Phil, this is one of my favorite songs of ALL TIME!!! Thanks so much. I live very close to the ranch Neil Young was living on (in the small town of La Honda) when he wrote this song about the caretaker there. I saw him once at a very rustic local restaurant, then called "Alex's" but now called "The Mountain House" way back in about 1980.
