  • You must get a bunch of exercise doing multiple backflip combos. But can you tell me is there any way to protect myself from getting severely hurt if anything goes wrong? Like while im doing the backflip, is there any way I can keep from hurting myself if I fall ontop of my head, neck or face?

    Good job!! try to be faster with your rotation now! it means, don't leave down your legs after you jump but bring them with you a little bit ;)

  • Alessio here is my backflip (in reply) Poor quality because I recorded the phone, but we can see a backflip. Please help you to my backflip. Could you describe in detail what I am doing wrong?

    sure!! you already know that you go backwards too much. But you're also not fulfilling your jumping phase and your legs are too far from your body at the time you want to tuck! Be sure next times you jump and you already bring your legs towards your body and don't leave them down... if you do that then you need a lot of time and energy to bring them next to your body and it would be just a time waste ;)

  • Hi Alessio. When trying to make a backflip on a hard surface is very fast moving. Do not I fly in the top just a little bit up and puts my body parallel to the ground. Can you help me? I'm doing backflip on his feet, but does not spread at all in August (lands crouched).My problem lies in breaking. Could you describe me how to stand out to fly in the Top without turning parallel to the ground?

    hi as far as i understood you go backwards instead of going up! that's fear problem... try backflips on trampoline if you have a chance to find one and try just to go up!! the problem is that you want to arrive and be safe after your exercise so that's why you rip the movement... work on it ;)

  • Hi alessio. I have to ask you something... On multiple backflips, some people says that we have to go up and not back on each backflip. You said that we need to throw our head backwards. Of course, I think we have to get height and some distance , isn't it? My opinion is on your side, because we must have more momentum if we go backwards for the next backflip... Please, tell me something if I don't understand or if you have time, explain how works these backflips. Thx for the tutorial by the way

    yes we have to throw our head backwards a little bit because we need to take a very little distance between every backflip. As you increase your speed and height every backflip should become easier. Remember on multiple backs it's like you want to go high like a backtuck but throwing back your head just a bit, but the backflips has NOT to go too much backwards. Do it like you almost want to stay on your spot. Phisics will do the rest

  • hi i can get height in my backflip and i tuck tight, knees to chest, but i still land on my face , i been told i tuck too late , any tips on when to start tucking and increasing my rotational spin

  • sure... start tucking at the moment that you are getting at the top of your height. This moment happens fastly so your tuck must be fasterin order to give you an extra jump. You should complete your rotation when you're still at the top of your height. If you fall the reasons could be these: 1 you don't grab your legs exactly and you push your chest towards your legs (so you don't spin), 2 you tuck when you're already falling, 3 you throw all the exercise backwards so you don't get height. Best!

  • wow you actually replied thanx , i think i am doing the pushing my chest to knees thing and tucking to late, i am going gym today, i will try wat you told me tuck fast wen i just nearly hit my height grab my knees to my chest and not chest to knees, and i will upload my vid so you can see if it works,

  • i got much better now, its true if you keep going at it you improve, when i said i land on my face, i didnt mean on my face i mant putting my hands down to stop landing on my face, also i do it on a soft mat so it doesnt hurt at all if i fail, once you get a basic technique right you always rotate enough to land on your knees!! and then you have no fear

    p.s practice on soft mat and you'll get rid of the fear then you just need to practice height and small tucking

  • Don't have to tuck you legs to do backflip. As long you got height and momentum you make it. Just practice

  • I never learn backflips on trampoline. I learn this on the grass and sand. Your arm and and facing direction's very important. You got to throw your arm backward up and hard. The tuck part is just to help you rotate faster that all.

  • i KNOW i could do a backflip on the ground if i could do it one trampoline considering can do a bunch of flips on the grounds just not backflips. but i cant do it on the trampoline. the fear is KILLING me. I tried 2 and i landed on my head both times.

  • search up SELBZ STANDING GAINER! that's the gym i go to! on top of that thing i first fell backwards and landed on my back! (scary for the first time) then i repeated that! then after that i just went for the backflip and i did it! after that i went to lower level into the pit and i did it! then SELBZ spotted for me on flat ground and i did a backflip a couple times! then i just went for it alone and i nailed it! all in less than an hour! that's how i learned!

  • im guessing youd end up in a pool... i wouldnt try that if it were me, it get too used to having a soft landing and wont brace myself enough for on land... up to you though

  • Fanbol - I did my first backflip today :) i was a little afraid u just have to go for it.let go of the fear its easier than u think.watch loads of tutorials.Get two spotters.TWO!.This will almost absoulutly eliminate the fisk of falling.show ur 2 spotters some vids teach them how to spot and then just go out to the park/grassy area and DO it!

  • i reckon you need to jump higher, youre trying to tuck before you leave the ground. once youve gone up and grabbed your knees, pull them as hard as you can towards your chest. then youll be able to do it right

  • i watched this video and today i finally did it myself, without needing a spotter in the first place. Peoples worst fear is.. well.. fear. The fear of going backwards. its really nothing to be scared of. People find frontflips alot simpler, since you know you're not gonna land on your head, because you tuck it in straight away. Backflips are 10x easier to land than a frontflip, trust me. Click my name, i got my backflip on record.

  • the trampoline is just there for getting the feeling of how it is to be going backwards and get the beat of the trampoline.Of coursee the backflip on the hard floor is way different, but on trampoline you can learn the 3 phases ,jump-flip-landing and study it and perform ém perfectly.Anyway I learned backflip on hardfloor right away.

  • I have the same problem, i spot my friend but he is to little to spot me, and i dont have a trampoline to use

  • ignore my previous comment i can now easily do backflips but not as clean as those if u want i can post a vid and may be u can give me some tips. and yeah the multiple backflip thing is so difficult i cant land on my feet that way!!

  • this is a really good tutorial :D but if you tell em to hold on to their legs they will long wnough to land on the neck or head :P its hard to know when to land in the beginning.

    sto' imparando a chiudere i primi backflip.

    ma nel flick normale non ho molta altezza. cado molto sulle braccia senza aver molta elevazione.

    eppure spingo molto con le gambe coordinate con la spinta delle braccia.

    hai delle risposte tecniche su i problemi più comuni?

    non so come uscirne io. se non continuando ad allenarmi.

    se non hai molta elevazione è probabile che tu non salta del tutto, cioè pieghi la testa indietro e stacchi da terra quando ancora le gambe non sono completamente distese. Il fatto che cadi sulle braccia invece può essere perchè non tiri su il petto una volta completato il giro ma ti limiti a cercare il terreno con le mani per paura di cadere male.
