  • Uh, okay, this video just wasted 1:43 of my life. What is the point of it? Does the maker of this video think AA flight attendants are the best in the industry? Are AA f/a's the ONLY f/a's??

  • The video is dedicated to the flight attendants and flight crews that died on 9/11 trying to save the lives of their passengers and all you can focus on are the false stereotypes that have come to be. Let's not forget the flight attendants on United 93 who risked it all and saved countless lives in D.C. I can assure you that all of the flight attendants and flight crews are highly trained. They are, after all, our last line of defense. They would not be flying if they weren't.

  • and some people shouldnt be allowed to own a computer lmafo aye

  • if you buy ticket check if the service and food

otherwise you will be regret and please buy two way ticket

otherwise if you go to counter they will ignore you

the cabin crew not really friendly beware do not carry dog as well

  • nice clips

  • @airplanegod he flies a MD80

  • @MathewVasconcellos listen smart home depot cashier i was a flight attendant for a while 6 months before i started flying as a pilot.(now i work for cathay at 400000$ a year) it only takes two years to become a comercial pilot and 6 months to become a FA.both are there for safety and i am sure you are the first who cries out for help when things go wrong.just because you have a shitty litttle job no money and no hope you dont have to bitch over my colleagues in the cabin.

  • @kenzo1708 400,000$ (Hong Kong)

  • @kenzo1708

you got a job flying for cathy pacific as a pilot ?

may i ask how many hours did you log in 2 years....

how many of that was PIC

  • jesse0576 we heard that you piss everywhere even at home !! thx for flying with AA ARSCHLOCH

  • @TheConstantYT Thankyou Muhammed Atta.

  • The airlines teach you service and every six months they reinvent the wheel to justify some overpaid manager that has not flown in the last 30yrs or never at all. Customer service on the other hand is not something you can teach, either you know how to treat people or you don't . Compassion, understanding, and flexibility are traits either you have or don't. However please keep your feet off my walls, people eat off the tray so do not change the diaper on it.

  • @MathewVasconcellos

When you said "face it, your job is not important", are you for real. After the 33 flight attendants that died on the morning of 9/11 along with almost 3000 other people that day? You need mental help

  • @jabrown45100 33 flight attendants?

I guess that's the answer to the question: "How many under-educated retards does it take to serve chicken or beef from a trolley while having an attitude about it?"

  • Seeing what flight attendants go thru is unfortunate. Even if I met a flight attendant that was not cheerful, which is rare, I completely accepted it, because I know what they go through. 9/11 turned their normal workday into a gloomy and horrifying experience for them. And the sad and worst part, is 33 of those BRAVE Flight Attendants lost their lives on that day. What could be more stressful in the World for Flight Attendants on AA, knowing they lost collegues they used to work with.

  • A High stress work environment entails worrying about all the things that could go wrong. Yet they receive the lowest salary

SO, ALL YOU OTHERS LEAVING COMMENTS COMPLAINING ABOUT Flight Attendants for not PAMPERING YOU properly or you are expecting a young beauty pageant for a stewardess instead of someone older, just be happy they saved your skin by getting you to your destination safely. They are there to SAVE YOUR ASS NOT KISS YOUR ASS

  • American Airlines are the worst in the world.

  • Asia-based airlines: passengers are kings and queens

    U.S.A-based airlines: passengers are inmates

  • I dont know ...has anyone ever flown with US Air? absolutely the WORST airline I have had the misfortune to fly with. Came to the USA from Australia last year. Will NEVER fly with them ever again. I cancelled my return trip to LAX on US Air because of how bad the service was and bought a ticket with Southwest Airlines. Now THAT is an airline who knows how to treat people. Am flying with AA this year because I have flown with them in the past and they were great...

  • I found that flight attendants of airlines from asia do much better at customer service than airlines from america...

  • Peace be with Betty Ong and Amy Sweeny

  • @balboa62 go sit down and leave AA alone i love AA i have 32 flights with them, cheap, always on time only one exeption great service

  • @tenor175 Thank you... Enjoy your career :)

  • How dare you say that being a flight attendant is for losers!! I am a great flight attendant for a great Airline. I went through hours and hours and weeks and weeks of hard exams and life saving training! You really want the truth??? Ok I'll give it to you! We did 30mins out of 5 full on weeks on how to conduct the in flight service!! The rest was all Emergency training! And to top it all of we as crew have to study for our six month checks and show a bunch of instructors from the FAA how to ev

  • @jaymw26 AMEN!!!!!! I went through the same thing....we have to be retrained every year according to FAA procedures and FAR regulations....what you said makes sense....we flight attendants are drilled and trained to death..all in the name of good passenger service.....As a purser, I take great pride in my work, and make sure that my crew will be safe along with the passengers.

  • Another question is all the bleached blondes in the pics with dark black roots.

  • Long ago, flight service was taken for granted and equated with restaurant service. Nowadays, its all reached new dimensions, since 9/11. Their knowledge about rendering medical, and many other contengencies has taken the lead. Yet their wages have not only lost pace with inflation but dwindled to almost minimum wage level from budget constraints.

  • @balboa62 Since 9/11 they are now empowered to be mean. Back then they might have been super nice but now, you can't tell them off or they could see that as "road rage". The world has turned around these days....

  • I think it varies greatly from airline to airline, I was on a flight with an LCC which shall remain nameless where a passenger collapsed... the crew had to search the plan for portable oxygen - something that they should be able to know the location of blindfolded. I think some FAs of today forget that they are there for safety, although one has to remember that people won't serve themselves and on a 19-hour flight people DO need to eat. Its a double edged sword

  • Customer service is great to have, but its not going to save your life which are the vital priorities flight attendants are trained in. Secondly, Flight Attendants are perhaps just as good in customer service as other professional occupations (ie, legal or financial representatives), but rudeness by the traveling public on a daily basis, may reciprocate with a sour taste in anyones mouth occassionally. Flight Attendants wouldn't be human if it was a perfect world for travelers.

  • Refer to below comment (to avoid misinterpretation)

I am referring to the critics-Who are Wrong. Flight Attendants are on the mark and should be praised and appreciated.

"They can't all be wrong"--I am referring to Flight Attendants' performance of their duties. Their doing a great job. Thanks

  • THINK ABOUT IT:

Why would so many have bad things to say about flight attendants? They can't all be wrong. Police Officers have also taken a lot of criticims due to misunderstanding about their job, as well as Vietnam veterans after return from the war. They also can't all be wrong. Complainers fail to see the endless mulititude of possibilities Flight Attendants are potentially faced with in a closed cabin. The risk factor of their work exponentially heightens as soon as they lift off.

  • God bless the flight attendants. Thanks for keeping us all safe :) :) :)

  • Does American Airlines have a grooming standard for its flight attendants? Because these are some tired, haggard, old looking flight attendants.

Give them a day off and a day at the local salon.

    Yikes !!!!!

  • thats not true delta and american have the best and its united thats the worst

  • american airlinessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • @balboa62 you were trained before a...um couple passengers stormed the cockpit and flew the planes into the world trade center. before the number of passenger misconduct incidents tripled, before the shoe bomber, the underware bomber, before ppl graciously paid less than greyhound fares to fly

  • I rather take the train or buss then fly American Craplines again. Safer, faster, better service. I really hope this sad excuse for an airline will be out of business very very soon. The skies will be better and safer without crap like AA.

  • only asian airlines have cute beautiful stewardesses... :P

  • @critx001 First off, they’re “Flight Attendants”. Professional Flight Crew Members. Secondly, beauty doesn’t guarantee their ability to help get your ass off a burning aircraft or one that has ditched in the water. Want to see a Super Model? Buy a magazine, not a plane ticket.

  • @rydioflyer At least American Airlines Flight Attendants are DRUG FREE... At least the ones who pass the druf test... God Bless you Flight Attendants who risk your lives to take us from point A to point B, everyday...

  • you know what! those ladies that are called old, they exactly know what they are doing!

Try using an american song next time.... flying the american flag my ass.

The name of the band is METRIC and they are CANADIAN.

Try becoming educated instead of just being a bitch the way you all are at AA.

  • @ruddytuesday

feel bad that AA didnt hire you huh....

im sure McDonalds needs you more

  • @iflyrjs I'm Canadian, you idiot. Was that not clear from what I said. Wow, let's hope you don't get anything besides that McDonald's job you mentioned...

  • @ruddytuesday

Im canadian to ...so whats your point? LOL

your canadian commenting on AA ok then enuff said....

  • @iflyrjs Riiight *pats you on the head* Go play outside, don't forget your helmet.

  • Well your service does suck. I don't like being cussed out by a flight attendant because I fell asleep half an hour before we approach landing...And I don't like being aggressively told not to fall asleep...on a 9 hour flight!

  • @balboa62 having flown both American as well as United many times, I must say all my flight attendants have been curteous and excellent at their job. Please don't make generalizations about all flight attendants of those airlines based on your bad experience.

  • To the idiot that posted this video. The reason why people complain about the service is because the flight attendants are rude. I once had to "defend" a stranger who did not speak English because the idiot flight attendant was humuiliating her. Also, I was woken up in the middle of the night somewhere over the Pacific by the same asshole attendant when she shouted in my ear "Did you want coffee?". Jumping out of a sound sleep I said "no", and in a cocky voice she said "oh, sorry".

  • I am sorry. I agree with the vast majority of people. American Airlines Cabin Crew are one of the worst around. I have worked with BA, and the service with AA is just not up to par. A paying customer deserves to be treated with respect and a smile... i mean... they are paying their salary!

  • I take my hat off to airline crew. Im sure its a really tough job havig to deal with customer's needs all the time. i know they work bloody hard for the money. Good on em.

  • ok honestly fuck if ur saying the flight attendants r here for safety... good luck when a fucking 180 year old man is a trained terrorist to bomb an airplane.... let me tell u that the flight attendants who are mostly women or gay men are not going to be able to take down a 180 year trained man..... it will be the passengers who will fuck the guy up so we dont need your safety bull shit.... we can think on our fucking own and fuck the FAA shit we dont need it on airplanes....

  • @makdak420 dude no offense but you obviously haven't met some of my coworkers that are gay men... they will bring you down and tear you apart. (no pun intended, lol)

  • @balboa62 , a lot of times people view flight attendants on united, delta american as worst, but that might not be the case. they might seem mean, but the thing is they have to look assertive when it comes to safety. we are trained to look nice at emirates, but when there is a threat or a suspicion, trust me that smile will whipe it self away!!! and i have seen it happen during inflight emergencies. i haven't work for united, so i can't really speak about their inflight service training

  • AA gives loads of chances to FA's that are violent onboard the a/c, abusive with passengers and crew, just as long as they're scabs. If you're not, you'll be fired and not reinstated. If you're African-American, you can even get away with being arrested for having photos of minors in revealing poses, then get reinstated after having been in jail. They're afraid of the NAACP, by the way. AA IS INCONSISTENT TO THE WAY THEY PUNISH THEIR EMPLOYEES.

  • You know that F/A are not a person that put a crappy meal on your lap they make your flight happy and safe and make an airline a airline

  • Hey I give those Flight Attendants nothing but credit they have to put up with all those passengers, and soem being very rude great job! From one public service employee to another you can never do enough!

  • I heard about the orange juice event that happened!! WOW...Then nobody backed the flight attendant.....That FA was wrong and used her job to her advantage

  • Just don't ask an AA FA for a glass of orange juice in the FC cabin !

  • Hey! I know one of the girls in this! She rocks...

    :)

    m

  • I really want to become a flight attendant, im only 16 though, can someone tell me what its like? the good the bad? do you make alot?

  • I love your video, but have to disagree on the notion that Flight Attendants are there primarily for safety and not customer service. They are there for cutomer service because that is the majority of what they do. The majority of training is on emergency preparation, but that is not done every day. I work as a Flight Attendant and customer service is what I do. Because without the customer you have no job.

  • I also am an FA. Yes,the majority of our job on board the a/c is customer service. But we are there PRIMARILY for safety - even if an aircraft departs with 1 passenger - the full complement of FA's must be on board because this is a FAA/CAA requirement - our job is primarily safety related-service is secondary. This does not mean that we neglect customer service- it means we have a two-fold role-safety and customer service. Safety is always the primary responsibility of FA's.

  • You are so right. Thanks for putting in such a way that all can understand what we really do.

  • When a safe environment is first provided for customers- then excellence in customer service can follow.

  • @Ludsy2001 I was with TWA for 30 years until AA took over and I retired in 2009, and went back to flying. I'm sorry but I highly disagree with you....I've always been trained to give good customer service service no matter what... I've always believed that my passengers come first and will do anything I am able to make them comfortable providing great service. Yes, safety and concern is my first priority as I am a purser.

  • @Ludsy2001 pilots are the primarily for safety what if it Wasn't for them you wouldnt be able to get from Point A to B safetly and in case of a emergency i dont think flight attendants are flight trained. an example of a pilot as a primary source for safety is Capt. sullenberger and the fine airmen before and after him. although flight attendants will assist in anyway possible not only will they cater to you they will put their lifes on the line for you. thank you for doing your best Cabin crew!

  • @Jimmy4manutd7ronaldo

you mention Capt Sullenberger he woulod differ with your uneducated statement

the combined yrs in exp of that particular cabin crew was over 50 yrs and no one was injured thanks to the cabin crew....

look up the definition of crew its called TEAM work

  • @Ludsy2001

next time you have one of those passengers on your flights i hope you were paying attention in CPR class instead of worrying about who gets the chicken and who gets the beef....

  • nice vid btw :)

  • it'a a tribute to flight attendants, people should understand that we are humans and sometimes we have nothing to do with the company decisions. Why cant anyone just watch a video without starting with silly comments about the company, the planes and that stuff??

  • Hey Flight attendants have my full respect. Im sure it's not an easy job, having to put up with every passenger's needs. I would flip out pretty quickly haha. I take my hat off to you.

  • LOVE this video! thank u!

  • When I flew American, I never had a problemwith their customer service. The only airline I have a problem with is US Air. It is the ground crew at Charlotte.

  • SQ's F/As are robotic and tend to leave passengers to fend for themselves during emergencies... CX and MH aren't five star airlines either.

  • I totally agree. I love AA's attendants. They're sincere and are quite professional. CX is a 5 star airline supposedly, but I don't like their attendants at all. I got snubbed by one and he understood he shouldn't have picked on me byt he end of the flight.

  • Bt they are !!! Anwser me this - If u had a choice of 2 airlines going the same place 4 the same price 1 had crew trained to deal with emergencys ant the other 1 had nice friendly waiter/ss who cant tell an exit from overhead bin who wud u choose 2 fly?? i Know who id choose!!??

  • Guys! Type 'glasgow cabin crew' into the

search bar and you'll see a fantastic video tribute to the cabin crew (flight attendants) who were based there and lost their jobs when BA closed the base in Jan 09!

    Very touching piece of work

  • Stop being so ignorant. Many people bitch about EK, LH, and AF F/As... Every airline has bad apples and AA doesn't have a worse reputation than any other major airline.

  • @Planeguy13

    absolutely right!

  • WOW, people have no clue do they. Flight attendants are mandated by the FAA for SAFETY.................NOT customer service...........Drink and Meal serving are done because the airline puts that as an additional job to them.

  • Exactly, in any emergency situation F/As will immediately stop doing the service and take over their primary role of safety.

  • @MrHeythere24 Yea yea, safety. It is not an "additional" job, it is their job. It is not like if I am asking a policeman to pass me a coke. These are people that are there to make my 4 hours inside a pressurized tube more enjoyable and try to justify the 500 dollars I paid for a 2 hour flight.

You are either to young to remember the era where the call button actually worked for something, or just bought in the idea that... that is just the way it is so eat it. Fly Virgin for some GREAT CS.

  • @MrHeythere24 Is it mandatory for the males to be homosexuals?

  • Safety! Is that why they always go on strike.

  • Flight Attendants are awesome especialy AA's

  • beautiful tribute. people who hate flight attendants should try our job not even for a day, just a few hours and see how well they deal with being treated like scum.

  • I think it's just like any other public servant job. You start out all bright eyed and bushy tailed, but after a while, you have to get thick skinned. Individuals are usually ok, but as a whole, people are idiots.

  • People have to quit bashing flight attendants and just try walking in their shoes! Times have changed and it is not the flashy job it once was. There is one bad apple in everyone's place of employment so quit generalizing.

Great video! Keep em coming Planeguy! xoxo

  • WHOA WHOA WHOA!! i hvae flown on Lufthansa and i prefer AA flight attendants over Lufthansa Flight attendants any day.. and if you would read the description it explains that Flight Attendants are not for Customer Service they are for SAFETY!!!

  • Finally, someone got the point! :)

  • @witcherdude I agree with you on that. I am a AE flight attendant. People don't know what we go thur to become a flight attendant.

  • This is a fabulous evacuation by AA employees. Imagine this as a REAL evacuation with passengers trying to bring along all their carry-on baggage.

    YOUR DEAD !!

  • why all the flight attendants from american airlines are old?

  • Because they have careers, not on 5 years contract like other airlines.

  • @patolasmujeres1805 As one of the 'old' flight attendants, someday, an old flight attendant may save your ass my friend. Think about it. Have a great day...and thank you for flying!1

  • no entiendo

  • who sing that song??

  • Metric-Help I'm Alive

  • This song is really good!

  • lol 00:47 looks like my mom shes a flight attendant for american 2!!

  • 9-11-01???? Refresh my memory.

  • I use these pictures of AA flight attedants for my storys of travel

  • GREAT VID! AA DA BEST

  • This is so wonderful!

    xoxo the beavers

  • thank you

  • I LOVEIT
