I was in the zips commercial in the 70's where we did the Z signature in the sand. It was filmed at Haulover Beach in North Miami Beach, FL. @taraconn That's really cool that you were in that commercial. I remember that being in the 1970's but I forget the year that it came out. Do you have any cool stories to tell about the shoot? You'd think that the advertisers would have allowed you all to have a copy of the ad for your own resume's or personal keeping.

where's the commercial from the 70's, the original one with the theme song? Zips the big Z. The child actors in the commercial would do the infamous Z signature in the sand by running in place and zig zagging the dianol line to connect the letter.

Yes! That's the commercial I remember from the 70's! I always knew summer was on its way when they started showing that commercial. I still recall the jingle that went with the commercial!

hahaha....cool....wasn't cognizant of the seasons of when it aired. But what I do recall doing is the week after seeing it on TV, I'd find myself going outside to a local field & performing the "Z -signature" myself in the dirt, then I'd race my friends home on foot 2 blocks to where I'd win each time. My frustrated friends went out & bought Zips too b/c they thought it made me run faster! lol.
