  • Thank you for the video, your video has been very helpful, i was able to identify my coolant sensor with your video and some research, mine is slightly different as it's a european car, good video! btw my car has 1 sensor/sender/guage with 4 cables and has a second port/plug/input next to it that is blanked off, i assume this is for the higher spec version of my car

  • Hey Rich. I went to do this on my 01 sc2. The video led me right to the sensor, but the wires look like they are just one wire but that seemed to be the least of my problems. The wire was so corroded it just broke off from the sensor and where ever it connects to. I am a stuck here as I cannot trace where the wire broke off from. I see the sensor side but where is the other end to where the wire goes? Any suggestions?

  • @jrankhorn Check your inbox i will send you a picture of a gen 2 should be the same.

  • @richpin06a :D although you've help this person mate there is still alot of people who would be interested in the answer to this question incase they may come across this problem on a different car make etc even though they haven't commented :D please answer the question publicly if you don't mind thanks

  • @SuicidalLooney I would but youtube will not let me post links here.

  • @richpin06a Just space out the links mate such w w w dot youtube dot com/watch?v=cucm7QGlsYs&feature=email&email=comment_reply_received

  • I was trying to do a quick search online for a P0442 (2000 Saturn SL2) and the ECTS could be a possibility (if a new gas cap doesn't resolve the issue). We were able to pass my wife's car for inspection last year by luck (MIL went off by itself, but came back on after inspection). That MIL has been on since she got the car 2 years ago... since then, I've had to do the ATX solenoid replacement, changed the coolant piece on the intake manifold, changed the water pump, etc. Ideas?...

  • Also, those things I replaced were just normal for the SL2.. nothing related to trying to get the MIL off, just explaining what I've had to do to the car since we've had it lol...

Noticed that the radiator has a very small hairline crack on the driver side (behind the headlamp)... do you have a video on replacing a radiator in a 2000 Saturn?

  • @adanecki05 Most of the time a P0442 is a bad gas cap or the surface were the cap mates to.

  • @richpin06a Does it matter if it's an AutoZone or OEM gas cap? Because that was the first thing we did was replace it.

  • @adanecki05 I have never seen a Autozone fuel cap so i do not know how good they are.I would figure they would be tested ahead of time to make sure of fit.

  • its a 98 oldsmobile bravada 4.3 6 cylinder cause i get this service engine soon light on my truck and i did remove the negative side of the battery and for like a fe wmins it went off and it went back on and i did get a diagnostic text at autozone like a few days ago and it mention i need a temperature coolant sensor and a few other things that my mchanic took care of.

  • @richpin06a

Tried this on my 1996 Saturn S-Series to try and get the transmission to shift into fourth gear.I was directed here by one of the users at Saturnfans.Car still doesn't shift into fourth!

Any ideas as to what may be the problem?

  • @kendedrick1 Sorry i do very little automatic transmission troubleshooting i ship that stuff to the guy down the road.

  • where is it on a oldsmobile bravada

  • @187thenewbreed year and engine.

  • @187thenewbreed Hey honee...I miss you fo real. You know I wanna suck yo thick dick right ??

  • Hi Richpin. I am having the exact same issues as luisschwarzenegger. i have checked the coolant temp sensor and harness and they both appear to be ok. the ects is also the updated brass version. i am wondering if the intake air sensor would cause the same symptoms? i dont know what else to try.

  • @Starbucks340 The easiest way to check those sensors is to put on a scan tool that is able to read live data.

  • @richpin06a Thanks. Got it with a good old set of American pair of pliers...Happy New Year richpin06a

  • I noticed you're engine coolant cap came right off. I'm having trouble with the one on my Dad's car. After he passed I kept it. Gets good gas millage, but I'm having trouble getting the cap off. Any suggestion's. Thanks for posting car mechanic tips!

  • @MrCaptainchronic99 Put a pair of gloves on and twist for all your worth.

  • hi i have a 97 saturn sc1 and it wont start when its cold outside like when the temp is 32 degrees and below.could this be from the temp sensor or the egr valve?it shakes hard when it does start and idles to 2000 rpm.when its warm outside it runs fine its just when its cold outside and it hasnt been started.any thought or sugestions?also ive replace the crankshaft positioning sensor and gave it a whole new tune up oil, spark plugs etc...

  • @luisschwarzenegger Sounds like a possible bad engine coolant temp sensor. If you replace it look very closely at the connector. We just go ahead and replace both when we do them.

  • @richpin06a thanks man,ive tookit to a mechanic shop and had it scaned and it came out as an egr valve being the problem.ummm ima just change both of them and see wha happens.

  • Could it be the cold weather preventing it from getting to the half way mark between 1/4 and 1/2?

  • @vuglialoro Temp will affect a little but not that much.If you put a scan tool on there and look at the live data you could see what's going on.

  • the temp gauge has been right on 1/4 and the rpms are at 800. The car has been sitting in the driveway for 10 min warming up.

  • OK I also changed the connector also last night. This morning when I woke up I started up the car. Its cold weather about 30s. It still does what it normally does, starts rough in the 2500 rpm range and lowers down with the time the cars been started. The gauge still will not surpass 1/4. I do not get it, I know its not normal. I have changed the connector and the sensor now. I drive the car around and still sits at 1/4. What gives? I also have a terrible belt squeak in the mornings. New belt.

  • Changed this sensor out today. What is the normal gauge position for a gen 3 Saturn? I changed it and the temp gauge stays on a quarter unless idling when it goes up till a little over half after a while and the fan turns on. The car seems to rev at 1000 rpm at times even with the car warm. I do not know if this is normal since its cold out? I have not done the connector yet thats my next step.

  • @vuglialoro Half way between 1/4 to 1/2 is the normal operating range.

  • I have a saturn l200 2003. Is it pretty much the same procedure.

  • @legaspi89 To tell you the truth i have never replaced a coolant temp sensor on the L200

  • Hey Rich another great video, and how come we never get to see the man behind the videos and mystery voice? LOL, let us see who is teaching us these great lessons..thanks Bro'..

  • @CHIBA280CRV Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.......haha.....i will make an effort i one of my up coming videos.

  • @richpin06a Good video. I have a Saturn L200, 2003. Is it pretty much the same procedure?

  • Rich, your videos are invaluable.

Is it possible for this sensor to inhibit emission monitors from activating? I can't pass emissions inspection because some of my monitors are in a "not ready" status. While driving, I can get the temp. to just about past the 1/4 mark, idle, about 3/8 to 1/2, but when I start driving, it goes back down to 1/4. The idle is erratic until warmed up too. Also, where is the sensor on a 2001 SC1?

    Thanks Rich!

  • @PianoSoulos It very well could. The coolant reading not being correct is one of the more common reasons why the monitors do not set.It is located in the same place as in this video on the end of the cylinder head.

  • @richpin06a Just want to say thanks Rich, changed out the thermostat and ECS and the monitors activated pretty soon after. Will FINALLY be able to get this past inspection!

    Thanks again!

  • @PianoSoulos That is great news.

  • thanks a million for this, followed your instructions and did it all myself in 1 hour. The NAPA unit I bought for $23 had teflon tape already on the thread. I jacked the car up on the driver side about 4 inches and hardly any coolant came out. For others reading this , another indication the sensor is failing, other than hard cold starts, will be the temperature gauge only goes up to about 1/8 under normal driving. Thanks from our SL2, 290,000km on the clock

  • @brucerigby Thank you for helping others with your experience.

  • do u have to bleed the coolant if u change the sensor??

  • @TheFairladyz33 The ones i have change like this did not have to be bled.

  • ive been having some problems with my 96 saturn sl2 and was wondering if this could be the cause, 1. at around 5500k i get throttle cutout and then it comes back around 5000k, only to happen again at 5500k again. it only happens at pedal to the floor WOT. I can slowly bring it up and it wont happen (most of the time) 2. Ive never had my fans come on.. ever... It doesnt overheat though. hoping for a simple fix... Maybe even a misfire? your input would be great. thanks

  • Just changed the sensor. Now, when the car starts up the fan turns on almost right away. The low coolant light, and temp light also come on when the fan does. Car runs a hell of a lot bettter, but it just has a high idle and the fan is always on. Any ideas?

  • @GraniteBees Is the A/C on that would make the idle higher and fan on.

  • @richpin06a Nope. AC is off. Car starts, goes up to about 2500, then drops down to about 1000-1100. Like 20 seconds after the car starts the fan turns on, and then the lights come on. Car only shifts at about 5500 too unless i throw it into 2nd or 3rd gear.

  • @GraniteBees A scan tool would be very helpful here to see what the tps percent, air and coolant readings are.

  • Gret and helpful video. I hear you can jack up the right side of the car to lose less coolant, too. Just less to clean up.

  • I'm having problems with my fan! it doesn't goes on... i had check the relay, fuses, i change the ECT, the fan works, but if i turn on the AC. i don't know what else could be the problem i need help to fix it.

  • @Gordow302 Is the coolant getting hot enough to turn it on, 226 deg on the Saturn S-series

  • @richpin06a Hey rich my saturn 93 overheats. I changed the radiator and a sensor. I also the temperature goes up for a few minutes but then goes back to normal. Any idea what the problem is???

  • @40s4breakfast How was the connector on the engine coolant temp sensor. Was the radiator cap and thermostat replaced when the radiator was replaced.

  • Thanks for that one, worked like a charm, worried about it at first, the check engine light came on, but just had to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery and letting the juice run out. Fired right up and idles really smoothly now.

  • Hey Rich, Is there a difference other in price for the Delphi brand coolant sensor over the Echlin brand ? I took mine out just to look at it and mine looks like the Echlin which is only 14 bucks at Nappa and the Delphi is 23 bucks.

  • @MrRaiders6769 Not the ones i have come across they are all brass.

  • Just did this simple replacement and it fixed my issues with starting up (difficulty starting/required pumping the gas, and then emitted lots of white smoke from the exhaust) immediately! And THANKS for specifying the socket size!

  • @feathinsilyar That's exactly what my 98 is doing! I almost dropped 100 for a new fuel injector lol

  • ok so i have a saturn 2001 sc2 and i replaced that sencer and the car over heats now when it half way to the h thats in the red mt fan is not kickin on when it heats up i have to turn my ac on to cool it

  • @4200staci There is a good chance that the connector that goes to the sensor is bad.

  • i have a97 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 where is it thanks have problem finding it

  • @wildwind03 Under hood, center, front engine area, below valve cover, mounted in water outlet

  • That 13mm is a deep socket, right? It looks alot bigger then the 13mm I have with my tool set and probably explains why I couldn't for dear life get the CTS off my 94 SC1 SOHC.

  • How much would it be affected If I don't put the tape or pipe sealant on it? Is there another alternative?

  • @69in89 You might be able to get it to seal without tape or pipe sealer just do not over tighten.

  • My coolant level light is always on even when the car is cold and the cars running a little hot the only thing not working is the fan could the sensor be causing this?

  • @dedski7 Yes it is quite possible because the computer uses the engine coolant temp sensor to turn on the fan.No sensor no fan.

  • Hey rich i have a 1995 saturn sc2 and i was wondering which is the top sensor and which is the bottom sensor?

  • @Cowgirlsforever188 The one with two wires is the engine coolant temp sensor the one with one wire is for the coolant gauge.

  • Thanks for your work,

You mentioned in this video in replacing the ECTS to use teflon tape or plumber's putty. I didn't realize teflon tape could handle such high temperatures. I don't use the putty so I wouldn't know, but when you say teflon tape, do you mean those little coils in a white container you can get at the big box home centers in the plumbing section?

I'm sure you do but just wanted to check. Thanks again.

  • @briholt100 Yes it is the white tape in the small coil.

  • hey guy can u tell me where the temperature gauge sender located on a 2001 mercury cougar zn model v6 please HELP ME

  • @a1lover78 It is located on the water crossover tube.

  • @richpin06a thanks for the reply rich but i still haven't found the sending unit someone told me this car has 3 sensors i changed 2 already but im having trouble finding the gauge sender

  • Thanks for the Video. Very Helpful!

  • Wanna start by saying thanks for posting all of these saturn tutorials, they are life savers! I just wanted to ask if its normal for the s series saturns coolant level to go almost to the red when watching it in the dash before the fan kicks in? or do I have a problem with my cooling system?

    Thank!!

  • @tyguy1077 It is normal for the 91-95 model years.

  • precieeted so much bro

  • @richpin064 i did this repair yesterday. THANKS.

  • @richpin oh ok thanks again.

  • k, i will take it somewhere to get a drop pressure test as you mentioned, now i wonder if it's the pump i have to replace or the fuel filter, i found some instructions on replacing the fuel filter which seems fairly easy, now if it's the pump i will have to take it somewhere else.

  • @richpin064vand like what exactly do this sensor do? my guess it controls thge temperture. and how do u know if u need to change it?

  • @omarG19100 The ects tells the computer what temp the engine is so it can calculate the right amount of fuel to inject into the engine plus the right spark for the plugs and operate your temp gauge.

  • k, thanks a million for your reply, now can i just replace the valve alone? or i have to replace the entire fuel pump? if that is the case i read somewhere that it has to be an EOM fuel pump because it comes w the hooks or something like that, that the generic ones won't be easy to fit is that true?? thanks again.

  • @dannycruz201 The valve is part of the pump so if the valve is faulty the pump needs to be changed.I would do a pressure drop test to confirm.I have run into aftermarket pumps not fitting well in the past.

  • @richpin064 do u have to changfe the sensor or can u jus disconnect and clean it with the electronic cleaner. mab its better jus to replace it but i like options lol.

  • @omarG19100 Not on that sensor you need to replace it.

  • First of all great video, and very useful. This is my problem I have saturn sc1 2001, with 89000 miles on it. I drive a total of 6 miles to work everyday 3going 3 coming back. The fuel pump was replaced a bout 3 months ago , the coolant was leaking and it was over heating (problem fixed). Now my car does not start unless i press the gas pedal and this morning my car shut off twice while i was idle at 2 traffic lights, it idles very weird like it's going to shut off. I called the saturn dealer

  • @dannycruz201 Sounds like you have fuel pump problems the check valve in the pump sounds like it is not holding pressure.

  • First of all great video, and very useful. Thsi is my problem I have saturn sc1 2001, with 89000 miles on it. I drive a total of 6 miles to work everyday 3going 3 coming back. • Question. I have a 2002 Saturn SL1. I get the coolant low red light on my dash but the coolant level is fine (new coolant too). I am getting a code of P0128 also. Which of your suggestions do you think is the problem? BTW, my temp gauge is normal and heater/ac works perfect.

  • @smorrow0816 Its possible you have:

    Low engine coolant level

    Leaking or stuck open thermostat

Faulty cooling fan (running too much)

    Faulty coolant temperature (ECT) sensor

Faulty intake air temperature (IAT) sensor

  • Two Part question:

A: Can you test your ect connector w a test light? or is their a fuse..

B: Can you replace w your air connector and leave off the air connector? autozone doesn't carry connector...thx, frank

  • @piratesbelay I would use a multimeter on that connector because the feed comes from the computer.I do not know what a air connector is.

  • in my 91 GM car can i just do it liek this, because i dont want to drain the radiator of coolant i just put some fresh coolant in the radiator and reservoir.

  • @GOGOGREENGIRL1012 I believe on a lot of cars you can do it this way just a little bit messy because the coolant gets on the motor.

  • Thanks for the video. You're a lifesaver.

  • on my 97 saturn sl there is a red light flashing, i looked it up in the manual and is described as "high coolant temp/low auto trans fluid" why is this light flashing?? thanks!

  • @hradesky You are low on coolant or the sensor in the coolant tank is sticking.

  • on my 2000 saturn car a red warning light just came on it is a box with an arrow pointing down to a wave inside the same box. is this related to this coolant sensor or another colant type sensor? or what is it?

  • @matadorxpress Is the light flashing.

  • @richpin06a no it just stays on for a while and then sometimes goes away. i saw your vid about the coolant level sensor sticking. do you think that might be my problem?

    thanks for the reply

  • @matadorxpress If the light is steady the engine or the automatic transaxle could be overheated.

  • mount, now still seems to shake but i haven drive it for very long to see if still moves the temp gauge to red,my other situation is when i start it 1st time of the day,it will die as soon as i put my feet on brake to shift, only way to keep it running is useing both feet at same time, also the fuel gauge wont move is stuck at empty, thank you for shareing & god bless you :)

  • hi rich, im just new to all this saturn situations,some1 toldme to check u vids here from the forum,im a fan now!!!!!! haha,i very apreeciate that some one like you whit all the knoweledge is willing to share it,my question is,do i have to replace both sensors on my 97 twin cam? the gauge seems to be more close to the red when i stop in traffic, but when i drive it goes back,at 1st,iwas thinking it was due to the several shake of the engine(is kindda fix by the way y replace the torque strut mo

  • @TheCHICANO1979 On your 97 you only have one temp sensor. From what you have said it looks like it and the connector going to it needs replacing.

  • Rich , i have changed my thermostat, fan motor, and the fan relay.. and still the fan barely works and the engine likes to overheat some, the fan is pretty loud so i know when it comes on, recently i have not heard it running.. can it be the temp sensor or the wires and connector.. what do you think is wrong?

  • @jayjaydeal On the Saturn s- series the number 1thing that makes the coolant fan not work properly is the temp sensor and its connector.A scan tool with live data would tell you right away if they were working right.

  • My friend and mechanic who is about your age suggested I send you money : ) I think YouTube is one of the greatest inventions. When someone else is willing to share their knowledge with tuturials and emails it's Great ! I plan on driving this 95 Saturn for awhile. I was going to scrap it out because it needed a new clutch pack. Then gas went crazy and I decided to fix it. Lots of new parts in the last month. Just turned 225000 miles today. Chat with you later. Thanks again RichPin !!

  • @dakotarazzle If you or any one else wants to pay me back and O that would be so appreciated find my videos with the google ADs on them and click on the ADs i get a few cents on the clicks.

  • I tested for vacuum leaks a couple different times in different areas. Where are leaks common on Saturns ? I've changed plugs, wires, pcv and now the temp sensor in the last few weeks. Does the computer ever need time to adjust to changes ?Thanks for the help Rich !

  • @dakotarazzle Common places for vacuum leaks are intake manifold and around the throttle body including the plastic line going to the purge solenoid. The computer does not need any time to adjust you just clear it after making your repairs.

  • I just replaced the Coolant temp sensor on my 95 Saturn. Thats the code I got from the dash. It was the only code to read. Took it out for a drive and the check engine light came on again. This time it was 4 quick flashes for the code. Is that a 44 code and why would that code flash now and not before? This Saturn is driving me nuts trying to get the engine light off.

  • @dakotarazzle If you read the codes off the check engine light it goes 1-4 rapid flashes,pause,1-4 rapid flashes.

  • @richpin06a Thats the code I read yesterday and it was the only code. 14 so I replaced the coolant temp sensor. Took it for a drive. The check engine light came on again so I read the code and it is 44 now which is Oxygen sensor was under 0.3 volts for 3 minutes of closed loop operation. I replaced the 02 sensor last year. Any idea what could cause that ?

  • @dakotarazzle Vacuum leaks will cause this code.

  • A little coolant will come out? lol if you leave it unplug you can drain half the cooling system

  • @raidacaipo Yes your not suppose to stop for a beer after you remove the sensor......LOL

  • my radiator fan goes off randomly and whe nit does te check engine light gfoes on with it.. could this be it?

  • Do the threads ever seize on this part? Thanks!!

  • @99carnot Not anyone that i have seen being brass helps

  • OK, I'm equally embarrassed and frustrated. I had trouble interpreting the "that's tight enough" part of the video so my new question is, "How do I remove the remains of the new ECTS that I just twisted off due to over torquing.

  • @C5ChandlerKent You have to remember you are dealing with a pipe thread which does not bottom out like a regular bolt tightening it is all in the feel. Now that it is broken you will have to use a extractor tool to remove it.

  • @richpin06a Thank you for the quick response.

Grateful and informed ... but still embarrassed

    Thanks again

  • Hey Rich, I just wanted to let you know that I got my car fixed by watching your video. It was indeed the ECTS. Who would have thought that a $13 part could cause such a headache over a years time. Thanks to you and your video. It's Fixed! I Hope. =)

  • @mossy500camo fingers crossed

  • @richpin06a Man.... Dont scare me. Why do you say that?

  • @mossy500camo O i though you said it's fixed! I hope if so i just agreed with you.

  • @richpin06a Yes Sir It's fixed. I just thought maybe you knew something that I didnt. lol! Thanks for the Video.

  • I just replaced my ECTS with this video as a guide. Thank you very much!! I did not have a 1/4" drive so I used a 3/8" drive. Is there any way of knowing if I overtorqued it or not? I started the engine and checked it for leaks, and I didnt see any. If I overtorqued it, will it eventually fail? Thanks again!!

  • @fairjason It will not fail from overtorquing what can happen is the sensor could break off.

  • hej please somebody can explain me why we need to change sensor? what happen if we not change?

  • Rich, your videos are great. Can't tell you how much I appreciate them. Thanks so much!

  • @Osprey101 Thank you i try to do my best.

  • Thank you for posting this. Of course the SES light came on and I changed the thermostat and that was not the problem. I sure hated changing that with the AC in the way. The lower bolt was invisible and hard to get a turn on a ratchet. Should have done this i guess. Thanks again.

  • Hey rich can you post it for a 3800 engine? I have a grand prix that needs a ECT sensor replaced

  • some good stuff to know. gonna do mine to the 87 taurus. Hope it works and does everything okay.

  • what is the reasons that he is replacing the sensor because these videos only show people doing the work but are not explaining the reasons why.

  • Hey Rich just changed my ECTS. Runs perfect now. Idles at about 900 rpms was at 1100, reads accurate temp. on the gauge, was reading just a hair above cold all the time and best of all, it shifts into overdrive at highway speeds. Oh and it starts up normally. Did it just like you said my friend. Was really very simple. THANK YOU!!! Would have paid a mechanic much more than the 12 dollar part and the 13mm socket I bought.

  • @chuckv5150 Wow that is great news, did you pick up the 1/4 inch 13mm deep socket from AutoZone.

  • @chuckv5150 Yes, I picked up the 13mm socket for about 4 bucks from Napa auto parts. I don't think we have an Autozone in this area. Anyway what I'm most happy with was the shifting. I was worried I had a transmission problem. But I read somewhere that the shifting is related to engine temp. somehow. Worked out nicely . Much thanks again.

  • ok here we go im about to install 1 on my 97

  • @rorry314breaker You can do it

  • Also how much would it be if I have to replace the connector?

  • I'm not sure if you can help me but I have a '98 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder & I'm not sure which sensor is the temperature sensor. I'm pretty sure the one by the thermostat is the switch since I took it off & it was brown, is the temp sensor on the driver's side?

  • @quotemeonthat hi it doesnt matter what car it is the coolant temp sensor and the temp sensor for the dash gauge are both located on the thermostat housing. also coolant temp sensor has two wires and other has one. hope that helps

  • @mhonarc74 Car might be low on coolant running hot and you probably know this but i will throw it out there. The fan will run continuously when the air conditioner is on.

  • i had to also spray carb spray to get the car started this morning dont know what that means

  • @vito1100 The computer must be getting the wrong info from the sensor.

  • its the worst in the morning

  • @vito1100 It very well could be the engine coolant temp sensor. If you have a scan tool you could find out in two seconds.

  • hey rich, i have a 1997 chevy blazer and i been having problems starting it up. it gets hard to start when the car sits for awhile, like 3 or more hours. i believe its the coolant temperature switch.what do you think?

  • @vito1100 How does it start when it is cold say in the morning.

  • @vito1100 thats the worst time trying to start it

  • hey there Rich, i wanted to ask will what you doing solve the problem on my 1995 toyota camry has 135miles on car and engine, the problem is that everytime i try to start my car up it will die , i will have to keep doing a couple times just to get it running. but when i stop car and go in to a store and come back like an hour or so, i will have to do the same thing over again to get it running would you know anything about this if you do please help

  • @651DSM Hard to say it could be coolant temp sensor, leaking fuel injectors, fuel pump pressure regulator could just need a tune up.

  • sweet video thanks a lot. i almost sent my saturn to the junkyard

  • @MRDOCMANNY no no we don't want that....lol

  • My car keeps getting really hot, I checked the sensor and it is the new brass one. why does it keep doing this?

  • @balaun17 Thermostat,block radiator or low on coolant .

  • Wouldn't it be better to drain the coolant a bit first so it doesn't flow out like that?

  • finally found it.. thanks!

  • hey rich i have a 1995 so theres two different sensors.. i think its a switch and the temp sensor... which one of them tells the fan when to turn on? and which one controls the temp needle on the dash?

  • @loverrboii00 Look for the one with 2 wires coming from it that is the one.

  • hi rich, just installed a new ECTS today. and after putting evrything in.. i started the car.after about 5 seconds the SES lights comes on and the temp and low coolant signs light on too..I need your help.what wll i do? maybe i over tighten it? BTW the fan works now. should the engine be cold when you replace it or it is find even if its a little bit warm.. Thanks!.hpe you can reply to me ASAP..
