Look people, she didn't ever say this was a song by Evanescence, so stop acting like she did. The title is Oceans OF Evanescence, not Oceans BY Evanescence.

Also if you actually pay attention, it's obvious that she didn't name the song in order to attract Ev fans. Look at the date this video was uploaded. Over ONE YEAR ago. Long before Amy Lee even announced the making of a new album.

Anyways, I really love the song, and hope to hear more from you in the future =D

I like your song, but the title sucks and you know it. Not only doesn't it make sense, it's also a cheap move to attract evanescence fans into watching it.

Actually I did put thought into naming this video. I do love Evanescence... But that's not why I named it what I did. The word "evanescence" means "fleeting." I called it Oceans of Evanescence because I wanted it to mean "fleeting oceans." Oceans are deep, mysterious and sometimes frightening, like feelings. Basically it means fleeting feelings... The transition from minor to major and back to minor display different feelings... which disappear into another, like waves in an ocean. =)

@XxAnnasCavexX It doesn't really means "fleeting", it's more like "vanishing". If you wanted it to mean "fleeting oceans" you might as well have named it Fleeting oceans, it would sound much better. Oceans of evanescence sounds reaaally forced, but that's my opinion.

I didn't. It was named Oceans of Evanescence long before she had a song named oceans; it just happened that she wrote a song named oceans as well. And note the title never says that it's BY the band Evanescence, if you read my info it says that I wrote this song. =)

Um. I did. Lol. The title is "Oceans of Evanescence" I explained why I named it that previously in some more of the comments if you'd like to check it out. =) I really didn't mean to cause a fuss when I named it it just happened to be coincidence that Evanescence named one of their songs oceans which makes it confusing I guess.

This is pretty sweet! Here's some constructive criticism which took me a few minutes to think up because this song is cool; you should work on your dynamics. The subtle differences of loudness and softness is key to real beauty in your sound. Sure the notes are great, but if you concentrate on the sound itself, it'll make a world of difference. Start a phrase or a melody softly and it gradually build in loudness or energy and end the phrase or melody softly.
