn't as much partisanship or division or media saturation or cynical contrarian pseudo-intellectuals like you to muck things up. The federal government fixed things then, and they'd be able to fix things now if people would just get on board and be more willing to work towards fixing things.

Unemployment went down due to the draft, and the influx of women into the workforce in order to manufacture tanks, bombs, planes, etc. But, one cannot call this prosperity, because all war does is destroy capital (Bastiat's broken window). Further, austerity measures and rationing were common.

And, since all of Europe and Japan's infrastructure and manufacturing was entirely annihilated by the war, and we had a large manufacturing base, we were able to become the largest manufacturer in the world. It seems that you probably are not cognizant of economic theory, nor are you knowledgeable of history. Rather, you are repeating was the TV has told you.

The notion that it did relies upon a lot of baseless hypotheticals and I would say is based more on modern political spin than anything. At the very least, the New Deal kept people clothed, fed, and sheltered in a time of immense economic loss.

@ZrazorRozenstrauch No... ACTUALLY it is NOT. Open it in Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is able to distinguish the layers.

The "layers" argument is actually not a solid argument as the program itself could be creating them based on the different depth of color on the font... etc.

What cannot be explained, is other things. like the "61 10641" in the Top right corner. ZOOM in on the 10641, and you will notice the last 1 is VASTLY different. Like it was pasted in there on a computer.

@scott71785 What you are seeing is a bitmapped object, that is why it pixilates when you zoom in really close. There are plenty of other bitmapped objects on the document. The rest of the objects (especially the ones contained in the layers) are all vector graphics objects and don't pixilate. I still have not been able to come up with a good reason why this is, but I am still looking (i.e. I am still keeping an open mind to all possibilities). The white halos are also pretty interesting.

@synestheticmonotony Read the video description. All state and federal level agencies use OCR and Twain tool for text-replacement and conversion of near-black textures to 1-bit alpha. This process converts PDFs into layers and is done because it reduces file size and is in keeping with the Paperwork Reduction act. I hope that helps you make up your mind.

So, why did the raster->vector conversion catch the not so clean objects (Stanley's signature), but didn't catch the clean typeset? Why is the "B" in Jr's last name exactly identical to that of the "B" in Sr's last name? Typewriters don't make perfectly identical characters, yet the vector rendering did? There is probably a one in a few billion chance of that happening.

The one that everybody is getting all worked up about is the one at the White House website. If you go to the White House site, click on Administrations, it will open up a block where you can then click on President Obama's section. From there, on the lower right hand side, you will find the Blog where the file is available.
