it would last more than 3 years... it would be impossible to extract 80 billion barrels from ANWAR in 3 years(from the time the first drop of oil is taken out of the ground) You can only take out so much at a time, pipelines and refineries need to be built to accommodate the extra oil. Barrels of oil aren't doing anyone any good sitting around waiting to be refined. Lets drill now to help our economy pump more tax money to the gov't to invest in alternative energy!

I just know that watching MSNBC and CNN is like watching Barry's own personal campaign channel...You can't go 10 minutes without hearing about how great Barack is, anyone saying anything else is cut short, interrupted and mocked openly, or called a racist. CBS, and ABC are not as bad but still left leaning.
Then you watch FOX news and get the other side of the spectrum, republicans attacking Obama and supporters on the wright issue along with others. It never ends.

I did a search for this and if this is the only ammo you have for your argument it is weak at best.
1.most interviews(unless live) are edited for time constraints in order to have enough time for the Important Stuff.
2.they posted the entire transcript of the interview on their website for anyone to see. Thats how Keef Olberman found it.
If they were intentionally trying to cover it up they would have omitted it from the transcript entirely, unless they are just that dumb.

McCain apologized here for not being able to make his planned photo-op on an offshore oil rig to highlight the glories of offshore oil drilling, but neglected to mention that the visit was cancelled because it was too unsafe & dangerous to go there with a hurricane bearing down. The oil rig had to be evacuated. That doesn't exactly jive too well with the GOP rhetoric of how safe & harmless the practice is.

In hurricane Katrina, none of the offshore rigs sprung a leak. That was one of the most powerful storms we've ever seen, I think its pretty safe for the environment.

Although the oil would probably be used for majority american citizens, it really shows just how much oil is being left untouched thanks to the always trustworthy environmentalists. But your quite right, there needs to be money and a safe plan for alternative energy rather than cutting us off oil and hoping we find a solution before its too late.
