The music is like the spanish version of "The Cure".......at least I think it's spanish. At some points it sounds russian......whatever it is, it's god awful.
those kids they dont even know that there will be internet and games online, you tube in the twenty first century.....and we wont even know what 100 years from now will be...
Fantastic clips! perfect music too. does anyone know what the song is called? All I can hear is 'san francisco' and 'compassion' so google can't really help me out :)
The Lumiere Brothers were the first to regularly film actual scenes of life (mostly around their families, at the beginning) in Paris and France in 1985-'96; eventually expanding to photographing scenes of the entire world...
You know what's weird? When this was taken, it was closer to the French Revolution than present day is to this. That's so weird..

Why is it that most videos made over a century later and put on youtube look worse than this..?

Great footage. Dumb music. Why not use something more appropriate, possibly some music from 1896, for crying out loud.

The oldest surviving film anywhere was shot by the French inventor Louis Le Prince on October 14, 1888. It's called the Roundhay Garden Scene.

GOD SO WELL PRESERVED!!!!!
I mean even given that the photographs are 113 years old there so clear,
like we can see the gloss on the cats fur
and the very luciditey of the Siluette (forgive my spelling). :)
