Quite good. I did not have the sense (or helpful advice) to start in a doorway, so I just took some nasty falls my first few times. It also helps to put a block or an aerobics step next to the rollers so you've got an easier step down. The rollers elevate the bike 3 inches or so, most of us don't have that much clearance to the main tube...
@ReneeNme I have SRAM Force/Rival on an old steelie. I'm upgrading my Dad's Gitane TDF with mostly Campy right now (still has simplex rear derailleur but it still shifts amazing so it'll probably stay). And I'm getting a Ti bike with old Veloce (Full-cog up-shift). The Ti bike weighs 18.5lbs so it isn't snob worthy but it will be a fantastic bike. That is the issue with snob'ism as I've learned over the years. I stopped being one when I was beaten down by a pro.
@pcfxer Funny you should mention Gitane. I have a 80's Gitane Professional that I am rebuilding from the ground up. It should be a sweet ride once the cycle is completed. " Steel is Real ". lol
I think you did great. I'm started off really bad. Took a break, read the instructions, watched your video, and am going back on my rollers with them in the doorway. Awesome video!
Man, that was VERY entertaining! Loved the vid, i 'was' thinking of getting either rollers or a turbo trainer, although after watching this video i'm getting the turbo trainer definetely! It looked dangerous, looked to me like you were trying to cycle on ice! I wanted to see how you got off! :)
Thanks. That brought back a lot of great memories...
I don't know whether I'm more impressed that you shelled out the cash for free-motion rollers or that you had your wife make the video. Double word score, dude!
Once you got going, you looked great. I say without a huge fan blowing in your face, lose the bike jersey - cotton t-shirts will get wet with perspiration and help cool you down while you ride.
i want to see you get off the thing, when you get good you can ride no hands and take your shirt off over your head, then you you know you have tamed that puppy.good luck and keep trying
Screw the boxers ride nekkid be freeee :)

GREAT JOB!! You got the hang of it very quickly. Does the emotion roller feel natural once you get going? Thinking of purchasing a roller.

Why don't you use the bicycle where it's suppose to be used? On the roads? Or do you believe in polluting the entire world but not your home?
