@yurgrandma Why i mainly played multiplatform online games on pc about a year ago on my awesome windows xp powered gaming pc "with xp i could play old games, but with a beffy CPU, RAM and graphics card i could all that new shit too". it died so im stuck with an office quality windows 7 laptop. can't play anything too old due to windows 7, can't play anything too new due to not being able to upgrade to decent parts. source games run at 12-18 FPS. thank god for GOG

oh my god thank you. not really for the review but reminding me of Big O. it was the first anime i ever saw (even though i only caught about 30 seconds) and ever since i saw that robot burst out of a building i wanted to watch the entire show but i never found the name and didn't see it ever again. it had to be more than ten years ago but i still remembered what that mech looked like and now i can finally watch my lost childhood cartoon!

@jamievfx Can't see this being anywhere near the worst game. Sure it had slow pacing, but that was part of its charm. The pilot's skill wasn't a twitch finger like in an FPS, it was in strategy; using the layout of the land to strike from key positions, coordinating with teammates of different RTs to support and complement one another, capturing COMBAS towers to create a better command and communication network and organizing with other players in order to properly compete.

I bought a second-hand copy and when I got home I found out the idiot that served me never put the manual inside and they claim they don't have it. I don't even know what the hell I'm doing in the beginning. I'm moving the robot around a small part of a desert with tanks firing at me. What am I supposed to do in that stage? I know it sounds like a dumb question but without a manual and not much objectives, it's more dumb trying to play the game like that.

@foozy12 Unfortunely it already is and the reason I say it that way is a buddy of mine mentioned the game and then I did some research and go to find out they took down the online servers...and I was really wanting to actually get it.I honestly might pick it up just to have it.But thing is the rights and what not were sold to software which is who makes armor core..so will there be a 2 we will never know but wish there was even though I havent played it but the vids I have seen look fun!

For 10 bucks, this is not a bad game at all. It's one of the few launch titles for the 360 that's actually still being played by many. I have not played Armored Core, so I cannot make any comparison, but Chromehounds can be horribly addicting once you get the hang of it.

Chromehounds 2 will be out eventually, despite how long the first one has been out. You'll have people telling you it's just a rumor. Call Sega and find out for yourself. You may just want to wait for Chromehounds 2.

best tactic Ive found with my squad is, 4 of us have heavy gunners which have 3 double firing cannons(having high accuracy low movement computer parts helps) the other 2 have sniper scouts. they locate the enemy base and we take it down from range with the scouts saying where to aim. as we have found out how big one map grid is (about 250) we can take most things down from over 1000 range if we have the grid location without the scouts now.

Mech lovers, don't hesitate to get this game for about $10. It's easy to make friends, given you meet the right people. Anybody who plays it anymore happen to be really nice, but are also damn good at the game. The learning curve in this game is steep, just remember not to run an "open cockpit," and don't act like you're invincible. This game is tons of fun once you find out which Role Type you're really good at, then later it becomes addicting ;)

Out of all the reviews, this has got to be the best review I've seen, much better than IGN's review even, they seemed so one-sided on the game. This guy knows what he's talking about. I'll be getting this game soon; I've always liked mech games, can't beat it for $10 at gamestop, and hopefully I can make some friends who play it alot. I like the concept of team play vs gundam styled mechs (over powered 1 man killing armys) But at the same time CH mechs are SOOOOO damn slow. In the end I prefer AC its just funner controlling the mech itself. Those online matches get intense.
