of course a stretcher wont rip a hole in the carpet if the person that said that knew any thing about the uk flooring industry he would relise that pretty much all uk carpet fitters use the standard stretcher or knee kicker as otherwise known the only time it is needed to use a power stretcher is on big jobs usually contract where you have very long rooms where its not possible to get a proper stretch. Jesus! wish people would know what they were talkin about before they posted

Good stuff!! Been fitting since '85. Used a power stretcher a few times, but dont like them. It seems a very American thing to do. I don't know if us Brits have harder knees & stronger backs, but I can kick a through lounge end to end no trouble!!

they dont powerstretch the carpet,

in america you have to be certified by the manufacture to instal carpet or it voids the warranty, there has to be problems with carpet wrinkling or bunching up because it wasnt stretched properly the kicker is not a proper stretching tool

@leeeleee81 oh yeah a gun could do more damage then good too, but if you know what your doing then it wont, plus tell me how the kicker doesnt rip holes in the carpet from tryin to kick it so hard to get the wrinkles out, no offense but thats dumb for you to sit there and say if its done properly it doesnt need powerstretching, thats like telling telling a mechanic that he doesnt need a torque wrench if its done properly. your gonna throw your damn back out from using that damn kicker.
