  • Nitroplane, can you say type/manufacturer of this edf jet please?

  • @7digitalSunday Sorry the jet was owned by the pilot that flew it in the video. I won't be able to tell you the make/manufacture for the jet.

  • @nitroplanes i looked on your site and the closest thing to it was the Art Tech Jet Tiger which was out of stock. I really like the design, it is simple sturdy and fast. I hope you offer the jet tiger again. i checked the internet and didnt see it for sale any where else. hope you offer something in the same class except maybe faster.

  • @7digitalSunday Yes we will still get the Jet Tiger again, when the item comes in we will update the website right away.

  • It's OK!, we can rebuild, Packaging tap and 5 min epoxy...........

  • XD

  • Bummer :/

  • what was the power setup? link please!

  • Altitude is your friend.

  • ^_____^

  • i dont think that jet was going 200 when it hit more like 120-150, if it hit at 200 it would be shredded

  • Thats the problem with 200mph Touch and goes without a landing gear... hehe

  • Note to self: Dont try to break the sound barrier with a 20mm EDF jet.

  • mayday !! mayday !!

  • :o

  • Wow! There are a lot of busy-body know it alls in the RC community. Lighten up guys, everyone crashes. Guaranteed the guys chastising the pilot in this video have crashed too. He crashed in a low pass over the runway, NO WHERE NEAR killing anybody, and he wasn't flying towards or over the spectator area. I don't know what speed the jet was moving at, but if it was well below the 200 MPH mark as so many critics are claiming, then he was well within LEGAL limits. Dude flew/crashed plane. The END!

  • looks like you had yardsale the other day....

  • this is a hobby lobby Thunderbird 70mm edf jet on a 7 cell lipo.

  • what type of plane is this

  • turbine: "FREEEEDOM!!!!!"

  • At those speeds, one mistake, and it's hundreds of dollars wasted.

  • THIS ISHH IS FASTT

  • Crashing sucks and no one wants to do it on purpose, but when it happens and you can get it on video then it isnt all that bad because you do end up getting something cool out of it. A awesome crash video!

It is all part of the sport.

  • this happens if you don´t respect your toys! don´t waste them by going full throttle for nothing! there was NO reason to go berserk, and nailing the ground with it!

  • @tallblondesexy Yep! I'll agree with that. Looks to me like over control or poor set-up. Perhaps the pilot should try using expo on their radio and better servos.

If it really was capable of anything gover 100 MPH he should be using more expo and digital servos with ball link connectors. That thing was all over the place. He's gonna kill someone one day. :-(

  • foam!!!! rubish

  • How do you not fly over the shooting range with that

  • LOL! Fan unit unit bouncing along at 0:42!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Ouch! Brutal. But, repairable. :0)

  • Comment removed

  • bullet with wings

  • im sorry for ur loss

  • There appears to be a typo in your title... Where it says "200+ MPH EDF", it should say "100+ MPH EDF"...

  • I was trying to figure out the setup by slo-moing the electronics ejecting from the fuselage! Nice vid. Sure want that setup, please share!!!

  • He's so hopeful.. i doupt that thing even made it to the trash...

  • In Slo-Mo it almost sounds like a real turbine!

  • did it die ? :(

  • Now walk the trail of shame,, and find all parts,, lol

    then I am with Ibart2005 ,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • thats the fire bird? if soo i want to buy it and lets see the rebirth video.

    john

  • Now thats one fast EDF

  • How you people control these thing going that fast, is just insane.

  • touch and go...

    :) lol

  • glue...done...

  • The pilot survived

  • 100% pilot error

  • did the pilot died?

  • Only FPV Flying on this plane!!! 315km\h

  • See, this is why you don't blink. :-)

  • @rele30 Again...its not a license , its a membership that has benefits like liability coverage if you hit something or someone with your airplane, it also lets you fly at AMA chartered clubs or flying sites...if anything..think of it as an insurance policy you pay more money, you get better coverage....and the AMA saftey code is the guideline to cover you... .

  • ...Being that Nitroplanes attends AMA shows all over the country, I would say that Tonny and Donny ( the guys in the video ,who as a matter of fact, work for Nitroplanes)are AMA members.Tony represents Nitroplanes at these AMA shows...Check out the video ..Nitroplanes at the 2010 AMA show.....Can you tell that I buy a lot of stuff from Nitroplanes????? lol

  • Sorry it crashed that way.

If it was on the test flight...

Next flights, spend some time learning the airplane before flying too close to the ground, then do it little bit slower. Go step by step, pushing the throttle all the way is easy.

It was a great Steve Austin crash :)

  • @eitanoiman lol

  • it is always sooo easy to blame the plane/electronics etc. A good pilot will admit to their errors. Everyone messes up, it goes with the hobby. Whether it be wind, or whatever... on a side note, does that thing really do 200mph? and are the nitroplane pilots AMA certified?

  • @rele30 He's not blaming the electronics...He's saying that the electronics got thrown 100 feet away from the aircraft because of the impact.....And just so you know.... anybody who pays the AMA membership fee is "certified"...you dont have to know how to fly an R/C airplane to become a member....you pay your 50 bucks or whatever the fee is and BOOM...you're "certified"...It's not a license or certification...Are you you tube certified? HAHA!!

  • @pancho1576 I know he didn't blame the plane, just a comment referencing many of the comments on the video. Merely stating it is the usual way people go rather than admitting fault...

  • @pancho1576 and surely I should have chosen a different word than certified. Just curious if they have ama licenses, Mainly due to the difference between a parkflyer program and the other is the size and SPEED of the planes, Anything over 60mph you need the bigger license. I am guessing the field is used for a lot of flying there and like my area they are required to have AMA license to even fly at the field.

  • haha what a great way to start a new job!

  • I agree with ibart2005 ,,,We can rebuild it. Make it faster, stronger, and with a new driver, it will last longer than a min. ,,, So, true......

  • so fasssssssssst I had to watch 3X

  • holy smokes! That was fast.

  • My MY, Thats fast!! How do u even react in time?

  • Sorry about your plane! But it was a great video.

  • Ouch! That was spectacular, tho.

  • are you sure that ur plane 200+mph?

    200mph=320kmh

i dont think so you can fly it at a small flying site.

  • Unfortunately the pilot was killed upon impact, authorities are not releasing the name of the pilot until relatives have been contacted.

  • Worlds longest skidmark. :') Sorry about your plane man. Atleast the video is good. :P

  • It's like my first time in a flight simulator...

  • dude i wrecked my trainer plane trying to take off. i kno the feelin. well mine was worse i think cuz it was my first accident. either way all u can do is keep ur head up. =\ happy flying? lol =D yes happy flying it is, even if u wreck. just keep smilin... keep smilin.... keep smilin.... lol

  • @Blakhawk1703

i just hit a tree yesterday with my jetiger :(. broke in 3 lol.

nothing epoxy wont fix with these edf jets though :D.

gotta love the learning curve ;).

  • @ESECK13 give me money and i will, but seriously, that's no 200 mph

  • Lies! No way 200+mph... maybe 130mph or so. Get a speed gun guys.

And complete pilot error on that crash... who tries to do that fast a pass at 5 feet?

  • @thechoosendude me, and most of the guys at our club.....

  • @thechoosendude Agree on pilot error

  • We can rebuild it. We have the technology. We can make it better, faster...

  • @lbart2005 Less.... explode.

  • @lbart2005 Sounds like the 6 billion dollar man. LOL

  • try doing that with balsa.

  • @mtvenar

    hahaha.

    pieces of confetti.

  • ouch

  • Now that's what I call a LOW PASS!!!!

  • I'm not sure if thats fast enough LOL and thats why all us foamie boys like foam, you glue them back together and your ready for another flight ;-) and i feel his pain as my p-51 nosed in today ;-( and she will fly again well i hope lol, thumbs up and we want more of this plane.

  • damn.. just... just damn...

    :....{

  • 200 mph my ass

  • Which plane is that and how can I get it to go this fast? :)

  • i want to see it fly again.. and lets hope a good landing

  • Ouch!!

  • maybe not electronics fault, but when you go very fast, the control surfaces may not have responded.

  • Just pack it back in the box, send it back to Nitroplanes and tell them that's the way it was delivered.LOL. Or better yet put it in Tony's desk drawer and blame him.

  • @jauchiu this is nitroplanes video??

  • @jauchiu then why would they send it to themselves?

  • @jaitchproductions Nevermind.

  • oops!

  • Very nice jet.Great crash. Nothing a pit of glue and tape wont fix. I dont know how you fly them I find it hard to keep up with a trainer plane

  • ouch....

  • ya it well fly why wont u hand launch if and lets see how it flys

  • 1st AND JEEZ
