  • A little advice for Joe Hockey. When Heavy Kevy pulls that knife out & shoves it back into Gillard's back, don't do that Sunrise gig again. Rudd just showed you up mate & one can imagine your old pals act had Muppet voters thinking you were singing from the same hymnbook ! Not a good look mate. This video could have been made for Sunrise.

  • The drummer is Stephen Bray, who co-wrote many of Madonna's early hits, including Express Yourself, True Blue, Into the Groove, Angel, etc ;)

  • Kids Incorporated did a nice cover of this and it was made in the 80s so you know its not a crappy recent cover.

  • The guy with the hat looks like Barry Sobel ( the comedian on227 from the 80s)!

  • cool vid -)

  • Hey, It's The Miz!!!

  • Here's some trivia for you, Madonna was the drummer in Breakfast Club before she went onto a solo career, true story.

  • @rminister1971

Madonna also almost went into porn.

  • I just woke up this morning with this song in my head that i swore i have never heard since the 80's...iam only 27 so i was kid back then but it these sub conscious memories have been coming back to me over the years. My mother was big on music so iam sure she had something to do with it lol.

  • @Kamakazi7000 I did the same thing this morning for some reason !!! hahahaha

  • GOD I LOVE THE 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic clip-thanks for posting, been looking for this.

  • Vanessa Williams stole half this song for "Running Back To You".

  • @kpz1234 She didn't steal SHIT. Someone else wrote the song for her and they put it on her Lp. . .dumbass.

  • Is that Angelyne in the beginning of the video?

  • I freakin' love this song, 80'S FOREVER!!!!!!

  • song in my head all day ty securitydude717

  • man all the 80's bands had so much fun making music it was about the love of the music not the love of the money like all fucking commercial music today

  • fucking finally someone reposted this song. i couldnt find an original version anywhere on da web. securitydude717 ur da man. this song is fucking amazing

  • whos comming here from shazan?

  • When I heard that the Breakfast Club sings this song, I thought that Molly Ringwald and Judd Nelson had formed a band. LOL!

  • Best 80's video EVER!!! Played the 45 'til the vinyl wore out, too...

  • WHERES Madonna?

  • Hadn't heard this song for ages! Thanks for uploading :))))))))

  • wow ... one of my favourite songs from the 80's :)

  • Why wasn't this band bigger? I loved there songs.

  • DOES THE BLONDE LOOK LIKE LADY GAGA???

  • that white boy has got some moves.

  • @nitnoy77 those moves where b4 there time next time i go out im moving like that

  • classic mid 80's poppy pop...and to think if they stayed closer to Madonna, perhaps they would have really made it!

  • A great 80s Band, The B side -ROT- instrumental- was a big dance club hit

  • what happened to the lead singer? he's so cute!

  • I love this song...quite possibly my favorite song of the 1980's, which is a bold statement but damn its good!!!

  • BC hit #7 in Billboard, 5-30-87. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • Yeah, Madonna played drums in his earlier band called Emmy. She coveted his lead vox spot a little too much and lead to her departure. Tight band. You can definitely hear where she got her sound.

  • thanks a lot for sharing

  • Look out ladies, here come Col. Sanders and the Great Gonzo!!!!

  • Cock-a-doodle-doo! Waaake uuup!!! It´s Breakfast Club! Awesome!

  • wasn't Madonna involved in this for a while...at some point?

  • @somesortanaughty Yes, in the early 80's. Nice job!

  • @somesortanaughty this song is about how he got "back on track" & wanted Miss Ciccone back. She was part of his group before this...his loss.

    wiki breakfest club.

  • @MontrealMan1970 thanx 4 that piece of musical info... i do follow musical history in all its forms, and this was a massive piece of info,,, THANK U!

  • 1986 911 Turbo to the floor with this on the Alpine blastin'. I'm like totally Jazzed.

  • This it the epitamy of an 80's song and video. One of the best, lol. I enjoy this on so many levels, lol. Just go wit the flow, =)

  • Perfect song to go back to my teenage years, great stuff...

  • Please activate the option for mobile phones, so that this great song is also viewable on android mobile phones and especially on android tablet PCs (Youtube: "My uploaded videos - Edit - Broadcasting and Sharing Options - Syndication – Yes, make this video available on mobile phones and TV … - Save Changes").

  • Doesn't this set look like pee-wee's play house? Maybe it's just my eyes

  • Such a pity Breakfast Club's songs are not available on itunes. It's hard to find cd's of this great band.

  • I was already a progressive rock snob and metal head by the time this song came out but I friggin' loved it!

  • I like the dance steps of the singer very upbeat!! amazing song to remember the old days!! This group is so unique & different with their style of sing & rythm!! Just perfect song to hang with!!

  • If I were to hear this in someone's car, I'd be boppin' to the beat. Good to see Wink Martindale in this video.

  • This is a great song! I'm pretty sure Stephen Bray was the drummer. Someone probably wrote somewhere (incorrectly) that Madonna was the dummer for this band & it's been repeated ever since. She was a dancer when she & Stepehn came to NY. He was a drummer (and a friend of mine). She did vocals with the B. Club for awhile (not sure if she did lead or backups). Then Stephen wrote and produced her first hit, which she took credit for. It was settled in court ;-) & they kept working together.

  • I need a Red Ruf Turbo to rip up the coast with this blasting on the green-glowing Alpine.

  • madonna was drummer for this band

  • N'dea Davenport (from Brand New Heavies 5 years later) as lead chicken!! :-)

  • Is here in the video Randy Jackson as a bass player?

  • @BassMasterSlovakia

Randy Jackson wasn't in the Breakfast Club. He did play in Journey on the Raised On Radio tour. You can probably find videos of that tour on here.

  • It looks like Pee-Wee's Playhouse!

  • @chipdrusano Yeah, a little bit.

  • Love the song though

  • No

  • Another great tune to come out of the 80's!

  • Gosh, you gotta miss the 80's. no lip syncing except for milli vanilli

  • Amazing song.

  • So, this is the band that Madonna once played drums for back in the day; I wonder how good of a drummer she was. We'd like to see her behind a drum kit so she could show us her skills. At any rate, Nice tune. Late.

  • this band is phenominal.

  • I love the song, and the lead singer is pretty cute/cool, but the video is redunkulous.

  • Bless you for this blast from the past. I just canceled 30 years.

  • WHERE IS ANGELINE.........

  • It kind of looks like they're in Peewee's play house.

  • Great rythym skate song from back in the day. If you lived in Phoenix in the eighties you probably skated to this @ Skateland Mesa or danced to it at Devil House.

  • For some reason this song popped into my head so I thought I'd head here to look for it. Glad to see it's posted (thank you) because this used to be one of my favorite songs. I had no idea N'Dea Davenport was in the video - learn something new every day :).

  • This song is part of the soundtrack of my life and to this day I NEVER get sick of hearing it, thanks for such a good qual vid.

  • I loved this group, lol. Dag whatever happened to them!

  • @YhwhKhai I liked them too, but I guess with only 2 fans they couldn't keep it up. The chickens are really weird (IMHO).

  • Madonna being in this band at the start of her career in music...being the drummer...a song I thought would never again to be heard by me....darn, Youtube MUST be on the top 10 list of "All-Time Best Knowledge Sources", and not only in music...just a little reflection of mine...

  • Madonna used to be the lead singer

  • Boy, they sure laid an egg in the end! WOW!

  • That's Brand New Heavies' Ndea Davenport as the center chicken! :-)

  • Does PeeWee know this is being filmed in his playhouse?

  • the only video i know that makes chickens sexy!!!

  • :( Whatever happened to visually inventive videos like these?

Breakfast Club never got the recognition they deserved.

  • Madonna used to play drums in this band.

  • @fatpizzaman I forgot Madonna used to play the drums for this band!!!

  • Was their album released in 1987?

  • Twice, apparently :-/

  • I am totally planning on getting married to Dan Gilroy :)

  • I'm totally planning on marrying Dan Gilroy.

  • awesome blast from the past ty so much

  • No chickens were harmed at 4:53

Even though it looks like their feathers got a bit ruffled! LOL

Thanks for submitting this music video from the Breakfast Club!

  • @mastahpo lol wise comment, my friend
