Well done! It looks very much like parts of the Mojave desert, which is an area I know well.
My own layout is narrow gauge in 1/24th scale, outdoors, using many tons of real rock plus handmade cacti and shrubs. It's patterned after the desert east of San Diego. All the structures are scratchbuilt.
@raydunakin Thanks, i did my best, i never been to the US so it was quite a challenge for me. Now , your layout is something else :) .. im amazed by it, that requiers a lot of dedication and knowledge, u should be proud, im not really into the gauge nor era u modeling but its South Ca and that im deeply in love with x).. ive subscrived to ur channel, nice editings also.. keep me in touch!!
@daztrein bravo you know the micro rc business could use some of this have you ever considered making a scenic track for rc cars to race on like say model mountains and put roads thoughout the mountains and possibly even a small bridge over a water fall (not real water though) it would be genius not just a rc track nor is it just a diorama
@xmodssouth Thanks! Ill take ur proposation as a compliment, and i understand everything what u are saying. In fact i could do everythin u wanted BUT, there is a big problem, i dont live in the states, im from europe. Saying that i could make a little diorama but the shipping costs and all the riscs that comes with such a operation i dont think i want to do it. A full scenic track its impossible. SO to resume all, im sorry, im not interested. Im sure u can find some one nearer that can help you
@daztrein even if not intrested never be scared to try it just takes some creativity and there is no need for the states many rc companies are actually based in europe but I understand your concern and see why it isn't worth it bye
@xmodssouth Even better, why dont u guys do some research and try to do it urselfs? Really seems hard but it isnt and its a thing u can do in group and very fun to do. greets
@daztrein hmm I always have wanted to give it a shot but I tend to move ech 2 years or so and I have intrest in the scenic track so until my parents decide to sttle in one place it will have to be on hold :(
@spookymufu Thank you, ill take it as a compliment, i hope to be able to go to the states at least one time in my life, if so, movaje is on the top of the "must seen list"
@daztrein I used to go to the Tehachapi loop and watch the trains and there is a small yard in Mojave that I used to go watch, it's a nice place to railfan
For the plants I mixed 3 types of Underbrush and made lil balls with it: (medium green, olive green and forest green).
I used basic simple Gyproc jointfiller 45 for the road, with the right consistency it works fine. For the lines u need flexible creped masking tape and acrylic paint. The road itself painted with acrylic also and weathered with a weathering powder by MIG called "black smoke", applied with my finger. Everything sealed with anti shine matt varnish.
what is the prduct name for your Woodland Scenics desrt bushges and how did you make the roas Im seriously interested in the road as im doing a Mojave layout myself
@ScaleModelRailroad thanks mate! yeah i need to run those marklins sometimes lol. I must say it looks funny seeing some of those belgium engines on a u.s. desert x) I simply couldnt do them away .. thats why the c-gleis
@AllenRockwell Thank you sir, i take it as a compliment, i never been in the usa, its a dream i have, ive seen ur youtube, where u live is so beautifull, i wish i would also
You have made a very nice job of that…Thank you for sharing it with us.

beerdispensing 1 year ago
@beerdispensing 1. Coarse Turf burnt grass. (start thin layer)
2. Blended Turf earth blend. (thin/medium layer on top)
3. Fine Turf yellow grass. (seal everything now with this)
4. Fine Ballast buff. (make sand spot highlights with this)
5. For the plants I mixed 3 types of Underbrush and made lil balls with it: (medium green, olive green and forest green)
6. To finish, sprinkle here n there a mix of Talus fine buff and extra coarse natural
7. Also used Noch grass tufts: spring n autumn
